Imran Khan’s ‘endorsement’ of PM Modi could be a Congress ploy: Nirmala Sitharaman

Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement endorsing PM Modi for another term as India’s Prime Minister might be Congress Party’s ploy against PM Modi.

I don’t know why such statements are being made. Every time such statements are being made and this is individually my perception and not my party’s or the government’s take. There have been eminent Congress leaders who’ve gone there to seek help and said ‘Modi hatane ke liye madad karo’. I wonder if this is also part of a scheme of things which have been put forth by the Congress’ side,” Sitharaman was quoted as saying by ANI news agency.

During an interaction with foreign journalists in Islamabad, Imran Khan had, last week, said he believes there may be a better chance of peace talks with India and settling the Kashmir issue if Modi’s party BJP wins the general elections. Khan had also said if the next Indian government was led by the opposition Congress party, it might be too scared to seek a settlement with Pakistan over Kashmir.

Imran Khan’s statement was maliciously used by Congress to call out PM Modi saying that a vote for Modi is a vote for Pakistan. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala in a tweet said, “Pakistan has officially allied with Modi.”

Moreover, this statement coming from Pakistan, where ministers were seen openly mirroring the statements made by Congress and Rahul Gandhi after the Balakot airstrikes, also raised suspicions as it was immediately picked up by opposition leaders in India to attack PM Modi.

In fact, Nirmala Sitharaman in a statement in January 2019 had made similar allegations. She had accused Congress leaders of playing dirty politics by seeking help from Pakistan to remove PM Modi’s government.

Nirmala Sitharaman statements targetting the Congress party was an apparent reference to senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, who had called for the support of Pakistan to not only remove the current government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also to help Congress come to power. This is not surprising since earlier, Congress had even promoted a ‘Modi hatao, Desh bachao’ Facebook advertisement in Pakistan. They had, in fact, shared fake images of Modi and also ran ads in Pakistan and Bangladesh through a pro-Congress Facebook page.

Moreover, Congress rhetoric at home has always had eerie similarities to Pakistan’s rhetorics. Pakistani trolls had tried to shield and promote Rahul Gandhi fervently on Twitter. One can also recall how Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu had gone to Pakistan for Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony and hugged the Pakistan army chief undermining the sacrifices of thousands of soldiers who are butchered by Pakistan. He had then asserted that he rather visit Pakistan than South India. In fact, global terrorist Hafiz Saeed had also endorsed Congress’ “vision” of Kashmir.

In fact, Congress’ soft approach towards Pakistan is not new. Recently, following the Pulwama terror attack which claimed lives of over 40 soldiers, echoing Pakistan’s words, Congress referred to the terrorist as ‘home-grown so-called terrorist’. This, when Jaish-e-Mohammad, a terror organisation nourishing and flourishing on Pakistan’s soil has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, too, gave a clean chit to Pakistan by saying that ‘terrorism has no country‘. In fact, Congress supporters are so keen to absolve Pakistan of the responsibility that they are even floating theories that Pulwama terror attack was an inside job carried out on behest of PM Modi (with help of Jaish-e-Mohammad, the very terror organisation which wants him dead).

Similarly, echoing Pakistan’s rhetorics in claiming that the Indian airstrikes in Pakistan did not hit any terror camp, Congress also demanded proof of the strike.

Congress party’s politicking of the airstrikes was utilised by the hostile Pakistani establishment to propagate a narrative pertaining to the authenticity of the strikes.

It is also notable that earlier, the despiteful and bogus statements made in the Congress-led opposition party meet were cited by Pakistani channels to further their agenda.

And now, in the latest, a Pakistan media outlet, Radio Pakistan has yet again picked up a spiteful statement by Congress’ Navjot Singh Sidhu, trying to polarise votes in India.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has a special fondness for Pakistan, indulged in communal politics after he asked Muslims to unite and vote for the Congress party to remove Modi and the BJP. While speaking at a rally in Katihar, Bihar, Navjot Singh Sidhu stirred a massive controversy after he sought votes for Congress party candidate Tariq Anwar on the religious lines. Navjot Singh Sidhu said that the Muslims must come together and destroy the BJP with their solidarity.

This statement has been enthusiastically endorsed by Pakistan, who has often turned this Congress’ predisposition to their benefit and used comments of such political leaders to berate India.

