Here is why Home Ministry sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi and it is not ‘political vendetta’

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi over the matter of his citizenship after a complaint was filed with the ministry by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy. A response has been sought within 15 days.

“It has been further brought out in the complaint that in the Company’s Annual Returns filed on October 10, 2005, and October 31, 2006, your date of birth has been given as June 19, 1970, and that you had declared your nationality as British. Further, in the Dissolution application dated 17/02/2009 of the above-referred company, your nationality has been mentioned as British,” the notice said.

The Congress party and the opposition claim that it is merely an attempt to distract people from the issues that plague the country. Rahul Gandhi’s sister, Priyanka, appeared particularly vicious. “The whole of India knows that Rahul Gandhi is an Indian. People have seen him being born and grow up in India. Kya bakwaas hai yeh?” she told reporters.

Randeep Surjewaala, the spokesperson of the Congress party, echoes similar sentiments. “The entire world knows Rahul Gandhi is Indian citizen by birth. Modi ji has no answer for unemployment, Modi ji has no answer for agrarian distress&black money, that’s why he’s resorting to fake narrative through his govt’s notices to divert attention,” he said.

There appears to a certain unity among the opposition parties in the matter. D Raja of the CPI, which is contesting against the CongressRJD alliance in Bihar, said, “Rahul Gandhi has been issued a voter ID. Then why is there confusion over his citizenship? The timing of issuing this notice to the Congress president is questionable.”

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, however, dismissed such allegations and maintained that the ministry was following the normal course of action. He said, “When a member of Parliament writes to any ministry, action required on their query is taken. It is not a big development, it is a normal process.”

It is telling that Rajnath Singh, the Home Minister of India is calling this a routine process and not a ‘big development’. Rajnath Singh has reiterated that when a member of parliament writes to a ministry, the required action on their query is taken. This would thus make this process a simple procedure that Rahul Gandhi can deal with rather easily by simply explaining the questions raised by Subramanian Swamy.

The citizenship row began in 2015 when Swamy cited documents pertaining to a company Backops Limited where Rahul Gandhi was the Director. In the said documents, the Congress President’s nationality was mentioned as British. Since then, the matter has been a cause of great dispute.

In November 2015, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by lawyer M.L. Sharma demanding a CBI inquiry into the matter. The highest court of the country deemed the petition ‘frivolous’. The following year in January, another BJP MP Maheish Girri filed a complaint with the Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, regarding Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship. As per the rules, she forwarded it to the Ethics Committee.

Two months later, in March, the Ethics Committee headed by veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi over the matter but nothing much came of it. It was later reported that not a single meeting was held in this regard. Since then, the matter was in a political potboiler until recently when an independent candidate from Amethi filed a complaint with the Election Commission over the matter. The EC, however, found no reason to disqualify the Congress President.

And today, it was reported that a notice has been sent to Rahul Gandhi by the MHA following a complaint by Subramaniam Swamy. It remains to be seen what happens in the future. Thus, it appears quite obvious that the MHA hasn’t really taken any vindictive action but merely sought Rahul Gandhi’s reply considering a complaint was filed by a Member of Parliament regarding his citizenship.

When Aladin, the present day Indian Prince, got hold of the magic lamp and yelled ‘ab hoga insaf’

Ever since his father died, Aladin was living a very humble life with his widow mother and his sister who was married to a poor peasant. He had seen extreme hardships in his young life after his ailing mother retired and left all the responsibility on his 50-year-old young shoulders. Sometimes, he lent his hand to labourers in the presence of photographers and sometimes ate only daal – chawal at poor man’s house but always ensured his sister had a bigger helicopter whenever she wanted to fly. He cursed the king who took everything away from him.

Once upon a time, on his incursions to backwaters of Kerala, he stumbled on to an antique magic lamp. Curious, he rubbed it and a Jeanie appeared. “Ask me any 3 wishes and it will be fulfilled.”, he said. Aladin was ecstatic and asked for the throne. The Jeanie immediately removed the king, held an election and hypnotized all coalition partners to elect Aladin as the next Prime Minister of the Country. Aladin took an oath and gave plum posts to his mother, sister, nephew and nieces. Also, he conferred a lot of land to his brother-in-law. He recalled all the sons and daughters of his late father’s friends and awarded them all profitable contracts. Peace, harmony and democracy once again thrived in the country.

