‘His rectum was missing, eyes were gauged out’, Sanjay, a Dalit Hindu was murdered because he did not convert after marrying his Muslim neighbour

Twenty-two year old Sanjay Kumar’s decaying body was found on August 21, 2018, in the national capital.

Kumar, a Dalit Hindu, fell in love with Rukhsar, a Muslim woman in the neighbouring colony and about a year a half ago the two eloped. They returned home eight months later after Rukhsar, who now went as Rukmini, was pregnant with their first child. Sanjay had taken Rukhsar, who was an adult as well, to their village in Rajasthan where they registered their marriage in court.

Rukhsar, on her own will, started wearing the sindoor and chooda and observing fasts and Hindu traditions. Rukhsar, however, reportedly secretly kept in touch with her mother, Madina, who even sent them gifts on one occasion. However, on their return, Rukhsar’s family insisted Sanjay converts to Islam. When he resisted, Rukhsar’s family got the foetus aborted.

Soon, Sanjay and Rukhsar moved little further from where they stayed. However, things got worse when Rukhsar became pregnant for the second time. This is when her family decided to officially separate the two. Sanjay resisted but Rukhsar was taken away to her maiden home.

Their lives changed forever last year on August 15. Saleem, the key accused, called up Sanjay and asked him to meet him to end the matter once and for all. On August 16, Sanjay left with Saleem on his bike to never return.

When he did not return till late evening, Sanjay’s mother got worried. She went to Saleem’s place who said he did not know where Sanjay was. The Swarajya report says that Sanjay’s family was not as financially well off as Rukhsar’s was. Sanjay’s was a poor household and he did odd jobs to make a living while his mother worked as a maid.

An FIR for a missing person was filed on August 19 and his decaying body was found in the hilly areas nearby on August 21. Swarajya reports that Rukhsar’s family’s only concern was that Sanjay did not agree to convert. One of the neighbours, Sunita, had told Swarajya that Rukhsar’s mother had expressed relief at separating the two because now she had ‘saved her daughter from being cremated’.

reported by Swarajya details the post-mortem report which gives an insight into the cruelty inflicted upon Sanjay for hours before he breathed his last. Swarajya report mentions,

His rectum was missing, suggesting that an object was inserted into his anus and forcibly pulled out. His penis was not found intact, suggesting it was chopped off. His lungs were missing, suggesting his body was cut open. Eyeballs were missing and eye sockets were lying empty, suggesting that they were gouged out. Many of his teeth were missing. The skin on both the hands and on his right foot were de-gloved, suggesting he was tied up and dragged. Skin was peeled off at some places, including a patch where a tattoo of ‘Om’ were present.

The doctors believe that this could not have been a work of a stray animal after he died since the signs point to the act of a human. The body was badly rotten and had maggots crawling all over it. The Swarajya reporter shared the post-mortem report with OpIndia which revealed further shocking details.

The chest was missing, abdomen flaccid. Remnants of penis and scrotum were present. Mandible (lower jaw bone) was missing. Gnawing effects were present over the bilateral pelvic, scrotum, penis, perineal and anal region.

Sanjay’s mother, Manju, had “lost her senses” and gone into depression after hearing about her son’s murder. It took her several weeks to gather herself.

As Manju waits for justice for her son, they believe the administration has failed them in bringing justice. As reported by Swarajya, the charge sheet, accessed by them, does not include Rukhsar’s name. Even though her statement was crucial it was not recorded. An activist, who is helping the family with getting justice says that the charge sheet includes the accused’s version that they carried out the deed because Sanjay ‘abandoned’ their daughter.

A government job was offered to a family member of Sanjay, but that has reportedly not been fulfilled yet. Fearing for life, threatened, Manju awaits justice even as the accused may soon be out on bail.

Manju, on knowing that her son may have been alive today had he agreed to embrace Islam and converted, says that she would have forced her son to have converted to Islam. “At least his life could have been saved,” says Manju.

