Street Dog Menace: 5 dogs attacked a 12-year-old girl, rescued by delivery boy in Ghaziabad, 6 students bitten by a mad dog in Sonbhadra

0

An innocent 12-year-old girl was brutally attacked by several dogs in Ghaziabad’s residential society. Around 5 dogs encircled the kid and when she tried to run for cover, the canines pounced on her and started attacking and biting her. Meanwhile, a delivery boy who was passing from there rushed to her rescue. He saved her life from the peck of dogs and ended the terrifying experience.

The CCTV footage of the street dogs’ attack has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place at the Officer City-1 Colony in Rajnagar Extension, Ghaziabad.

In the viral CCTV footage, the child can be seen walking inside a society. She is clearly terrified by the dogs that start to encircle her. Soon, she is surrounded by around 5 dogs, and panicked by this sudden attack, she momentarily stops there and cried for help. Subsequently, she tries to escape from the dogs and ran to find a cover. But the canines started chasing and pouncing on her. The dogs started attacking and biting her.

Meanwhile, a delivery boy who was passing from there came to her rescue. He chased the dogs away and saved the life of the innocent child.

These increasing number of dog attacks have been ringing the alarm bells, especially in residential societies. Following the Ghaziabad City-1 incident, the residents expressed concerns for the safety of their children. They have been raising questions about the entry of street animals and the animal lovers who have been pressuring the security guards to allow animals inside the society.

However, Surbhi Rawat, president of Peoples for Animals (PFA) Ghaziabad, alleged that the residents of the society are the ones who have to be blamed for these rampant attacks. She claimed that the residents of the society have been trampling dogs and their puppies beneath their vehicles. She claimed that these ‘merciless’ killings have made these animals violent which leads to such attacks.

She argued that when we as humans are carrying out the shameful acts of killing dogs and puppies, how can we expect anything different from animals?

Sonbhadra: A mad dog bit 6 students

On the 4th of August, a similar incident of dog menace was recorded in Sonbhadra. A mad dog bit 6 students on their hands when they had stepped outside the school gate to have lunch. The injured students include 5 girls and 1 boy. The incident took place near Bhartiya Inter College located in Ghoraval Nagar.

College teachers stated that all the students had gone outside the gate to have lunch when they were attacked by a dog.

Following the incident, an anti-rabies injection and medicines were given to all the students. The team of doctors also declared that the students are out of danger.

Gyanvapi survey: 4 feet tall fragmented idol, Trishul and other Hindu symbols reportedly found in the basement

0

Following the court orders, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is gathering scientific evidence at the Gyanvapi site for the second day on the 5th of August. After repeated setbacks from the courts, the Muslim side joined the ASI Survey on Saturday, the 5th of August. Initially, they refused to open the basement under their control and give its keys but later they relented.

According to the information, the focus of the ASI survey has been on the central doom but now it has also entered the basement of Gyanvapi. One of them is said to be under the possession of the Vyas family and the keys to one basement are under the control of the Anjuman committee.

During the survey, the ASI teams found many symbols related to the temple architecture, as claimed by the Hindu side. Sita Sahu, the petitioner of the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi case, has made a riveting claim after the first shift of the survey work was completed at 12:30 PM to allow Muslims to offer prayers at the site.

According to Sahu, fragmented idols have been found in the basement. A four-foot idol, half of which resembles that of a human while the other half of the idol was reportedly found to resemble that of an animal, has been found. The Hindu site has claimed that the purported idol is of Narasimha Avatar. The antiquities reportedly found during the survey include a two-feet long trident, images of symbols related to Hindu temples, and 5 Kalash (urns).

These idols found inside the basement are being surveyed to determine their age, composition, and whether they are part of some pre-existed Hindu temple.

Sita Sahu added that the remains of the broken pillars of the temple were also found in the basement. She stated that the videography of the basement has been done.

Speaking to ABP News, Sahu said that the survey teams have recovered more symbols related to temple architecture than they have imagined. The ABP News reported that the ASI team asked for the basement keys from the Anjuman Intazamia Committee. Afterward, its caretaker Ejaz Ahmed opened the basement today. Subsequently, when the survey team entered the basement, they reportedly found these artifacts including a 2 feet Trishul (trident), 5 Kalash, and 4 feet long fragmented idol.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Advocate Sudhir Tripathi who is representing the Hindu site also made the same claim. He stated that they are hopeful that idols will be recovered in the ongoing survey as they have found remains of fragmented idols in the debris lying on the Gyanvapi premises.