They lied and concocted ‘Hindu terror’, they jailed and tortured her, now they rain hate on her for contesting 2019 elections

The demonisation and vilification of Hindus has long been one of the favourite projects of the Congress party and the ‘liberal’ ecosystem comprising of commentators and “journalists” who have shied away from questioning Congress’ maliciousness. Sadhvi Pragya, the victim of Congress’ malicious ploy to paint Hindus as terrorists in order to appease minorities has been shattered many times. Sadhvi Pragya, who was falsely implicated to prove ‘Hindu terror’ existed has joined BJP and is set to contest elections from Bhopal against Congress’ Digvijay Singh, one of Congress’ greatest foot soldiers in painting Hindus as terrorists.

“I was brutally beaten by male officers with a broad expeller belt, day and night for 24 days in custody. My arms and legs were swollen, which were then immersed in salty warm water, and the beatings resumed,” Sadhvi Pragya had said on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat.

“In custody, the officers used to hurl filthy abuses at me and forced me to hear objectionable  CDs. They wanted to forcibly extract a confession from me in order to implicate senior RSS leaders,” Sadhvi Pragya said. The Sadhvi also mentioned that she was tortured through sleep deprivation as well which caused her to experience immense psychological trauma as a consequence.

The arrest of Sadhvi Pragya among others was used by the Congress party to fan the theory of “Hindu Terrorism”. Many have gone on to assert, including a senior official in the erstwhile UPA administration, that the entire charade was an elaborate ploy organized by senior members of the UPA administration for political gains.

Sadhvi Pragya’s lawyer who fought for her bail had spoken to OpIndia in 2017. He had stated categorically that Sadhvi Pragya should have got bail in the first 30 minutes, but it took 8 years of imprisonment for her to be free.

With Sadhvi Pragya joining BJP and the party fielding her from Bhopal against Congress’ candidate Digvijay Singh, the meltdown of the liberal ecosystem is a sight to behold.

Swara Bhaskar who was recently seen screaming ‘Lal Salaam’ and supporting Kanhaiya Kumar who had screamed “Bharat tere tukde honge, Inshallah Inshallah’, called Sadhvi Pragya a “potential terrorist”.

She was joined by Prashant Bhushan who was recently caught violating Bar Council rules and has been rapped by the Supreme Court multiple times.

“Neutral” journalists too piggybacked on the news to spread their malicious agenda. Arfa Khanum Sherwani who is a bigot and lies regularly and belongs the Left propaganda website The Wire too made juvenile comments.

A journalist from Scroll remarked: ‘Terrible”.

Bigot Rana Ayyub who regularly whitewashes Islamists also furthered the Congress narrative of falsely demonising Sadhvi Pragya and Hindus joined by a “journalist” from Economic Times.

Swati Chaturvedi, who can best be described as an abusive troll who has been co-opted into journalism yet again by the Congress ecosystem that loves obedient foot soldiers, had a meltdown and went on a rant.

Congress loyalist and unquestioning troll Joy Das used this to declare Pakistan as being better than India and compare Sadhvi Pragya to Hafiz Saeed.

Sagarika Ghose and Rajdeep Sardesai, the star couple of India’s ‘secular liberal’ media brigade also expressed their outrage Sadhvi Pragya getting a BJP ticket.

Javed Akhtar was also unable to control his emotions.

JNU’s freelance protestor and freshly turned full-time politician Shehla Rashid too, registered her objections.

Interestingly, Sadhvi Pragya has been pitted against Congress’ Digvijay Singh. Digvijay Singh is the very politician who proudly launched a book ’26/11 – RSS ki Saazish’ and has often furthered the Hindu terror narrative that has been summarily debunked many times. The Congress party imprisoned Sadhvi, tortured her, beat her, vilified her and used her to brand Hindus are terrorists. It was in this time period that Congress also came up with the Communal Violence Bill that would brand every Hindu as a terrorist and every Muslim as the victim should communal clashes break out.

One certainly wonders why the ones who call themselves “journalists” never questioned Congress of every piece of evidence that proves Congress created the Hindu terror bogey simply to demonise Hindus. They never even raised a finger when RVS Mani, former under-secretary in the Minister of Home Affairs, revealed how Congress created the Hindu terror bogey maliciously. They even kept silent when he revealed that Kamal Nath told him while forcing him to concoct Hindu terror, that people are even willing to drink Rahul Gandhi’s urine, thus, he should have no problem in following orders and demonising Hindus.