And by the way, this incident is not considered ‘hate crime’ (where Sanjay, A Dalit Hindu was murdered by the family of his Muslim wife for not converting to Islam) by self-proclaimed ‘fact-checkers’ who are keeping track of such ‘hate crimes’.

‘Rakesh Asthana said he will make my life hell if I don’t cooperate in investigation’: Christian Michel

0

VVIP chopper scam middleman Christian Michel has made startling revelation which may indicate why the Congress party and pro-Congress activists were so much against former CBI special director Rakesh Asthana. In the CBI vs CBI battle between Asthana and former CBI director Alok Verma, Congress party and activists had openly taken the side of Verma. Rakesh Asthana was described as PM Modi’s blue-eyed boy, while lawyer Prashant Bhushan had filed multiple petitions against the appointment of Asthana as CBI special director, all of which were rejected by the Supreme Court.

Rakesh Asthana was leading the CBI efforts in getting several fugitives extradited to India, including Vijay Mallya and Christian Michel. In December last year, Michel was extradited to India by UAE, while extradition of Mallya from UK is in final phases while both the courts and UK government has given go-ahead for the same.

During his hearing in the Patiala House Court, Michel was complaining that he has been kept with other criminals like murderers, and said that he had done a white colour crime so he should be kept separately. He told the court that what is happening to him matches what was warned by CBI officials earlier. Michel said that Rakesh Asthana had met him Dubai sometime back had threatened that his life would be made hell inside jail if he does not cooperate with CBI in the investigations. He said that now exactly the same is happening as his next-door inmate in Tihar Jail is dreaded gangster Chotta Rajan. He also alleged that the prison also had 16-17 Kashmiri separatist leaders. But the jail authorities denied that and said that Michel and separatists were in different blocks in the jail.

Michel has already made very significant disclosers about the AgustaWestland scam during his interrogation. He has names certain “Mrs Gandhi”, “Italian lady’s son R who might become PM” as the persons involved in the bribery case. It is alleged that bribes were paid to senior leaders of the Congress party and senior officials of the IAF to win the bid for supplying helicopters meant for VVIP transport, where Christian Michel acted as a middleman. His revelations during the probe case fall of several big names in the country. It can be noted that Michel has been represented by a lawyer who was a Congress leader, although he was expelled from the party after a massive public outrage.

Christian Michel’s comments about the Rakesh Asthana shows that when the former CBI special director was diligently working for getting the VVIP chopper scam solved, certain people in India, including the Congress party, were trying their best to remove him from the post.

During the extradition hearing in UK court, fugitive Businessman Vijay Mallya also had complained about Rakesh Asthana handling his case. Mallya’s lawyers had cited cases filed by activists against Asthana in India as proof that the officer was corrupt, which was rejected by the UK court.

Dear ‘liberals’, inventing fake victims of terror to uphold secularism will have terrible consequences

In recent times, the mainstream media has abandoned its duty of reporting facts and taken upon itself the role of Moral Science teachers we had in kindergartens. And as a consequence, they have compromised heavily on the authenticity of their reporting for the baton of moral superiority they brandish among themselves.

It was reported that NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar, the veteran politician, lied about a Masjid being attacked during the 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blasts for the sake of secularism since, in reality, only Hindu dominated areas were targeted. Unfortunately, such ghastly lies about terror attacks for the purpose of generating fake narratives are not the only ones that peddled in the name of secularism.

A phenomenon that has emerged over time is that on the backdrop of any terror attack when the nation is still mourning the loss of innocent lives, the mainstream media and a certain section of the Indian polity appears more concerned with imagined crimes than real.

The wounds of Pulwama had not healed, the blood of the martyred still hadn’t gone cold, the tears of their daughters and wives and parents still hadn’t gone dry and every ’eminent’ citizen of the country was more concerned with an apparent threat to Kashmiris that did not exist than the sentiments of the bereaved. And when it became clear that no such organized attacks were taking place, only those who were making anti-India remarks were being targeted and even that through legal means, a narrative was literally invented so that Kashmiris could be painted as victims even though they had suffered no atrocity, they hadn’t lost any family, they weren’t attacked by anyone for their identity.