But poverty in the countryside was still a cause of concern to Aladin. On consultation with one Uncle Chidu, he came up with an idea. As part of his second wish, He asked the Jeanie to provide 72,000 dinars annually to 20% of the poor, thus causing a surgical strike on poverty once and for all. “Ab hoga insaf”– he exclaimed. Peasants went crazily happy with this decision. Civil society members sang songs in his praise and hailed him and his ancestors. There were long queues to avail the ‘Insaf’ money. Those who did not fall under the bracket of 20% made sure they faked such documents. Even Aladin’s brother-in-law declared himself a poor peasant and received the 72,000 dinars promised, as so did all of his family friends.

Aladin’s Government had not accounted for the additional liability on the Jeanie. So, to mitigate, he increased taxes. Eventually the rich became the middle class and the middle class became poor and became eligible for the Insaf money, thereby creating a further burden on Jeanie. People stopped working because they knew the Jeanie was getting them free money anyway. Slowly, autos and rickshaws in the cities disappeared. Farmers stopped working in farms and maids stopped sweeping. There was an acute shortage of labour in factories and production in the country of all essential commodities dropped.

Surplus of money and a shortage of labour and goods, however, created another problem. The merchants who used to sell grocery at a few dinars now increased the prices manifold. Even a bottle of water started selling 1000 dinars. But even with their 72000 dinars, people found themselves so deprived that the number of beggars increased considerably as people had already lost their appetite to work and earn. The problem of poverty thus increased manifold. A mutiny and revolt against Aladin’s Government seemed inevitable.

Aladin’s advisers advised him to make use of the third and last wish to alleviate this dangerous issue. “Ask Jeanie to get us a lifetime to stay on an exotic island of Italy” suggested his mother. “Let’s demand a machine which can convert potatoes to gold” advised his sister. But Aladin was committed to resolving the issue rather than running away from it. He summoned the Jeanie and asked, “O Jeanie, for my third and final wish, I want you to remove poverty once and for all”. The Jeanie obliged and immediately passed an ordinance – “Any person who is earning more than one dinar per year would not be considered poor from this day until the end of days. Poverty is now declared to be only a state of mind”. And thus with a masterstroke, Aladin was able to reduce poverty to 0% first time in the history of the country.

LDF members were involved in bogus voting in Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency: Kerala Chief Electoral Officer

In a startling revelation made by the Chief Electoral Officer of Kerala, Teeka Ram Meena on Monday, days after Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala went to polls in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 23, it was revealed that bogus voting was done by LDF members in the elections. The officer disclosed that three ladies affiliated to the Left Democratic Front (LDF) were involved in “bogus voting” in Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala.

The accused have been identified as Padmini, Saleena NP, and Sumayya KP.

The development came into the forefront two days after Teeka Ram Meena directed returning officers to submit a report following complaints by Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) regarding bogus voting by the Left cadres across Kasaragod district in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Congress Leader Ramesh Chennithala had alleged that the CPI(M) has resorted to bogus voting fearing defeat in the elections. “From video evidence, it could be seen that the Left has cast around 5,000 bogus votes in Kasargod constituency,” PTI quoted Chennithala as saying. “We will take appropriate legal steps. We have warned the poll officials of such unlawful practices much before the polling day, but the authorities failed to take any action.”

On April 26, a video was aired by Mathrubhumi, a local news channel, which showed several people involved in bogus voting at polling booth number 19 in Kannur district. The visuals show a woman casting her vote twice, while another person is seen casting a bogus vote. Visuals also showed purported use of fake identity cards. Moreover, some political leaders can also be seen standing inside the polling booth while the voting took place.

Meanwhile, ANI quoted Meena as saying, “After receiving a factual report from the collector officers we have found that three ladies, affiliated to the Left party, voted twice in polling booth 19 of Payyannur in Kasargod parliamentary constituency. Particularly, two of them were not voters of that booth. It is an offence under Sections 171 C, F and D of Indian Penal Code.”

On being asked whether polling agents were also guilty of the crime, Meena said, “If the polling agents knew about it then they are also guilty of the offence. Also, polling agents have failed to conduct free and fair elections. On their part, it was a breach of election duty. We have directed the collector to conduct a detailed inquiry and take action against them accordingly.”

“One of the ladies was, in fact, the relieving agent for the LDF polling agent. So there was no doubt about the affiliation of the accused,” he added.

Kerala police have been asked to file an FIR and investigate the matter.