After all of this, the “liberal” ecosystem still chooses to shut its eyes to the truth and further the narrative that has laden with lies and malice. The neutrality that these elements have flaunted as a virtue has long been proven to be a hoax. Most of the people outraging today don’t care about facts. The partisan hacks care about nurturing the narrative that Congress tried so hard to create and perhaps, their pain today can only mean that the narrative is falling apart, word by word.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi booked for calling Azam Khan ‘Mogambo’

A police complaint has been lodged against the BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for calling Azam Khan ‘mogambo’ and thereby flouting the Moral Code of Conduct.

In the wake of Azam Khan’s deplorable Khaki underwear remark for his opponent from Rampur constituency, Jaya Prada, Naqvi on Monday allegedly referred to Khan as ‘Mogambo’, the iconic villain character in Mr. India movie while addressing a public rally organised in Rampur. The rally was organised at Shahbaad Ram Leela ground in Rampur on Monday and an FIR was lodged on the same day late evening.

The Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Singh said, “The Magistrate who was monitoring the rally had given a complaint based on the alleged statements made by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and an NCR has been registered. The case has been registered following an order from Magistrate M K Gupta.

Magistrate M K Gupta said in a statement, “ On 15th April, in the rally organised in Rampur, BJP’s Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi referred to Azam Khan as ‘Mogambo’ which can cause animosity and in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

A few days back, Samajwadi leader Azam Khan had made derogatory remarks against his opponent and the BJP candidate from Rampur constituency, Jaya Prada in a rally and was defended by Samajwadi supremo Akhilesh Yadav as well.

Soon after the incident, Khan was also seen speaking to his supporters in a video, where he stated that after he is back in power, he will make collectors clean his shoes.

Filmmaker turned journalist insinuates the fall of Jet Airways being PM Modi’s fault, uses it to deride BJP’s ‘Vikas’ agenda

India’s first private airline Jet Airways have been facing a huge financial crisis since months. Most of its fleet has been grounded over non-payment of lease rentals and other dues. As of today, only five planes are operating. Today, the three-hour long board meeting of its stakeholders also remained inconclusive as the management struggled over the looming threats.

Lenders of the airline are reportedly undecided over whether to extend the 1000 crore interim funding requested by the airline without any collateral. in addition to this the airline’s pilots body, The National Aviator’s Guild has threatened to seek resolution under the insolvency laws. Over 16,000 employees of the airlines have not been paid their salaries since January.

Pradeep Singh Kharola, the secretary of civil aviation had informed yesterday that the airliner had requested an emergency funding of over Rs 400 crores but it is up to the lenders to decide on it. Vinod Dubey, the CEO of Jet Airways has sent a letter to SBI, the lead lender, stating that without the immediate disbursement of funds, the airlines will cease to function.

Etihad Airways, which owns 24% in Jet, was to infuse capital into the airlines to solves its financial crisis, but the talks are stalled over several disagreements. Etihad has not agreed to a debt resolution plan proposed by lenders of Jet Airways, led by State Bank of India. According to the proposal, the consortium of lenders, will convert its loans into shares and pump in an additional ₹1,000 crore to raise its stake to 29.5%. On the other hand, Etihad was also expected to infuse between ₹1,600 crore and ₹1,900 crore to raise its shareholding to 24.9%. However, the bidding process is still under deliberation.

However, amidst news of the financial crisis of the airliner being far from resolution and reports that it may soon be grounded, there are some self-proclaimed journalists who are quick to pin this purely private business issue on the government of India. Vinod Kapri, the group editor of TV9 Bharatvarsh, whose Modi hatred is well known, attempted to pin the Jet Airways crisis over the government of India.

Kapri, whose ‘journalism’ often sounds like Congress’ election campaign, insinuated that the entire Jet Airways crisis is somehow the fault of the Modi government. However, the people on Twitter were not amused to see such depravity coming from a media person.

The employees of the crisis-ravaged airliner have launched a campaign and some of them had even organised a demonstration seeking government intervention to save their jobs. However, though the government must be concerned over the crisis of such a large private organisation in the country, the blatant poiticisation of the purely financial crisis, that can happen to any large company, and an attempt by the journalist to peddle a political narrative was called out widely by many.

Reports mention that the ministry of civil aviation has been constantly in touch with Jet Airways management and lenders.