It’s a trope that is repeated all over the world over and over again after every single act of terror in which people lose their lives. The narrative is quickly shifted from the motivations that inspired the terror attack and every media outlet runs amok with the narrative of ‘Muslims fear backlash‘. After London, after Barcelona, after Orlando, after Brussels, after Berlin, after Paris and after every other terror attack, instead of addressing the causes that led to them and grieving with the families of the deceased, people are warned about how Muslims are living in fear. It doesn’t matter that apart from rare instances where a solitary person committed a crime against a Muslim and was punished for it, there has been a single instance of organized violence against Muslims in the backdrop of a terror attack. It simply hasn’t happened. And yet, it’s the narrative that is sold every single time.

The mainstream media and the section of politicians whose careers depend on minority appeasement have made it a business of fear-mongering and creating victims out of Muslims when there are none. The only victims of terror attacks are the deceased and their families. Why do Muslims have to be declared the victims even when they are not? Why are they constantly fed the toxic syrup of perpetual victimhood? Does it really serve their interest when an attempt is made to deflect attention from the actual causes of terrorism by proclaiming them as victims when they clearly aren’t?

The Indian Media quietly ignored the fact that the Pulwama terrorist made it clear that he was carrying out the attack against ‘Cow-piss drinkers‘, a derogatory term that is used against Hindus. Instead of addressing the kind of hatred and bigotry that leads to such heinous crimes against humanity, the media and politicians instead busied themselves inventing victims of ‘Hindutva extremism’ when none existed.

If secularism mandates that people not be allowed to grieve their dead without being bombarded with a barrage of propaganda that makes a certain community appear as the victim, even when it’s not, people are going to question whether such secularism is worth preserving at all. For the interests of our country, that is not a very good prospect.

The more we make victims out of people who are definitely not, the more grievances we create in the minds of people who actually are. By disrespecting the sentiments of the near and dear ones of the dead and by portraying a community whose followers were just slaughtered for their faith by deeming others as potential rioters and criminals, we further risk endangering the fabric that binds our country together.

In the Pulwama terror attack, the Kashmiris were not the victims. Soldiers of the CRPF were. They were attacked because the terrorist wanted to kill ‘cow-piss drinkers’. These are the facts. ‘Kashmiris under attack’ is not. According to reports, Kashmiris were pelting stones at the soldiers who lay injured in the aftermath of the suicide attack. In the 1993 Bomb Blasts, Sharad Pawar simply concocted a bomb blast at a Muslim religious place for the sake of the so-called ‘secular fabric’. Nobody questioned this flawed, malicious logic.

Under such circumstances, it’s abundantly clear that the people predominently under attack are Hindus and we are under attack from terrorists who cannot tolerate the diversity of our religious beliefs. If politicians spend more time condemning fictional events than real ones, then the real victims of terrorism may run out of patience. And if that happens, the consequences will be grave for our country.

Every responsible citizen should devote more time to sympathizing with real victims than invent fake ones to further their own nefarious agenda. Unless we address the core issues that afflict our country, more innocent blood will be spilled by people who have abandoned all reason and humanity. If we sympathize more with imagined victims than real ones, the consequences will be devastating.

Mamata Banerjee announces TMC’s candidates for General Elections, accuses BJP of performing ‘Black Magic’

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the list of candidates for the 2019 General Elections in West Bengal on Tuesday. She dropped 10 of her sitting MPs in the state. She said the party will also contest on some seats in Assam, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and the Andamans.

Then, in a bizarre statement, Mamata accused the BJP, and specifically Narendra Modi, of doing ‘Black Magic’. She said, “May 19 (last day of the polls) will sound the death knell for the Modi sarkar. They have done a kind of ‘black magic’ in this country. My only challenge is to remove Modi sarkar. On May 19, its one foot will be in the coffin.”

Mamata Banerjee is known to make bewildering remarks. She had earlier said that Prime Minister Modi was jealous of her painting skills. Then again, in a poem of sorts, she equated illegal immigrants with untouchables.