However, the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala Sunday rejected allegations of bogus voting at various polling booths in the Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency during elections on April 23 and welcomed any probe into the charges.

The Kasargod seat is considered to be the stronghold of the CPI(M). The Left was defeated from the seat the last time in 1984.

Voting for the 20 seats in Kerala concluded in the third phase of the election on April 23. A total voter turnout of 77.68 per cent was registered across the state, which was the highest in the last 30 years. Results of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections will be announced on May 23.

Arrogant Congress brought down to its knees, Rahul Gandhi to file new affidavit apologising for lie attributing ‘chowkidaar chor hai’ to SC

The Supreme Court bench comprising of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph to hear the Rafale review petitions. In that process, the Supreme Court (SC) has today compelled the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi to offer an unconditional apology to the Court for attributing the ‘chowkidaar chor hai’ comment to the Supreme Court judgement.

Ruchi Kohli (the representative of BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi) said that the second counter affidavit filed by Rahul Gandhi is similar to that of the first affidavit. She also rebutted Rahul Gandhi’s argument that he had made the statements without reading the order of the Supreme Court. She said that these comments were made in the evening too implying that the comment was made multiple times and hence, cannot be just in the heat of the moment or without reading the order in ignorance.

Ruchi Kohli also said that this statement by Rahul Gandhi that had attributed the ‘chowkidaar chor hai’ statement to the Supreme Court itself was also made in an election rally and hence, was not made in the heat of the moment.

Mukul Rohatgi, also appearing for Meenakshi Lekhi said that both the affidavits filed by Rahul Gandhi were similar and had a half-hearted mention of ‘regret’. Rohatgi said that this was the worst form of contempt of court. He said that there was no unconditional apology offered by Rahul Gandhi.

CJI Ranjan Gogoi asked Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing Rahul Gandhi what the meaning of the word ‘regret’ was.

Mukul Rohatgi said that somewhere he denies the statement, somewhere he says he had not analysed the order. This affidavit should be rejected. CJI Ranjan Gogoi asked ‘what is reject his affidavit?’. To that, Mukul Rohatgi said, ‘I meant to reject his excuses’.

Sensing that the CJI was in no mood to be benevolent, Singhvi said that he thought the affidavit was adequate, but if it was lacking, he should be given the opportunity to rectify and file the affidavit again.

Singhvi, on behalf of Rahul Gandhi then said that in the affidavit, “I have made three errors. I accept. I wrongly attributed the statements to My Lord. I apologised” is mentioned.

The court then asked Singhvi where that statement is in the affidavit, to which, Singhvi said that ‘regret’ is the same as an apology.

Never intended to suggest that the SC endorsed, adopted or supported the political slogan ‘Chowkidar chor hai’, said Singhvi and then, the Court allowed Singhvi, representing Rahul Gandhi to file another affidavit in court.

Supreme Court then clarified that this order cannot be understood to be an acceptance or acknowledgement of the affidavits that have been filed already.

Singhvi finally said that Rahul Gandhi would be filing a new affidavit in Court where he would be unconditionally apologising for attributing the words ‘chowkidaar chor hai’ to the Supreme Court and its judgement on the Rafale deal.

The Print, headed by the chief of Editors Guild, maintains stoic silence as Bengal burns with poll violence

The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal was mired with violence. The vehicle of a Union Minister was vandalized, journalists were attacked, people clashed with the central forces that were deployed, voters could be seen running away from booths fearing for their very lives and, of course, the rigging was rampant. It pretty much looked like a battle zone.

Under such circumstances, one would have expected the murder of democracy in Bengal would be dominating the news cycles. While regional media has done a commendable job, national media doesn’t appear to be too concerned about the troubling incidents in the state.

While a random instance of violence in a BJP ruled state dominates news cycles for days if not weeks, most outlets are carrying on as if everything is great and fine under the Sun. Times are such that the media outlet run by the Chief of the Editors Guild himself, The Print, hasn’t found the time to highlight the matter of the journalists who were attacked yesterday.

The Print published only two stories on West Bengal yesterday. One of them was a report which focused on Mamata Banerjee’s allegations that the BJP was misusing the central forces while the other reported on the BJP’s demand to deploy central forces in all the polling booths across the state for the remainder of the elections.

Shekhar Gupta, himself, hasn’t issued any statement either for the journalists who suffered violence on the line of duty. The Editors Guild, too, has maintained a stoic silence on the matter.