In fact, financial experts have stated that the troubles of the airliner can be traced back to the 2006 purchase of Air Sahara by the company which had turned out to be a catastrophe. Jet had to write off its entire investment in the deal in 2015 after the Air Sahara, renamed Jetlite, continued making loses.

The arrival of other low-cost airlines like Indigo, Spicejet, and GoAir is also considered as a reason Jet had to incur losses because the airline failed to acknowledge the cutthroat competition on time. Using fiercely competitive pricing and budgeting moves suited to the ever demanding Indian market, these airlines had managed to grab a major chunk of domestic carriers business in India.

Congress candidate from Kerala releases a deeply sexist ‘ad campaign’, says educating women is a waste

In a blatant display of his deep-seated sexist mindset, Congress candidate and UDF leader from Kannur, Kerala, K Sudhakaran has released a sexist video in which it is suggested that educating a woman is a mistake and that a man should be elected so “he can get things done.” Sudhakaran is one of the three working Presidents of the Congress in Kerala.

Ironically, while, on one hand, the party supremo, Rahul Gandhi tries to come across as a Messiah for women by repeating his women empowerment rhetoric, his party leader’s, are brazenly insulting women by posting sexist and misogynist videos on a public platform.

K Sudhakaran who goes around making crass remarks about women has outmatched his own records. Sudhakaram is contesting from Kunnur, Kerala and is pitted against the sitting MP from the Left, who’s also a teacher, P K Sreemati. Taking a jibe at his opponent Sudhakaran released this campaign video seeking votes.

Made in a short film format, the video focuses on a daughter and son demanding their share of the property from their father. As the father and his friend discuss the issue, the son walks into the frame complaining to the father that his sister has not managed to get things done. He then stomps off in anger. The father tells his friend that his daughter could not accomplish her task and that she was incapable of understanding the issue or communicating it effectively to the person concerned. He then says, “It was a waste educating her and making her a teacher!”.

The enthusiastic friend, who seems to share K Sudhakaran’s views on women, suggests that the father should have sent the son instead. “He is a man. If he goes, he will only come back after achieving his goal,” he claims.

Previously, Congress leader, K Sudhakaran had displayed similar misogynist psyche when he had said the Kerala CM is “worse than a woman” and called the minor in the infamous Suryanelli trafficking case a “prostitute”.

Recently, Congress spokesperson, Sanjay Jha, also in an attempt to deride PM Modi had exposed his sexism on Women’s Day. On 8th March 2019, Sanjay Jha the National Spokesperson of Congress tweeted “on a lighter note” wishing Prime Minister Modi a “Happy Women’s Day” and called him a “Drama Queen”.

In a bid to insult PM Modi, Sanjay Jha insinuated that comparing a man to a woman can be considered a pejorative. In fact, he even insinuated that women are “drama queens” and “blabber”. This type-casting of women, that has been encouraged for a few laughs had helped in institutionalised marginalisation of women. To insinuate that being compared to a woman is an insult, that too on International Women’s Day” only proved the anti-woman mindset that the Congress party harbours while talking tall about women empowerment.

Congress’ facade of women empowerment has been exposed several times in the past owing to their actions. Be it Rahul Gandhi’s close aide, Nikhil Alva recently booked for sexual harassment, or Congress IT cell worker named Chirag Patnaik booked for sexually harassing a female colleague or be it NSUI chief Fairoz Khan who stepped down from his post following charges of sexual misconduct.. the list seems to be never-ending.

In fact what could be seen as the biggest irony was when the Congress mouthpiece, National Herald, which was then busy pontificating about the #MeToo movement, audaciously chose not to mention allegations against its own editor.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Women’s Commission has taken suo motu cognisance against UDF candidate from Kannur K Sudhakaran for his campaign video for its misogynistic and sexist overtones.

Victim of Congress’ fake ‘Hindu Terror’ bogey, Sadhvi Pragya joins BJP, will contest 2019 Lok Sabha Elections

Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. She will contest the Lok Sabha Elections on a BJP ticket. The NIA had given her a clean chit in the Malegaon Blasts case in 2016 after years of brutal torture in prison.

Widely believed to be one of the victims of the Congress party’s attempt to invent Hindu Terror, Sadhvi Pragya was granted bail in April 2017, eight long years after she was jailed. Her legal representative said in an exclusive interview to OpIndia.com that she should have been granted bail in half an hour based on the circumstances of the case. We were further told that there was no credible evidence against her.