The Chief Minister’s remarks may be indicative of her nervousness about her party’s prospects in the Lok Sabha Elections. Earlier today, Congress MLA Dulal Chandra Bar and CPM MLA Khagen Murmu had joined the BJP. Bolpur MP Anupam Hazra, accusing the TMC of blatant corruption and for prevailing anarchy in the state, has joined the BJP as well.

Earlier, BJP leader and former TMC leader Mukul Roy had claimed that at least 5 more MPs were in touch with him and wanted to join the BJP ahead of the general elections. There have been reports that many TMC cadres are willing to join the BJP in huge numbers. The BJP was also reported to be making gains in erstwhile Maoist bastions and tribal areas in the state.

Thanks to ‘Make in India’, India’s manufacturing expands to hit 14-month high amidst slump in Asia: Nikkei Asian Review

Despite major emerging economies in the region recording a slump in their manufacturing activity, India has emerged as an exception, as the manufacturing activity is expanding at the fastest rate in 14 months, reports Nikkei Asian Review.

The latest data comes from the Nikkei Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) survey of this month, which is conducted on a monthly basis. The monthly Nikkei PMI survey collects the data from companies in major Asian countries except for China regarding changes in output, orders and other business conditions relative to last month. Of the 15 data sets analysed in the PMI for February, nine countries saw a drop compared to the previous month while only six rose, with manufacturing seeing a specifically widespread decline.

India has been a notable exception as the manufacturing PMI rose to 54.3 from January’s 53.9, its highest level since December 2017. A PMI reading below 50 indicates a slowdown in manufacturing activities, while over 50 points to expansion.

The Nikkei Asian Review report says that the Indian manufacturing industry is mainly comprised of chemicals, machinery, metals, and textiles. The increasing growth in the manufacturing sector is attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, which seeks to transform manufacturing in the country.

In February, 21% of the companies surveyed signaled an increase in new orders. Reportedly, automobile giants Mahindra & Mahindra has sold 52,915 cars in the domestic market during the month, an increase in 9% sales compared to last year. “A number of panelists indicated the acceptance of bulk orders from clients in key export destinations,” the survey also noted.

According to Shilan Shah, an economist at Capital Economics, prospects for Indian manufacturers remain bright over the near term. He further added that the Modi government has unveiled policies to the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises ahead of the general election that is due by May.

On the other hand, most other Asian nations recorded lower PMI numbers in February as they continued to be affected by the US-China trade tensions as well as the global technology slump. Especially hard hit by the manufacturing slowdown in Asia are Japan and South Korea, which are mainly dependent on exports to China, who is on a trade war with the US.

Ethiopian Airlines Crash: A close look at Boeing 737 MAX 8 systems

On 10th of March, A Nairobi bound Ethiopian airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8, carrying 149 passengers and 8 crews crashed 6 minutes after its take off from Addis Ababa. The crash is eerily similar to the October 29th, 2018 incident involving a Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 which plunged into the Java sea 12 minutes after its takeoff killing all 189 passengers and crew members.

Both flights were brand new clocking somewhere around 800 hours of flying. Both were being flown by experienced captains and first officers (FO) who had 5000-8000 hours of flying between them. Looking at the flight data, it seems both aircraft could not maintain a steady climb after their take off. While the crew tried to pull up, the aircraft kept falling until the crew lost control and both aircraft plunged to ground/sea.

While the full investigation report on the Lion Air crash is not yet published, let’s see what we know so far from the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) + Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) together known as Blackbox. Before we understand what went wrong, we need to understand a few aerodynamics forces.

One of the fundamental forces working on an aircraft is Lift. Lift is generated by the high-velocity low-pressure air moving over the top of the wing and low-velocity high-pressure air at the bottom of the wing due to the unique aerofoil shape of the aircraft. Due to the pressure difference, the high-pressure air from the bottom tries to move up to the low-pressure area, hence lifting up the airplane. At any point, the lift force should be higher than the weight of the airplane for the aircraft to keep flying.

