UP CM Yogi Adityanath to meet Kamlesh Tiwari’s family tomorrow, family assured of financial help, security, gun license and job

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is going to meet the family of the deceased Kamlesh Tiwari by tomorrow evening. Former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari was yesterday assassinated by two men who entered his house in Lucknow with a gun and a knife concealed in packets of sweets and had brutally murdered him by slashing his throat.

According to reports, the UP CM will meet the family members of late Kamlesh Tiwari at his official residence in Lucknow at 11 AM on Sunday.

The Gujarat ATS had today arrested three youth Khurshid Pathan, Faizan Pathan and Mohsin Sheikh from Surat who had reportedly confessed to the crime of murdering Kamlesh Tiwari in his residence.

Earlier today, UP DGP OP Singh had informed in a press conference that the three suspects and the two killers were all radicalised and they had planned Tiwari’s murder because of the remarks he had made in 2015, calling Prophet Muhammad gay.

However, casting aspersions on those arrested, Kamlesh’s son Satyam Tiwari said that the video footage of these three accused should be matched with those who entered their house and killed his father. He further said that his family’s demand is to have an NIA probe and they have no trust over the state administration.

The Lucknow divisional commissioner Mukesh Meshram met with the bereaved family members of slain Kamlesh Tiwari, assuring the family of security and financial aid. “We have taken their demands into consideration. A meeting with UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been fixed for the family. We are ensuring their security and recommending a government residence for them,” he added.


He further said that a gun will be provided to the eldest son of Kamlesh Tiwari for self-defence. “A licensed weapon will be provided to the eldest son for self-defence. He’ll also be recommended for a job. They will be helped with monetary assistance. The investigation into Kamlesh Tiwari’s murder is currently underway,’ he said.

The Wire demonises Kamlesh Tiwari even in death, lies about him being ‘convicted’ in the blasphemy case against him

On 16th October 2019, Kamlesh Tiwari was brutally murdered by radical Islamists because, in 2015, Tiwari had allegedly ‘insulted’ Prophet Muhammad. Tiwari was with the Hindu Mahasabha before floating his Hindu Samaj Party. In 2015, he had stoked a controversy with a statement on Prophet Mohammad leading to his arrest. The Uttar Pradesh Police had slapped the National Security Act (NSA) on him.

After his murder, there have been several attempts by the ‘secular’ brigade to not only further malign the Hindu leader but also to downplay the violent death that was handed to Tiwari by radical Islamists. There have been several insinuations on social media from the usual quarters and they have been vociferously countered.

For example, from the CCTV footage, it is evident that the assailants who murdered Kamlesh Tiwari did so wearing saffron kurtas. This was used by the secular brigade to insinuate that Hindus had killed Tiwari and Islamists had nothing to do with it. They were later proven wrong, of course, when the perpetrators arrested turned out to be Muslims and they admitted that they had murdered Kamlesh Tiwari because of his 2015 remarks against Prophet Muhammad. The secular gang was reminded that even Ajmal Kasab, the perpetrator of the heinous 26/11 terrorist attack wore a Kalawa around his wrist. This is a classic technique adopted by Islamists. They do this so if they are neutralised during their attack, their real identity is not revealed and people assume that the attack was carried out by a Hindu and not a Muslim.

Another onslaught on Kamlesh Tiwari even after he was brutally murdered by Islamists came from the Leftist rag, The Wire.

While the outrage from The Wire was entirely missing, they covered the news of Kamlesh Tiwari being murdered, but, with a twist.

The Wire article on Kamlesh Tiwari murder

In the first paragraph itself, The Wire calls Kamlesh Tiwari as someone who was ‘convicted’ for making ‘allegedly derogatory remarks’ against Prophet Muhammad.

There are multiple things which are wrong with this.

Firstly, Kamlesh Tiwari was never ‘convicted’ in the blasphemy case against him. In 2016, The Allahabad High Court had quashed the NSA charges that had been slapped against him and thereafter, Kamlesh Tiwari was out on bail. Tiwari was arrested in December 2015 as charges under sections 153-A and 295-A were slapped against him. He was granted bail in these charges by a Lucknow court in the second week of January 2016, but had had to remain in jail as UP government had additionally slapped the NSA against him. The NSA was revoked by Allahabad High Court in October 2016, and subsequently, he was released from jail.