In an interview last year, the Sadhvi revealed the brutal torture she had to endure during the course of her imprisonment. “I was brutally beaten by male officers with a broad expeller belt, day and night for 24 days in custody. My arms and legs were swollen, which were then immersed in salty warm water, and the beatings resumed,” she had said. Filthy abuses were hurled at her and she was exposed to objectionable CDs in an effort to extract a confession from her and implicate senior RSS leaders.

There have been speculations that Sadhvi Pragya could contest against senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, one of the chief architects of the Hindu Terror narrative. Her victory against Singh would be poetic justice for all the hardships she has endured.

President Kovind was elected because of his caste: Shocking statement by Rajasthan CM and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot

Congress has been discovering new lows in political discourse every day with their President, Rahul Gandhi leading the way. Following his footsteps, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today made a shameful remark against the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. Gehlot said that the Modi government elected him as the President to get caste equations right before the Gujarat elections. Gehlot said that the Modi government elected him as the President to get caste equations right before the Gujarat elections.

The casteist remark came when Ashok Gehlot was reportedly addressing the Media. The senior Congress leader said that Ram Nath Kovind was elected as the President over LK Advani, the BJP patriarch because the Modi government wanted to get the caste equation right before elections.

Ashok Gehlot said, “People say that the selection of Rashtrapati Ji, Ram Nath Kovind, infact I was reading an article yesterday that it was the time when Gujarat was ready to go under polls and they (BJP) was fearful that Congress will form its government in the state. At that time, one after the other, Amit Shah revealed his gimmicks. I believe that it was upon his advice that Ram Nath Kovind was appointed as President to fit in caste factor. And Advani Sahab was left. The nation was hoping that Advani Ji will finally be regarded with the honour he deserved. Deprived”.

Ram Nath Kovind was an accomplished lawyer before his entrance into politics. He practised law for 16 years in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. Previously, he had served as the Governor of Bihar and was a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006. He has served on the Board of management of Dr B.R Ambedkar University, Lucknow, and as on the Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta. He has also represented India at the UN and addressed the United Nations General Assembly in October 2002.

President Kovind received the highest civilian honour of Croatia and the highest civilian honour of Bolivia, both in March 2019.

The Indian Media had taken a terribly elitist stand when President Kovind was elected saying that they had never heard of him and derided him in several ways. Many celebrity journalists had called him “worse than Pratibha Patil”. President Kovind, despite many of his accomplishments, has been branded as the “Dalit face of BJP” by many of the opposition members and journalists. Sadly, even the President of India is not out of limits for the elite Lutyens’ cabal, including the Congress party when it comes to playing petty politics.

Congress national spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi slams party for reinstating goons who had misbehaved with her

The latent discontent in one of the Congress’ foremost spokespersons Priyanka Chaturvedi finally surfaced when she took to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction on being unfairly treated by the Congress party. Priyanka has alleged in her tweet that lumpen elements in the Congress party get preference over the hard-working ones.

On April 15th, 2019, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee issued a letter of suspension to abusive party workers for their unruly behaviour with the party spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi in Mathura. As per the letter, the incident took place during a press conference that Priyanka Chaturvedi addressed in Mathura. The press conference was about the Rafale deal. However, much to Priyanka’s chagrin, within 2 days they were reinstated back in the party.

Among the persons who had allegedly misbehaved with Priyanka are the general secretary of the UPCC and vice president of the Congress committee in Mathura, as well as a former MLA candidate, along with several other office bearers of the party.

This triggered the brewing anger in Priyanka and she took to Twitter to express her disapproval. Priyanka lamented that the Congress party has a tendency to ignore workers who give their sweat and blood to the party while preferring those who indulge in hooliganism.

Oddly, the letter is dated for 15th April 2015. But given the context of the press conference mentioned and the latest tweets by Priyanka Chaturvedi herself, the date is most likely a typo.

It is notable here that there has been much discussion on social media over Priyanka Chaturvedi’s hard work being ignored by the party after she failed to get a party ticket for any seat in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

After Borivali, people in Malad greet Congress candidate Urmila Matondkar with ‘Modi Modi’ slogans

Actor-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar who was scheduled to begin her campaign from Malad (East) and go up to Kandivali (East) on Tuesday was once again greeted with citizens chanting pro-Modi slogans for the second day on the trot.