According to Anupam Dwivedi, another lawyer representing the Hindu side, the ASI conducted a survey in the southern basement of Gyanvapi. Using a GNSS machine, they created a 3D image of the basement. Prior to this, the survey team had already examined the main hall of Gyanvapi, where they discovered symbols of lotus flowers, leaves, and idols on the pillars and walls. The entire hall was then meticulously mapped during the survey process.

The survey was stopped at 12:30 pm so that the Muslim side can offer Namaz and it resumed at 2:30 pm. In this scientific endevaour, the ASI will also conduct a detailed survey inside the auditorium and investigation other basements.

Haryana: Building from where stones were pelted demolished as bulldozer action continues for third day in Nuh

0

Days after violence erupted in the Nuh district of Haryana, the BJP-led Haryana government initiated “bulldozer action” against the rioters. As reported earlier, over 250 houses of illegal immigrants were razed down on Friday including those belonging to rioters involved in Nuh violence.

During the demolition drive, the state administration also demolished the three-story house which was used by the Islamist mob for stone pelting on Hindus. The video of several people pelting stones from the now-demolished house had gone viral on social media.

Earlier today, structures and shanties near Nuh’s SKM Government Medical College were razed. The demolition drive was carried out by the Haryana Urban Development Authority. Earlier today, the authorities razed illegal encroachments in front of the hospital on the road to Nalhar Temple. To avoid any unforeseen outcomes, the demolition effort was conducted in the midst of a significant police presence.

Around 45 unlawfully built shops on Nalhar Road were demolished by the authorities. “More than 45 commercial shops built illegally on Nalhar road are being demolished,” stated the District Town Planner.

Nuh Shobha Yatra attack

On Monday, violence broke out in Haryana’s Nuh district during the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra,’ which was organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. The death toll from the clashes has now reached 6, including two personnel from the Haryana home guard. The deputy commissioner urged people to stay indoors, venture outside only for essential tasks, and disregard any circulating rumours.

Vehicles were burnt and stones pelted at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Jalabhishek Yatra as Islamists unleashed violence against thousands of Hindus in the Muslim-dominated region of Nuh, Mewat in Haryana.

Rajdeep Sardesai rants against middle class and scientists, says they are communal, and the Left became weak because of them

India Today journalist Rajdeep Sardesai today ranted against the Indian middle class and scientific community, labelling them the most communal sections of the society.

Sardesai spewed venom against the middle-class society in the 200th episode of The Lallantop’s show “Neta Nagari Mahotsav”. A student in the audience of the show asked about what could be a solution for curbing the transition from being religious to becoming communal. While anchor Saurabh Dwivedi opined that “rationality” can be the solution, Rajdeep Sardesai intervened to speak a ‘bitter truth’.

While spelling out his “bitter truth”, Rajdeep launched an attack against the middle class, blaming them for the weakening of the political left as they have become highly communal and selfish in the past 30 years.

“The truth is that in the middle class of our country, in the past 30 years, someone was asking about the political left, and why it got weakened, it is because the middle class only takes its self-interest into consideration while moving ahead. This middle class has become the most communal in this country. The poor are never communal in this country. The poor Hindu-Muslim need each other more,” Rajdeep harangued.

Sardesai further asserted that it is when the poor gain financial stability and become middle class that start turning their religious identity into the communal one. The ‘journalist’ also claimed that a section of scientists are the most communal minds in the country.

“The communalism is highest among those who make such statements made on social media. They are the school-college-attending middle class. Some of the most communal minds in this country are the scientists,” Sardesai said.

How Rajdeep Sardesai’s comments don’t hold water

Calling the whole middle class ‘selfish’ and ‘communal’ feeds the liberal narrative that Hindus have grown communally charged after the Ram Mandir movement. The truth is that the Hindu middle class, which has traditionally been peaceful and contributed to the country’s prosperity, has begun to reject the continual attack on their religious identity and beliefs.

A VHP religious procession was recently attacked by an Islamist mob in Haryana’s Nuh. Nuh is known for being a Muslim-dominated territory in Haryana, as well as one of the poorest districts in the state. According to Niti Ayog data, 40% of the Nuh population is multidimensionally poor. Notably, three broad factors influence multidimensional poverty: health, education, and living standards. These three categories include nutrition, child and adolescent mortality, years of schooling, sanitation, housing, assets, and so on.