Lift working at the aircraft wing

Now let’s understand another fundamental principle here. The faster the plane moves, the pressure difference becomes higher. Hence more is the lift generated and aircraft flies higher. As the velocity is decreased, the pressure difference drops and aircraft comes down. In fact, this is how the plane lands (Plus certain other things). However, there is a minimum speed the aircraft must maintain to keep the lift generated at wings higher than its weight. If the aircraft goes below this speed, the lift force will not be able to keep the aircraft in the air. This is known as stall speed.

Modern-day jets deploy various anti stalling mechanisms to keep the aircraft from stalling. Aircraft are tested in adverse conditions to test the anti-stall systems. In fact, a test flight Airbus A320 belonging to XL Airways Germany, to be delivered to Air New Zealand crashed while testing the anti-stall systems killing all 7 crews including the test pilots and flight engineers. Of course, the crew disregarded the altitude and speed limits under which these tests must be conducted. However, this goes on to say how detailed every system is tested on a commercial jet before giving it airworthiness certificate.

Anti-stall generally deploys 2 thing – More power to engines to generate more thrust and thereby increase velocity, Change angle of attack – The angle at which the oncoming air hits the wing tips. Decreasing the angle of attack (Pitching the nose down) increases the lift coefficient but only till a critical point, beyond which the plane may go into an uncontrolled descent.

Boeing launched the 737 MAX 8 as an answer to Airbus A320 neo as the most fuel efficient short-haul single-aisle aircraft. To make it more efficient, Boeing incorporated some design changes to the airframe and added bigger engines. To compensate for this, they had to move the engines slightly forward. This changed a lot of aerodynamics in the jet. Read the next lines slowly as this is important to understand what may have gone wrong in both aircraft.

The relocated engines cause an upward pitch i.e. the aircraft nose pitched upward. To compensate for this, Boeing added the “Manoeuvring Characteristics Augmentation System” – MCAS system to help the pilots bring the nose down in case the nose pitches too high up increasing the angle of attack beyond the critical limit bringing the aircraft to a stall. A very important characteristic of MCAS is, it’s activated by flight computers without the pilot’s input.

The below pic shows a horizontal stabiliser at 0 degrees trim. Take a good look at it next time you are boarding an aircraft. The primary job of MCAS is to trim the aircraft nose down. It moves the horizontal stabiliser up by .27 degree per second up to 2.5 degrees. It disengages when the nose is levelled sufficiently i.e. Angle of Attack (AoA) is lowered or pilots override with manual trim.

Horizontal Stabilizer at 0 degree – Pilots can move this to pitch the aircraft up or down

Now let’s see how these set of complicated flight automation system caused Lion air to crash.

The doomed Lion Air had a faulty AoA sensor. Which means, it was sending wrong data to flight computers. The faulty data signalled a stall while the aircraft was flying at sufficient airspeed and nowhere near stall. The erroneous stall signal engaged MCAS which Boeing never told the pilots about. MCAS activated and tried to pitch the nose down. Because pilots never knew about the MCAS system, they could not figure out why the aircraft was trimming down on its own. They tried to pull the yoke stick to pitch up but that did not disengage the MCAS.

Angle Of Attack Sensor

There is another catch here. If the flight computers detect a stall (Which was due to wrong AoA inputs in this case), the make the yoke stick manoeuvring difficult to pitch up. It means because the computers think aircraft is going to stall, they want to help the pilot in pitching down the aircraft. It means pushing the yoke stick is loosened while pulling it becomes tightened and hence difficult. This is because, to stop a stall, you will want to pitch down and not pitch up.

However, in the case of Lion Air, it was not stalling. The computers thought it was stalling. So in addition to activating MCAS, which started trimming the nose down, the computers also made it difficult for the pilots to pull the yoke stick. This may explain the unsteady climb of the aircraft before it finally plunged. It’s noteworthy here that similar thing happened with the doomed aircraft couple of days before the incident. The pilots could not understand why the aircraft was pitching down without any inputs and they also didn’t know about MCAS. However, they switched off the autopilot and overrode with manual trim. That disengaged the MCAS and saved the day for them. The ill-fated set of pilots were not as lucky.