Matondkar is the Congress candidate for Mumbai North and is currently on a campaign trail to woo the voters. A video, which is doing the rounds on the internet shows how a few bystanders started chanting pro-Modi slogans as soon as Ms Matondkar’s rally entered the thickly populated area of the diamond market in Malad. However, Urmila didn’t lose her calm and kept waiving at the people.

“I don’t know who they were. If some people want to disrupt my rally, they can do it. I believe in the Freedom of Expression which the present government has tried to suppress in the last four and a half years. I remained calm in the rally. I don’t know who would want to shout pro-Modi slogans in the diamond market area which crashed overnight after the demon of demonetisation hit all of us,” Urmila said.

BJP MLA from Kandivali, Atul Bhatkhalkar asserted that the shouting of pro-Modi slogans in Urmila Matondkar’s rallies is a crystal-clear indication of the presence of Modi wave. He also held Congress workers responsible for the scuffle that broke out on Monday in which Congress workers had beaten up people shouting pro-Modi chants.

The BJP candidate Gopal Shetty claimed that like the candidates have a right to campaign, people can also voice their support freely. He alleged that it was wrong on the part of Congress workers to beat up people who chanted Pro-Modi slogans and urged the Election Commission to look into the matter.

In a similar incident that had happened on Monday, Urmila had sought police protection after a scuffle broke out between Congress workers and BJP supporters at Borivali station. A video has emerged in which the outraged Congress supporters can be seen resorting to violence against the people chanting “Modi Modo” slogans in Urmila Matondkar’s rally in Borivali.

‘Deshdrohi Murdabad’: Begusarai locals protest against Kanhaiya Kumar by stopping his roadshow, ask him what ‘Azaadi’ does he want

Career JNU protestor turned wannabe politician Kanhaiya Kumar, who after being ditched by the ‘mahagathbandhan‘ is contesting 2019 Lok Sabha elections on a CPI (Communist Party of India) ticket from Begusarai, Bihar faced protests while on his campaign trail. On a campaign procession, Kanhaiya Kumar was gheraod by Begusarai locals and questioned about the ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’ slogans that were raised by him and his opposition to reservation for the economically backward sections of the society.

Locals of Begusarai, who were outraged by Kanhaiya Kumar’s stand on various issued stopped his cavalcade and asked him what kind of ‘Azaadi’ he wanted, referring to the ‘Hum cheen ke lenge Azaadi, Bharat tere tukde honge Inshallah’ slogans that were raised in JNU by Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and other students in 2016.

The local who confronted Kanhaiya said that the poor people of this country don’t want any ‘Azaadi’. He also said that while it is good that Kanhaiya wants to become a politician, but he needs to give answers to the people of this country.

The people of Begusarai also asked Kanhaiya why he opposed reservation for the economically backward people of the country. Prime Minister Modi had recently announced 10% reservation for the poor people of India that was opposed tooth and nail by not just Kanhaiya Kumar but even Congress. Stunned, Kanhaiya had no response to the questions that were being thrown at him.

The only response Kanhaiya had was to ask the locals if they were BJP supporters. To that, the locals said that they are actually going to vote for NOTA (None of the above). They also said that Kanhaiya Kumar should respond to questions and that anyone who asks questions does not become a BJP supporter. People also told Kanhaiya that he shouldn’t bother asking for votes but first, win the hearts of people and that screaming “Bharat tere tukde honge Inshallah Inshallah” won’t help him.

Following the conversation, both sides resorted to sloganeering. The locals, in unison, said “Deshdrohi Murdabad”. According to reports, it was only after persuasion that Kanhaiya’s cavalcade was allowed to pass.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been shielding Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and other students in the sedition case by delaying granting sanction for the prosecution that the Delhi police needs to finalise the chargesheet against the students who raised seditious slogans in 2016.

Interestingly, in the affidavit filed with his nomination, Kanhaiya Kumar has listed himself as ‘unemployed’ and yet, showed an income of Rs 6,30,360 in 2017-18 and Rs 2,28,290 in the year 2018-19.

In October 2018, an FIR was filed in Patna against Kanhaiya Kumar and his supporters after they misbehaved with AIIMS doctors. From his close aide accusing him of being a ‘liar’ and a ‘casteist’, to when Kanhaiya was accused of flashing his d***k to a woman, Kanhaiya Kumar has been a paragon of disruption and a symbol of everything that is wrong with Indian politics. We had earlier also reported how Kanhaiya Kumar had used a disreputable journal, which is blacklisted internationally, to get his article published for PhD thesis submission.