The case against Kamlesh Tiwari never proceeded after that. No chargesheet was filed against him, hence there was no trial had started the case. Therefore, The Wire’s assertion that Tiwari had been convicted is patently false.

Second, almost in a Freudian slip, The Wire writes that Kamlesh Tiwari was ‘convicted’ for his ‘alleged derogatory remarks’. If Kamlesh Tiwari had been convicted, the fact that his remarks were ‘derogatory’ would not have remain ‘alleged’ anymore. The fact that The Wire framed the sentence in this manner proves that either they are not very good with legal terminology, or they are simply malicious, the latter explanation being far more believable.

There is a reason why The Wire chooses to lie about this. It is almost as they were trying to lessen the sympathy that the brutal murder of Tiwari would invoke by lying that he had been ‘convicted’.

Along with the Wire, NDTV was not to be left far behind. While Islamists celebrated the brutal murder of Kamlesh Tiwari, NDTV tried to downplay his murder by calling Kamlesh Tiwari a ‘fringe leader’.

One wishes that the Left would understand that while a ‘fringe’ Hindu leader might make uncomfortable comments, ‘fringe’ from the community that must not be named brutally murder the ‘fringe’ Hindu leaders for such comments.

The sixteen-year-old Sweedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg who rose to fame after her dramatic critique of the ramifications of climate change at the United Nations has now blamed ‘Physics’ in her latest rant against the imminent environmental degradation. Thunberg said that the main issue is not party politics and rivalry between political opponents but it is ‘Physics’.

Addressing a crowd outside the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton, Canada, the teen climate activist urged the people to stop seeing this climate crisis from a partisan prism.

She said:

“We cannot allow this crisis to continue to be a partisan, political question. The climate and ecological crisis are far beyond party politics and the main enemy right now should not be any political opponents, because our main enemy is physics. We cannot strike deals with physics.”

Once again training guns at the world politicians, Greta asserted that though prominent politicians, renowned business leaders claim that climate change is under control, the reality is far different from their fictional assertions. Business leaders, elected officials all across the political spectrum conjure up bedtime stories that soothe us, that make us go back to sleep. These are ‘feel-good’ stories about how we are going to fix everything. How wonderful everything is going to be when we have ‘solved’ everything. But the problem we are facing is not that we lack the ability to dream or to imagine a better world, the problem is that we need to wake up now.”

“Let’s face the reality, the facts, the science. Science tells of implicit human sufferings, which will get more serious and serious the longer we defer action – unless we start to act now. And yes, of course, a sustainable transformed world will include lots of new benefits. But you have to understand. This is not essentially a chance to create new green jobs, new businesses or green economic growth. This is above all an emergency and not just an emergency. This is the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced,” Thunberg exclaimed.

PM Modi has cancelled a planned Turkey visit scheduled for later this year. As per reports, the government of India has planned not to go ahead with an upcoming visit to Ankara. The decision is believed to have been taken after Turkey’s anti-India remarks at the UNGA address over Jammu and Kashmir.

As per reports, the visit was planned in June this year when PM Modi had met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Osaka.

Turkey’s anti-India stand over Article 370 abrogation in Jammu and Kashmir, its support to Pakistan over the FATF blacklisting and negative statements against India has seemingly caused a dent in the bilateral relations between the two nations.

Following Erdogan’s remarks, PM Modi had also held meetings with the heads of Cyprus and Armenia at the UNGA. Both are Turkey’s rivals.

India’s assertive and non-submissive stand over its sovereignty and national interests on a global level, that has been practised under the Modi government recently saw India giving it back to Turkey in its own way.

India has openly criticised Turkey’s invasion of Syria, saying that it will create humanitarian and civilian distress in the region. India’s MEA had issued a stern statement condemning Turkey’s military offensive against the Kurds and had urged the Erdogan government to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Earlier, India had also put a 2.3 billion naval deal with Turkey’s Andalou Shipyard on hold. The deal is expected to be scrapped, causing the Turkish company considerable loss of business. The deal was for procuring five 45,000 tonne fleet support ships for the Indian Navy.