While Rajdeep Sardesai asserts that the “Gareeb (poor) is never communal,” a frenzied Islamist mob attacked Hindus. A Hindu youth Abhishek Chauhan was shot dead, his throat slit and face crushed with stone by the mob. The mob which killed Abhishek and attacked several others did not comprise of some rich youths, the mob comprised local people. Communalism is not fueled by a person’s or community’s financial standing rather it is fueled by the hatred that a community fosters for the people of other religious communities.

Rajdeep Sardesai’s disdain for the middle class is understandable since a stable and value-driven middle class does not blindly follow and propagate the ‘revolutionary’ ideals of the liberal ideology. The hardworking, tax-paying and patriotic middle class whom Rajdeep calls as selfish has the most to lose and has suffered the most over the years. While the woke and liberals see traditions and values as a hurdle in becoming what they think is ‘progressive’, the middle class prefers to find meaning in its traditions, culture and family values. The aspiration to live a peaceful life is often misjudged as selfishness.

Rajdeep Sardesai is not the first and certainly not the only one to hate middle-class Indians. In 2020, liberal propagandist Rohini Singh had exhibited her hatred of the middle class calling them “immoral” as they did not essentially extend support to the farmer’s protest and the anti-CAA protests.

Interestingly, if the Bhartiya Janata party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) manages to return to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the middle class, essentially the Hindu middle class, will likely continue to draw the ire of left-liberals.

Haryana: Bulldozer action against rioters continues in Nuh on the third day, 15 more structures demolished

0

On Saturday, 5th August 2023, the demolition drive in the violence-hit Nuh district of Haryana entered its third day, with authorities using bulldozers to dismantle illegal constructions spread across 2.6 acres of land surrounding Nalhar Medical College in the state. According to the police, approximately 15 additional temporary structures were also demolished during the drive.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Ashwani Kumar said, “These were illegal constructions. Notices were already given to owners of the demolished structures. The owners of some illegal structures were also involved in the violence during the Braj Mandal religious yatra. The demolition drive will continue.”

As per a police official, the demolition drive commenced from Adbar Chowk and is slated to extend all the way to Tiranga Chowk. District Magistrate Dhirender Khadgata of Nuh announced a relaxation in the curfew, permitting people to venture out and purchase essential goods between noon and 3 pm.

On Monday, 31st July 2023, tensions gripped several parts of Haryana when stones were pelted at the Jalabhishek Shobha yatra in the Muslim-majority region of Mewat. The procession was taken out to mark the auspicious occasion of Shravan Somwar.

Days after Islamists unleashed violence in the Nuh district of Haryana, the BJP-led State government cracked down on the illegal encroachments of over 200 rioters on Thursday, 3rd August 2023.

While adopting Yogi Adityanath’s signature bulldozer system, the local administration in Tauru in Nuh bulldozed 250 houses of illegal immigrants. Reportedly, many of them were part of the recent rioting in the Mewat region.

The encroachments had cropped up on Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) land in the past 4 years and were mostly inhabited by illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

Afghanistan: Taliban now bans girl students from attending school beyond third grade

As part of the Taliban’s most recent diktat suppressing the rights of Afghan women, the Islamic regime has banned girls over 10 years of age from attending primary school classes in some provinces of Afghanistan. This means that girl students cannot study beyond the third standard. The ban has been imposed in the Ghazni province in Afghanistan. Before this, girls were banned to study in schools beyond the sixth grade.

According to a report published by BBC Persian on Saturday, the Ministry of Education’s officials have asked the principals of schools and short-term training classes to ensure that “girls over 10 years old are not allowed to study in primary schools”.

The report further stated that in a few regions in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Good and Prohibition’s local authorities are separating girls based on their ages and ordering the principals of the girls’ schools, which had been in operation, to send back the students who are above the third grade.

“We were told that girls who are tall and over 10 years old are not allowed to enter the school,” said a sixth-grade student in eastern Afghanistan, while speaking to the BBC.

The latest onslaught comes after video games, foreign movies and music were outlawed in Afghanistan under the Taliban government because they are considered to be anti-Islamic. This ban is first imposed in the western city of Herat in Afghanistan. More than 400 firms in Herat had to shut down as a result of the sudden ban enforced by the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

The ban came after restrictions on other pastimes and types of entertainment that go against the Taliban’s radical Islamic Sharia law. The Taliban, earlier this month, prohibited women and families from accessing the garden restaurants in Herat.