The conduct of the Editors Guild only shows establishment media clearly has vested political interests. Prime Minister Modi’s comments regarding 40 TMC MLAs being in touch with him have received more attention than undermining the very foundations of what constitutes our Democracy: Free and Fair Elections.

The Establishment Media doesn’t see fascism anywhere when BJP supporters and members are attacked for their political affiliation in the state. It has been happening at a remarkable frequency. Recently, the residence where a BJP candidate was lodged at was vandalized allegedly by goons associated with the TMC in their bid to intimidate her. And yet, the national media hardly paid any attention.

The manner in which the national media, in general, have covered the situation in West Bengal reveals the extreme bias it is afflicted with. If the same circumstances were observed in a BJP ruled state, there would have been endless reporting on the matter and rightly so. However, since the party responsible for the violence isn’t the BJP or its ally and the political workers getting killed largely belong to it, the media including the Editors Guild, quite shamefully, has chosen to ignore Death of Democracy in Bengal.

Akhilesh Yadav’s bizarre rant: ‘Modi wants youth to sell pakodas because the oil imported from abroad helps industrialists’

Speaking at Banda, Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav launched a bizarre tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an election rally. While talking about the supposed lack of employment opportunities for the youth, Akhilesh Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the youth of the country to fry and sell pakoda because the oil that is used to fry the pakodas in is imported from abroad and increased import would help Modi’s ‘industrialist friends’.

First, he lied and said that during an interview, when PM Modi was asked about how the youth should get employment, the Prime Minister had asked the youth to go and sell pakodas since there was no other option left for the youth. In reality, when asked about employment generation, the Prime Minister spoke about Mudra and how people were availing of these loans sans guarantee to start their own enterprises as well. The Prime Minister had never said what Akhilesh Yadav claims and this statement by PM Modi has been consistently twisted by the Media and politicians.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h71L_xdbk7Q]

Then came the bizarre comment by Akhilesh Yadav. First, he asked the people whether they want to study and then eventually become pakodawalas or chowkidars. Then, he started strangely talking to the media and said that after a lot of consideration, he has understood why BJP and the PM have mentioned ‘pakodawalas’.

He said that PM Modi asked the youth to fry and sell pakodas because the oil which is used to fry pakodas comes from ‘Videsh’ (abroad). The more that the oil is imported, the greater benefits would accrue to “PM Modi’s industrialist friends” and hence, according to Yadav, Modi wants the youth of the country to sell pakodas.

He then asked the crowd that if one sells pakodas, would the pakodas be better if they are cooked in refined oil or mustard oil. The purpose of this question is still unclear, of course, because cooking oil is adequately made in India as well.

He used this to say that BJP wants the pakodawalas to fry the pakodas in refined oil and not mustard oil and thus, eventually, wants farmers to not grow mustard seeds in their fields.

Branding this a grand conspiracy, and said that this is the reason that BJP says that there are no jobs and the youth must solely fry pakodas.

Most of the statements by Akhilesh Yadav are so outlandish that a fact-check would be considered an insult to the readers’ intelligence. Akhilesh Yadav has a penchant for making outlandish statements. Most recently, Akhilesh Yadav had defended Azam Khan’s wildly sexist remarks against BJP candidate Jaya Prada.

Read why Tej Bahadur Yadav, the mahagathbandhan candidate against PM Modi, was jailed four times and sacked from BSF

The Samajwadi Party changed its candidate from Varanasi yesterday. The party declared that instead of originally declared Shalini Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan candidate to contest against PM Narendra Modi will be Tej Bahadur Singh, the former BSF jawan who was sacked on disciplinary grounds.

Tej Bahadur Yadav was a constable in 29th battalion of BSF, and he was posted at a camp near the LoC in Jammu in Kashmir, when he grabbed national headlines in January 2017 after he posted few videos on Facebook. Yadav had posted four videos on 8th and 9th January in 2017, where he had complained about the allegedly poor quality of food served in the camp, and accused that officials were selling the supplies provided to the camp by the government.

He had said that the government is providing everything, but those are going to the market instead of used in the camp. In the video, he had shown watery dals and undercooked rotis, saying that sometimes soldiers are forced to sleep on an empty stomach. He had also said that the videos may land him in trouble, as officers have a lot of power.