A report in The Hindu has stated that India’s foreign ministry has stated that no such visit was finalised. However, Turkey’s Ambassador to India Şakir Özkan has stated to the media outlet that there was a discussion over PM Modi’s visit and they have been waiting for alternative date proposals in the next couple of months.

ED raids 14 locations of DHFL and promoters in money laundering case linked with Dawood’s close aide Iqbal Mirchi

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 19, Saturday, carried out raids at around fourteen places, including Dewan Housing Finance Corp Ltd (DHFL) offices and its promoters’ residences, in a money laundering case against Iqbal Mirchi, who was a close accomplice of underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

ED had on October 15 made a submission in a Mumbai court that property developer Sunblink Real Estate Private Limited was given a loan of Rs 2,186 crore by DHFL on three properties, which are under the scanner in the Iqbal Mirchi case. The agency is now scrutinising the DHFL documents related to the loan.

The ED, during the probe, has found that the company had started giving loans to Sunblink Real Estate Private Limited in the year 2010. The agency is now probing whether this loan was allegedly routed overseas by Sunblink into the accounts of Iqbal Mirchi over a period of nine years.

The DHFL has, however, disputed ED’s claims maintaining that it had no links to the alleged dubious transactions.

The financial probe agency had tightened the screws on the money laundering case linked to the multi-crore real estate deals of Mirchi after it arrested Haroun Yusuf and one Ranjit Singh Bindra who had brokered a deal with Mirchi’s trust and Sunblink Realtors Pvt Ltd. Mirchi’s Mumbai assets alone are speculated to be worth more than Rs 500 crores. Based on the Mumbai Police’s FIR on Yusuf, Mirchi and others, the ED has filed a PMLA case on Yusuf and Bindra.

Delving further, the ED found the case to be linked with several politicians, through numerous firms and private companies. After it zeroed in the properties of Iqbal Memon alias ‘Mirchi’, the ED had also discovered links with a firm that is linked to former UPA-era civil aviation minister Praful Patel and his wife Varsha Patel.

OpIndia had accessed documents which validate NCP leader and former Union Minister Praful Patel’s financial dealings with Dawood Ibrahim and his associates. The documents accessed by us reveal signatures of Praful Patel on documents that linked him to Igbal Memon, a key aide of Dawood Ibrahim.

The ED has named Mirchi as an international drug dealer, smuggler, extortionist and criminal involved in anti-national interest. In 2004, Mirchi was listed as one of the foreign drug kingpins by the US state department. He had an Interpol red corner notice against him. Mirchi had died in the UK on 14 August 2013.

US foils sinister plot of Pakistan to designate Indian nationals as ISIS terrorist, latest being the case of one Ajoy Mistry

Pakistan’s endeavour to implicate India and Indian nationals over terror-related crimes by trying to internationalise this fresh case concerning Ajoy Mistry, an Indian cook, has been thwarted by the US as it refuses to accept the allegations against the Indian national who was arrested by the Pakistani authorities in Kabul. Pakistan wanted to convince the world that the Indian national they arrested was an ISIS terrorist. The US has put Pakistan’s proposal on a technical hold puncturing its hopes.


Pakistan, with the help of its all-weather ally China had moved the UN Security Council under resolution 1267 (the Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee, or the 1267 Sanctions Committee as it is now known), seeking action against Indian national Ajoy Mistry who it describes as an Islamic State terrorist targeting Pakistan. Pakistan wanted a fresh dossier on him under the UNSC resolution claiming that he was responsible for various attacks n Pakistan.

Coming as a major setback, the proposal of Pakistan to add Mistry in the ISIS and al Qaida Sanctions List which had been circulated by the chair of the 1267 Committee to the other members this month, has now been rejected by the US which had earlier blocked another China-sponsored proposal by Pakistan which tried to frame Venumadhav Dongara, an Indian engineer working on transmission lines in Afghanistan, in a similar plot.