In July of this year, the Taliban’s morality ministry ordered that all women-run establishments such as hair and beauty salons be closed down within a month of receiving initial information, which was delivered to them on July 2nd.

Under Taliban leadership, teenage girls and women were forbidden from entering classrooms, gyms, and parks. The women in Afghanistan have also been barred from working for the United Nations and several international non-governmental organisations after the Taliban’s order on 24th December 2022. The Taliban banned women from working in NGOs alleging that they are not wearing the Islamic headscarf correctly.

The Taliban closed hookah facilities across the nation in October 2022. Smoking hookah is an everyday pastime for Afghan men. The Taliban closed down eateries owned and run by women in the city of Herat earlier in May 2022 and forbade men and women from dining together there. The Islamist group has forcefully imposed severe constraints on how Afghans can behave and how men and women can interact with each other.

3 Hindus were shot during protest in Sohna against Nuh violence, a mob led by Hakam and Akram shouting ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ attacked protestors

Hindus were attacked from all sides by radical Muslims in Nuh on July 31, 2023, during the Brijmandal Jalabhishek Yatra. From the road to the hospital and even at the Shiva temple, bullets were fired at the people who had gathered there. The names of AAP and Congress leaders like Javed Ahmed, Mamman Khan and Aftab are appearing as the ones allegedly responsible for instigating people for these attacks.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that when some people of the Hindu community were protesting on the same day in the evening against the Nuh violence in Sohna, adjacent to Gurugram, they were fired upon. Three Hindu youths have been shot in the firing, and are being treated. Those who were shot for protesting against the Nuh violence are Virender Gujjar, Munesh Gujjar and one of their accomplices. The names of those who opened fire are Hakam, Wasim, Akram, Yasin and their accomplices.

The caretakers of victims who are in the hospital said that when the Hindus in Sohna, around 40 km from Nuh, learnt about the attack on the Hindus participating in the Yatra, they started a protest at the Ambedkar Chowk to pressurise the administration to take action. They were demanding that more police force should be sent to top the Muslim mob in Nuh. But instead, they were attacked by a Muslim mobin their area.

It is notable that in the Ambedkar Chowk area in Sohna, while Hindus live on one side, Muslims dominate the other side. Sometime after the protests started, stone pelting started from the houses of Muslims in the area. After some time shots were fired, and three Hindus were stuck by bullets on their legs, injuring them. A video of this incident had already become viral on social media. The injured persons are still in hospital for treatment.

The neighbour of the victims told OpIndia, “Some traders and elderly people from our Sohna town were protesting. During this time, stones were thrown from the roofs, bullets were also fired. After this, there was a stampede. All this has been done by Javed Ahmed, Mamman Khan and Aftab.”

The neighbour, while naming the local goon Hakam, said, “The first stone came from Hakam’s house. Hakam, Wasim, Akram etc. along with 20-25 others were throwing stones and shouting Allah-hu-Akbar. Hakim indulges in local politics and bullying. Cases are already going on on this goon.”

The neighbour of the victims said, “The place where we were protesting is the border area. From there, on one side is the Muslim-majority area of Mewat and on the other side there are Hindus. This is the ambedkar chowk area of Sohna. It was here that bullets were fired from Hakam’s house. The bullets hit the legs of our youths.”

The victims have been admitted to Artemis Hospital and are being treated there, a neighbour said. Doctors said the boys were out of danger. Talking about the financial condition of the victims, the neighbour said that their families are very poor and their father works as a farm labourer.

The victims claimed that after all the violence on 31 July, the police picked up Hindu boys only. The police did not take action against any of the accused, they said. The victims, however, said that the Hindu boys were let off by the police after questioning.

The families of the victims told OpIndia that they want help from the government in the treatment of the injured.

The Hindus in the area also told OpIndia that several AAP members were in the mob that attacked that. It is notable that AAP leader Javed Ahmed, named as prime accused in the murder of Pradeep Kumar during Nuh violence, also lives in the area.

Only State that currently has woman CM: Rajdeep Sardesai evades discussion on atrocities against women in West Bengal panchayat polls

On Friday (August 5), veteran ‘journalist’ Rajdeep Sardesai courted controversy for trying to evade questions on the recent spate of violence during the West Bengal panchayat election.

While speaking on the occasion of ‘200 episodes of Netanagri’, he highlighted the atrocities committed against women in Mumbai in 1992-1993 and in Muzaffarnagar in 2013. “Whenever riots happen, we always hear stories of rape and gang rape. What is the reason,” the ‘journalist’ inquired.