The videos were picked up by national media and immediately they became viral. This had prompted Home Minister Rajnath Singh and MoS Home Kiren Rijiju to respond, saying the force has been asked to submit a report on allegations made in the video immediately and take appropriate action.

After this, the Prime Minister’s Officer had sought a detail report from the Home Ministry on the allegations made in the videos.

Subsequently, two simultaneous probes were started, one to look into the allegations made by Tej Bahadur Yadav, and another to look into the behaviour of the jawan in making the allegations public by posting the videos on social media.

Yadav was transferred to BSF headquarters in Jammu while a staff court of inquiry (SCoI) was launched into the matter. The Commandant and the second in command of the 29th battalion, where Yadav was posted, were also transferred to Tripura to ensure a fair enquiry into the charges levelled by the jawan. In an initial report, the MHA had said that there was no widespread discontent among the soldiers on food supplies, and there was no shortage of ration at any post.

In the report of staff court of inquiry, Yadav was found guilty of several offences, and he was dismissed from service in April 2017. The report had found that Yadav had made false charges against his officers.

“Yadav has been found guilty on certain charges of indiscipline including uploading the said video in violation of laid down procedures and rules”, BSF officials had informed. The action of dismissal of the jawan was taken under the Border Security Force Act that is applicable to all the personnel serving in the paramilitary force.

Even before he was dismissed in 2017, Yadav had faced punishment on disciplinary grounds earlier, much before Narendra Modi came to power.

On two occasions in March 2009, Yadav had made highly objectionable and abusive language against his seniors when he was asked to remain in high alert during naka duty. He had alleged that his seniors are issuing orders while they are sleeping, and threatened to shoot them with his rifle.

In March 2010, a BSF inquiry had found that Tej Bahadur Yadav had used criminal force and inappropriate language for his superiors. Yadav had pleaded guilty on both the charges and requested for less punishment and pardon. The Court had found him guilty, and he was sentenced to 3 months of rigorous punishment in custody of the force. His promotions were stalled for 3 years, and he didn’t get any salary, allowances during his jail term.

The order sentencing him the 3 months of imprisonment also noted that he had already earned 3 punishments before that, and his general character was assessed as poor. Tej Bahadur was awarded 14 days of rigorous imprisonment in 1996, 7 days in 2003 and 28 days in 2007 on various charges.

While Tej Bahadur Yadav may dismiss the disciplinary charge against him as vendetta now that he is in active electoral politics, he might find it tough to explain his earlier misdemeanours.

Here are the documents on the basis of which Rahul Gandhi has got a notice from MHA regarding his British citizenship

In September 2017, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy wrote to Home Minister Rajnath Singh to disqualify Rahul Gandhi as an MP for violating article 9 and 18 of the Constitution of India.

Swamy, in his letter to the Home Minister, had stated that as per the Registrar of Companies, England and Wales, Rahul Gandhi, who is third time MP, is the Director and Secretary of United Kingdom-based company BACKOPS Limited.

Article 9 of the Constitution of India bars every Indian citizen from acquiring voluntary acquiring citizenship of foreign state. Article 19 of the Constitution of India also bars Indian citizen from accepting foreign titles.

Earlier today it was reported that the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notice to Congress President Rahul Gandhi over the citizenship controversy that erupted a few weeks ago. The Home Ministry has cited documents of the British company BACKOPS where Rahul Gandhi filed returns are a British citizen and sought a response from him within 10 days.

The matter of citizenship had also arisen when representation was made to the Election Commission about Rahul Gandhi’s election affidavit from Amethi. That complaint was however disposed off saying that this is the domain of the Home Ministry and not of the Election Commission.

‘Journalist’ lies to draw false equivalence between convicted Indian Mujahideen terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and Sadhvi Pragya

Rana Ayyub, a quintessential troll who masquerades as a journalist and often indulges in Hinduphobia and fake news, has in her new anti-Hindu propaganda, attempted equate convicted Islamic terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, who is incidentally still an accused in a case and was a victim of severe brutality and also, of Congress’ attempt to concoct fake ‘Hindu terror’ narrative.

Rana Ayyub has posted an image of Indian Express news reports, where one of the reports concerning Sadhvi Pragya Thakur has been published adjacent to a report on dreaded Indian Mujahideen terrorist Yasin Bhatkal.