On March 11, 2019, Islamabad had filed an FIR against Dongara in Peshawar on charges of supplying weapons, ammunition and explosives to the Tariq Gidar terror group, which allegedly attacked Peshawar airbase on September 18, 2015. Fearing that Dongara could be the next Kulbushan Jadhav, the Indian authorities evacuated the engineer from Afghanistan on September 8.

According to Indian security agencies, Ajoy Mistry holds an Indian passport and worked two years (2016-2018) as a cook in Abu Dhabi. Earlier, between 2008 and 2011, he worked as a cook in US Army camp in Iraq, and on June 2012 went to Kabul and spent two more years as a cook in Afghanistan. After being warned, the Indian officials say, he returned to India and is now in Kolkata.

Pakistan has claimed the Mistry was involved in “facilitating the movement of foreign terrorist fighters from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan and held a number of meetings with ISIS-Khorasan leaders in 2017 and 2018”. It further states that Ajoy Mistry provided finances to ISIL-K leadership in August-September 2018 to carry out suicide attacks at Kalaya Bazaar, Orakzai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan in which 31 persons were killed.

Living under the constant threat of being placed in the blacklist by the international terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF), desperate Pakistan with the help of its all-weather ally China is trying its best to hit back at India by framing Indians for terror.

An Indian official said Pakistan may be looking at trying to list at least three or four more Indian nationals. Since many Pakistani citizens have been designated as global terrorists including Dawood Ibrahim, Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar, Pakistan wants to achieve some sort of parity with India by getting an Indian national designated as one with the help of their all-weather ally China, he added.

DGP of Uttar Pradesh, OP Singh, made a statement today during a press briefing that could only ever be described as troubling and deeply problematic. He claimed that prima facie, the murderers of Kamlesh Tiwari appeared to have been ‘radicalized by the comment he made’ on Prophet Muhammad in 2015.


The comment made by Singh is a classical example of victim-blaming. He might not have intended for it to come out as it did but the impression his remarks conveyed was that Kamlesh Tiwari is somehow to be blamed for his own death. This is when all of us now know what killed him. It certainly betrays the fact that even law enforcement authorities are not willing to say in public how Radical Islamic Terrorism actually works and thrives.

Kamlesh Tiwari’s death was motivated by factors that go way beyond his opinion of the prophet’s sexuality. The riots that occurred in the aftermath of his comment and the various places where Muslims went on a rampage demanding his death provide some insight into the real reason behind his death. Kamlesh Tiwari was murdered because he dared to break the omerta that Muslims consider inviolable. A significant section of them is willing to use violence to enforce it and a whole lot more will tacitly support such violence even if they won’t participate in it themselves.

The essential element that resulted in Kamlesh Tiwari’s murder is not only the bigotry of the perpetrators themselves and their violent dogma. Many people wouldn’t want us to say it due to political correctness, just like they would not want us to talk about the rampant radicalisation and the violent dogma, but this needs to be said. Kamlesh Tiwari was murdered also because the murderers were perfectly aware of the fact that they are going to be hailed as heroes by a significant section of the Muslim community and vast sections of the community believe that murder for insulting the prophet is justified.

Kamlesh Tiwari was not murdered only because his comment insulted the prophet but also because the ones slitting his throat and firing the bullet knew that killing him was their one shot to glory. His death was not merely the consequence of the murderers’ personal belief that he ought to be murdered and their complete conviction that they will be hailed in Jannat for it but also the fact that their actions had complete approval of their community at large.

The celebration on social media that was observed after Kamlesh Tiwari’s murder is a testament to that effect. We need to understand that Radical Islamic Terrorism is not limited to organizations like Al Qaeda or ISIS or Indian Mujahideen, there is a far greater structure underneath that serves as the foundation for these organizations. And it is this very foundation that produced the murderers of Kamlesh Tiwari. If we are to defeat the threat of Radical Islamic Terrorism, then we must destroy the foundation which ensures that these terrorist organizations never run out of men in their ranks. Unless this supply network is cut off, things will not get better.

The foundation of Radical Islamic Terrorism is the power structure of the Islamic community. If the Indian state does not take active measures to dismantle the power structures within the Muslim community, then our country will be condemned to perpetual anarchy. The iron hand of the state must be used to force the entirety of the Muslim community to reform themselves out of the concept of Jihad. The cost of this will be huge but one that we, as a country, must be willing to pay if we wish for the continued existence of the Indian Union without further disintegration.