At that point, a co-panelist named Rahul Shrivastav intervened and asked, “Why did you not mention Bengal? You mentioned UP explicitly. (Crimes against women) happened in Bengal just now.”

Rajdeep Sardesai was caught off guard and he desperately tried to change the context to save his face. “No, no, no…I spoke about Uttar Pradesh in the context of the participation of women,” he claimed.

After realising that he would be forced to condemn the violence in West Bengal, he came up with the troupe of ‘woman Chief Minister.’ Sardesai remarked, “Bengal, by the way, is the only State with a woman Chief Minister.”

In that way, the ‘veteran’ journalist was able to deviate the discussion from the violence perpetrated on women in West Bengal to political appointment of Chief Minister.

“UP made Mayawati Chief Minister before Bengal made Mamata Banerjee the CM,” Rahul Shrivastav pointed out. “Ah, okay… Even my home State of Maharashtra hasn’t appointed any female CM,” Sardesai said.

It is interesting to note that the original discussion was about crimes against women during political and communal violence. Rajdeep Sardesai shrewdly deviated the discourse at the time when he was asked to speak on atrocities committed against women during West Bengal panchayat polls. This is however not the first time that the veteran ‘journalist’ resorted to such theatrics.

Panchayat election was a fight for stature, Mamata Banerjee had to show that she was No.1: Rajdeep Sardesai

In July this year, Rajdeep Sardesai attempted to contextualise the violence that took place during the West Bengal Panchayat election and give Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a clean chit.

On being asked by journalist Saurabh Dwivedi of Lallantop about the incumbent TMC government’s failure to contain the violence, Sardesai dodged the question altogether and narrated the history of political violence in West Bengal.

Unlike other times, Dwivedi pressed the veteran ‘journalist’ to answer his specific question about the current situation in the State. “Please speak on the failure of the Chief Minister, the State Election Commission, the improper deployment of central forces and the inability to hold free and fair elections,” he reiterated.

Rajdeep Sardesai tried to evade the question by raking up ‘chronology’, and ‘political culture of Bengal.’ He then resorted to tokenism and claimed that he condemns violence in all forms. “I am not trying to normalise violence,” he made a desperate appeal.

The India Today ‘journalist’ suggested that while the State government is responsible for maintaining the law and order situation, nothing much can be expected due to the development of a politically surcharged environment.

Saurabh Dwivedi intervened and informed Sardesai that it is the job of the journalists to hold State governments accountable when they fail to discharge their duties.

Rajdeep Sardesai then tried to blame the BJP by claiming that violence was at its peak in the constituency of Nisith Pramanik, BJP leader and the Minister of State for Home Affairs. He suggested that despite the deployment of Central forces, the situation in Pramanik’s constituency could not be controlled.

At that point, Saurabh Dwivedi intervened again and told Rajdeep Sardesai that the central forces were not notified about sensitive areas. “The intent should be there since you (TMC) are running the government,” he emphasised.

A defensive Rajdeep Sardesai then claimed, “This is why I told you about chronology at the start. The Panchayat election was a fight for relevance and maintenance of political stature.”

While implying that violence was a political necessity, he said, “Mamata Banerjee had to do something to show her opponents that she is leader No.1 in West Bengal.”

Tamil Nadu: Part of Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple wall collapses in Srirangam; no injuries reported

0

A section of Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple’s east entry tower collapsed in the early hours of 5 August in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. There were no people at the temple when the tragedy happened. The accident, therefore, didn’t result in any injuries. However, it has left an impression of shock among the devotees.

The incident transpired at around 2 a.m. as repairs were carried out on the first and second-level compound walls of the temple entrance. When an area of the first-level wall collapsed at the temple, maintenance was underway to mend the cracks in the first and second-level compound walls.

Members of the temple committee informed that a part of the stone facade at one of the temple’s towers gave way and plummeted to the ground.

Following the episode, crews from the police and other agencies flocked to the area to clear the debris. The occurrence, nevertheless, sparked anxiety among the followers. It has upset the populace even more because Saturday is believed to be an auspicious day for Lord Ranganathar.

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha (a form of Vishnu) on an island between the Kollidam and Kaveri rivers in Tamil Nadu. It is constructed in the Dravidian architectural style, the temple is glorified by Alvars in their Naalayira Divya Prabhandam and has the unique distinction of being the foremost among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to the god Vishnu.