According to Rana Ayyub, a Hinduphobic troll who often masquerades as a journalist, the two reports depicted the ‘story of new India’. She went on to lament that the Indian Express report was on “two alleged terrorists, one with a Muslim name, another a Hindu name” insinuating, that Yasin Bhatkal was treated unfairly because he has a Muslim name or that Sadhvi Pragya is treated with kid gloves because she has a Hindu name.

Based on Ayyub’s theory of equivalence, there exists no difference between a convicted terrorist belonging to Indian Mujahideen and Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, who is still an accused and not convicted by any courts for her alleged role in the 2008 Malegaon case. In fact, the court had dropped MCOCA charges against Sadhvi and the NIA had given her a clean chit in the case.

Further expressing her sympathies, Rana Ayyub refers to terrorist Yasin Bhatkal as an ‘alleged terrorist’. However, Yasin Bhatkal is the founder leader of the terrorist organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM) and was listed as the NIA’s most wanted terrorist. Yasin Bhatkal is accused of direct involvement in over 10 separate terror attacks in India. He is an accused in 2008 Delhi terror attack, 2010 Varanasi bomb blasts. He is also suspected to have played an active role in the 2006 Mumbai serial train bombings.

The 2013 Hyderabad bombings were planned and executed by Jaish-e-Mohammad backed Indian Mujahideen headed by Yasin Bhatkal alias Mohammed Ahmad Siddibapaa. The Hyderabad blast killed 18 people and injuring nearly 130 innocent people. Yasin Bhatkal was, in 2018, convicted in the Hyderabad twin blasts along with others.

Yasin Bhatkal was finally captured by the police authorities in 2013, which break the back of the Islamic terrorist group Indian Mujahideen. During initial interrogation, Bhatkal had himself admitted of recruiting young men from Bihar to carry out terrorist attacks across the country, but our so-called liberals like Rana Ayyub gives them a clean chit by calling them an ‘alleged’ terrorist.

Yasin Bhatkal had also admitted his involvement in carrying out the 2011 triple blasts in Mumbai. He admitted to the investigative agency that he was the mastermind behind the blasts. Shockingly, Bhatkal had also admitted that he was satisfied with whatever he has done and had no remorse or regret for carrying out terrorist acts.

On the contrary, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur is still an ‘accused’ in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. In 2016, the NIA took over the case and filed a charge sheet in 2016 which exonerated Pragya Singh Thakur and dropped charges under MCOCA against all accused. She is currently under trial for multiple charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act but out on the bail.

It is not surprising to see Rana Ayyub sympathising with the cause of Islamists by whitewashing their crimes but what interesting is their relentless campaign to target a woman who has been allegedly tortured during her trial on the pretext of being part of ‘Hindu terror’ network.

The liberal pro-Islamist ‘journalists’ like Rana Ayyub do not want to leave out a chance to express their ‘Hinduphobia’ and often overlook the huge difference between the status of an accused and a convict while absolving an actual terrorist for all his crimes by calling him as an ‘alleged’ terrorist.

‘I wonder where this arrogance comes from,’ pro-Congress mediaperson hits out at Congress for its leaders’ arrogance

0

Pallavi Ghosh, the senior editor of CNN News18, is a known loyalist of the Congress party. On Tuesday, however, even Pallavi ended up being extremely frustrated with the arrogance of her cherished political party and its President, Rahul Gandhi.

The ‘journalist’ said on Twitter that a certain Congress leader behaved extremely rudely with her and told her that journalists were self-obsessed and that they didn’t matter, and then went on to rant about how they only care about Narendra Modi.

When she put in a request for an interview, she was told, “Run and catch them”. Even Pallavi, whose utter servility towards the Nehru-Gandhi Parivar cannot be questioned, was angered by the sheer arrogance of the Congress party.

Pallavi Ghosh is the media person who took the famous interview of Rahul Gandhi where she questioned Rahul Gandhi about ‘Pidi’, Rahul’s dog, at length and has shielded the dynasty on a number of occasions. One wonders if Congress leaders can treat a journalist who has shielded them on numerous occasions so shabbily, what is the respect they truly have for the media.

The Congress party is known to treat journalists with disdain. For instance, the Congress President himself had made ill-advised comments on ANI Editor Smita Prakash after her interview with Prime Minister Modi. Rahul Gandhi called her a ‘pliable journalist’. Senior Congress leader Chidambaram, who is an accused in multiple cases of corruption, too gave a veiled threat to a journalist after she asked him a question related to the cases against him.