The manner in which Article 370 has been forced down the throat of the residents of Jammu & Kashmir is how the Indian State must force massive reform on the Muslim community. They must be provided incentives to adopt these reforms but we should not suffer under the delusion that mere incentive will be enough for them to embrace them. There’s a reason the carrot and stick policy tends to be successful but the carrot and carrot policy does not.

Unfortunately enough, Singh’s statement reflects a mindset that’s all too prevalent among vast sections of the law enforcement authorities. This mindset operates under the impression that radicalization occurs due to the actions of people outside the Islamic community. However, the reality of it is that the roots of Jihad lie entirely within the Muslim community. Non-Muslims did not teach the Muslims demanding Kamlesh Tiwari’s death that murdering someone over a comment is justified, they were taught that by the Maulvis and Maulanas and their family members and fellow members of the community. And we need to recognize this fact.

In a bizarre diktat, the Rajasthan education minister Govind Singh Dotasara has said that the government will remove male teachers below the age of 50 from all the girls’ schools in the state. This move was aimed at curbing incidents of harassment and eve-teasing, said the minister while speaking to reporters in Mandawa in Jhunjhunu district, which is bound to go to the bypolls.

According to a report, the minister said that the preference will be given to female teachers to teach girl students in all-girls schools. He added that the male teachers below 50 will be utilised only when the need arises.

This outlandish decision has stoked controversy with experts who have called this move ‘regressive and immature’.

The former UNICEF policy planner, KB Kothari said that the minister had misdiagnosed the problem and that even the treatment he offered was not proper. The move of removing male teachers below the age of 50 was not a difficult task but would spark fear among parents and students.

While, Rashmi Jain, head of sociology department at Rajasthan University was quoted as saying that the move was aimed to create schools which were run by only women.

This peculiar move has also received flak on microblogging site Twitter, where the users accused the minister of insulting teachers.

After severe criticisms, the minister has taken a U-turn saying that the Rajasthan government is only concerned about the female student’s safety and do not intend to sack male teachers below the age of 50 from the girl’s school in the state, as previously announced by him.


As per the Rajasthan government’s education report for 2018-2019, the state has just 1,019 girls schools while the rest 68,910 are co-ed. The ratio of male and female teachers is almost 2:1 in a pool of 3.82 lakh teachers. It means female teachers are present in almost all the 69,929 schools, contradicting the minister’s assertion that girl students are safe only in all-female schools.

Slain Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari’s anguished mother has today has demanded justice from the Yogi Adityanath government.

She said that Kamlesh Tiwari got several fatwas and threats when Akhilesh Yadav’s government was in power, but he was not touched. Today, when Yogi Adityanath is in power, he has been killed. She said no matter what, Yogi Adityanath will have to get justice. She said the saga of threats has been going on since the time of Azam Khan, but he was killed in the Yogi era. In her anguished cries of losing her son, Kamlesh Tiwari’s mother demanded justice from the Yogi government.

On the other hand, Satyam Tiwari, son of deceased Kamlesh Tiwari demanded an NIA probe in the case. Satyam said, “Investigation agencies should match the videography of those caught with the perpetrators”. He also said that he welcomes the NIA probe and it is good that everything is being done since he has no faith in the UP administration.


The Yogi government is looking into the murder of Kamlesh Tiwari from all angles. It was earlier reported that The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to launch an NIA and SIT inquiry into the murder of Kamlesh Tewari.

“The demands of relatives have been take into consideration. They’ll be provided security. Their meeting with the CM is being fixed. We’re recommending a government residence for them,” Lucknow divisional commissioner Mukesh Meshram told mediapersons after meeting Kamlesh Tewari’s family in Sitapur.

Gujarat ATS had today arrested 3 accused- Shamim, Faizan and Mohsin Sheikh from Surat in connection with Tiwari’s murder. According to the sources, they have confessed to the killing of Tiwari citing his remarks on Prophet Muhammad in 2015 as the motive behind the murder.