It is the most illustrious Vaishnava temple in South India, rich in both legend and history. The temple has played a significant role in Vaishnavism history, starting with the 11th-century career of Ramanuja and his predecessors Nathamuni and Yamunacharya in Srirangam.

It was looted and destroyed by the Delhi Sultanate armies in a broad plunder raid on various cities of the Pandyan kingdom in the early 14th century. It was rebuilt in the late 14th century, and the site was fortified and expanded with many more gopurams in the 16th and 17th centuries.

It was one of the hubs of the early Bhakti movement with a devotional singing and dance tradition, but this tradition stopped during the 14th century and was revived in a limited way much later.

The religious place occupies an area of 155 acres (63 ha) with 81 shrines, 21 towers, 39 pavilions, and many water tanks integrated into the complex making it the world’s largest functioning Hindu temple. The temple town is a significant archaeological and epigraphical site, providing a historic window into the early and mid-medieval South Indian society and culture.

Numerous inscriptions suggest that the Hindu temple served not only as a spiritual centre, but also as a major economic and charitable institution that operated education and hospital facilities, ran a free kitchen, and financed regional infrastructure projects from the gifts and donations it received.

Haryana police deny report by YouTube channel which claimed that torn clothes of women were strewn in hills surrounding Nalhar Temple

Reports by two YouTube channels claimed that a cache of women’s torn clothes has been recovered from the hills surrounding the Nalhar Shiva Temple in Nuh, and several women from nearby households have gone missing, during the Islamist violence in Nuh against Hindu devotees. The Haryana police have, however, denied these reports.

The report by ‘Leading Bharat TV’ claimed that the hills in the vicinity of the Nalhar Shiva Temple, the place that witnessed an attack by Islamists against Hindu devotees, many of whom narrowly escaped death in the face of fierce and unrelenting onslaught, had women’s torn clothes strewn around its region.

Many of the locals interviewed in the report said that several women from nearby households have gone missing since violence convulsed Nuh on July 31 and later split into other parts of Haryana, including Gurugram.

Another report by Hindustan 9 UP also showed locals asserting that several women have gone missing in the wake of brutality that broke out in Nuh and subjected to rapes and violence.

Haryana police denies report, ADGP Mamata says no such incident took place

Soon after the report surfaced, Jagran News posted a video statement of ADGP Mamata, who was present at the Nalhar Temple during the Islamist violence against Hindu devotees denies these reports.

According to the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Haryana Mamata Singh no such incident took place during the clashes as she herself was present there on the spot.

“A narrative is going on social media since yesterday that the day the devotees were stuck at Nalhar Mandir, gruesome crimes like rape occurred with a few women devotees there during this. I would like to tell you that this is false, a complete rumour,” Mamata Singh told the reporters.

She further said that strict action will be taken against such rumour-mongers. “I am saying this officially as I was present there during the entire incident. Nothing like that happened with any woman. We have already cleared that what actually happened there…Strict action will be taken against such rumour-mongers,” the ADGP said.

She also said that as many as 216 people have been arrested in connection with the violence-related incidents in the state.
“216 persons have been arrested in the state and out of these numbers, 83 are preventive arrests,” she added.

Mewat Shobha Yatra attack

On Monday (July 31), violence broke out in Haryana’s Nuh district during the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra,’ which was organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. The death toll from the clashes has now reached 5, including two personnel from the Haryana home guard. The deputy commissioner urged people to stay indoors, venture outside only for essential tasks, and disregard any circulating rumours.

Vehicles were burnt and stones pelted at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Jalabhishek Yatra as clashes erupted between two communities in the Muslim-majority region of Mewat in Haryana.

“Religious Brajmandal Yatra” organized annually by Bajrang Dal, Islamic Jihadis pelted heavy stones, violence, arson and direct bullets from the hills on the pilgrims on the ancient “Religious Yatra” of Nallahad Shiv Temple, the centre of faith and reverence of Hindus in Nuh, Mewat. In which hundreds of vehicles were damaged and burnt to ashes,” said a statement shared by Bajrang Dal on Twitter.

Chilling testimonies of the victims have brought forth the extent of barbarity Hindus in Nuh had faced at the hands of their Islamist assailants. Abhishek Rajput, a Hindu devotee, was first shot at, then his throat was slit and his head crushed with a stone. Similarly, 4 other non-Muslims were hacked to death by Islamist mobs.

Note: This report was based on the claims made in a ground report by a YouTube channel. It has been updated with the statement of Haryana police – ADGP Mamata Singh, who has denied the claims made by the report.