The Chief Minister started off the Magnetic Maharashtra programme to attract new capital and industry. It was broadly based on the vision of utilising the skilled workforce that the state offered and coupled with the incentives for new investment. The idea was to develop MSME and industrial clusters and tap the unutilised potential in areas like Amravati, Akola, Chandrapur and Solapur and Sangli. The Pune, Mumbai Kolhapur belt is fairly developed with state-of-the-art industry and enterprises.

The state was lagging behind due to the policy paralysis offered by the earlier government. To set things right, the Devendra Fadnavis led government introduced new policies like state tax abatement, stamp duty exemption, skill development and single window clearance. Special incentives were offered for mega and ultra mega investments. Result? Thousands of MOU’s with investment commitments running into lacs of crores were signed up. Usually, many of these MOU’s never materialise into actual investments due to various factors, however, Maharashtra has a different story to offer. It converted 63% of the MOU’s Into actual investments.

Effect of the above

  1. GSDP of the state at current prices grew at a CAGR (in Rs) of around 11.77 per cent from 2011-12 to 2017-18.
  2. At current prices, GSDP of Maharashtra was Rs 24.97 trillion (US$ 387.36 billion) in 2017-18. This was at Rs. 16.50 Trillion (US$ 272.68 Billion) when Devendra Fadnavis took over.
  3. Maharashtra state’s per capita GSDP at the current price was Rs 205,537 (US$ 3,189.09) in 2017-18. This was Rs. 142381 ( US$ 2353.40) in 2013-14.
  4. The per capita GSDP of Maharashtra grew at a CAGR of 10.46 per cent between 2011-12 and 2017-18.
  5. At current prices, NSDP of Maharashtra was Rs 21.94 trillion (US$ 340.41 billion) in 2017-18. This number stood at Rs. 14.49 Trillion (US$ 239.47 Billion)
  6. Maharashtra’s NSDP grew at a CAGR of around 11.75 per cent from 2011-12 to 2017-18.
  7. At current price, the state’s per capita NSDP was Rs 180,596 (US$ 2,802.11) in 2017-18.
  8. The per capita NSDP of Maharashtra grew at a CAGR of 10.43 per cent between 2011-12 and 2016-17
  9. Over 2017-18, the tertiary sector contributed 54.50% to the state’s GSDP at current prices and this number was 51.07% in 2011.
  10. In 2017-18 the secondary sector contributed 33.60% to the state’s GSDP at current prices and this number stood at 30.88% in 2011.
  11. The tertiary sector grew at a CAGR of 15.12% between 2011- 12 and 2017-18. Growth was driven by trade, hotels, real estate, finance, insurance, transport, communications and other services.
  12. The secondary sector grew at a CAGR of 15.50% between 2011-12 and 2017-18. The growth in the secondary sector was driven by growth in manufacturing, construction and electricity, gas & water supply industries.
  13. The primary sector expanded at a CAGR of 6.25 per cent between 2011-12 and 2017-18. Agriculture is the major contributor in the growth of the primary sector followed by forestry and fishing

The state increased its installed power capacity from 34,000 MW in 2013-14 to 44,000 MW in 2019-20. The state has 2 big ports which have handled 131.29 Million Tonnes and there are 48 minor ports which have handled 20.12 Million Tonnes in 2018-19. These are some staggering numbers if examined critically and that the state effectively uses the 700 kms of Coastline very effectively is a testament to the government’s efforts to build physical infrastructure.

Apart from the above, the state saw massive investment in industrial infrastructure as well. There are 29 export SEZ. In just 2017 the state government proposed 12 Bio-Technology SEZ with an investment of 4733 crores.

A Trillion Dollar Economy

When the National GDP was showing signs of slowdown the Maharashtra state GSDP was growing at a healthy rate. With such massive investment in infrastructure, education, telecommunication, healthcare, power and heavy industry coupled with land reforms and ease of doing business initiatives, the state is set to be the first trillion-dollar state in the country 5 years before its scheduled time as per the current growth rate, which again was propelled by the Devendra Fadnavis government. A sincere and independent opinion regarding the performance of the state government on the economy front is that they have done massively well and its hoped that the same momentum is carried forward.