Boeing 737 MAX 8 made its first commercial flight in 2017. It’s a brand new aircraft. 2 fatal incidents involving a brand new jetliner is not usual. Following these incidents, China has ordered all its carriers flying this aircraft to ground their jets. As many as 18 airliners have grounded their MAX 8 suo motu without any regulatory advice until further instructions from FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and Boeing.

DGCA has followed a cautionary approach on this. In India, Spice Jet flies 12 and Jet flies 5 Boeing 737 MAX 8. Following the Lion Air incident, DGCA had mandated Boeing pilots to undergo a compulsory training with Boeing to learn new features. After the Ethiopian crash, DGCA has issued an order to update the Master Equipment List (MEL) for Boeing planes. MEL lists all equipment failing which the airworthiness certificate won’t be issued. The list of the instrument to inspect during routine maintenance now includes Stall management and AoA sensors. Additional checks to ensure the NULL position for AoA sensors have been added to the checklist.

Jet has given a statement that it is not flying any of the 5 aircrafts until further instructions from Boeing.

Safety is paramount. While investigations are still ongoing in both the crashes and we await the final report, it’s imperative that Boeing addresses the concerns by adding required safety measures to stop any untoward incident in future. We understand Boeing is working closely with all its customers and regulatory authorities and we hope they make the skies safer than ever before.

West Bengal: TMC MP Anupam Hazra, 2 MLAs from Congress and CPM join BJP

The Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee seems to be crumbling just weeks ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha polls as another TMC MP, Anupam Hazra has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today.

According to reports, Congress MLA Dulal Chandra Bar and CPM MLA Khagen Murmu have also joined the BJP.

According to reports, two sitting MLAs will also join BJP along with Bolpur MP Anupam Hazra. Hazra is set to quit the party after accusing the TMC of blatant corruption and for prevailing anarchy in the state.

Anupam Hazra, a former professor at Visva-Bharati University was earlier penalised by the TMC after he had shared several posts on social media voicing against his party members. Following this, Hazra was warned by the TMC and in January he was expelled from the party for anti-party activities.

Recently, Saumitra Khan, another Trinamool Congress MP had quit the party to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Saumitra Khan, who is the MP from Bishnupur is likely to contest from the same seat on a BJP ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Reportedly, there are speculations that Congress leader Deepa Dasmunshi, wife of late Congress leader Priya Ranjan Das Munshi may join the BJP too and contest the Lok Sabha polls as Congress party has decided to not field her as a candidate against Raigunj MP Mohammad Salim of the CPI-M.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress has been under tremendous pressure as BJP has seen a lot of traction across the state of West Bengal. Even more of a concerning for her is that the BJP has its eye set to win at least 23 seats from Bengal and is looking to make huge gains in the Mamata’s own backyard.

Mamata Banerjee certainly has been feeling the pressure and has been forced to play the BJP’s game. With the entry of the BJP in the state, the losses to Mamata are considerably high as Mamata Banerjee will not only be losing the political hegemony to the BJP which she enjoyed in the state for a long time but may also result into good political outcome for the BJP in the Lok Sabha. Further, Mamata Banerjee’s ambitions to head the opposition alliance will certainly be at stake if she is unable to get the relatively higher number of seats compared to the other regional parties.

After banning firecrackers, SC asks why are people seeking a ban on them when automobiles appear to cause more pollution

In an unusual turn of events, after banning firecrackers last year, the Supreme Court on Tuesday asked why are people seeking a ban on firecrackers when automobiles appear to cause more pollution. It also directed the government to submit a comparative study on the matter.

The Supreme Court also appeared to realize the devastation of employment their earlier judgment had wreaked. “We did not wish to generate unemployment,” the judges said.

“We can’t let people go hungry because some others think firecrackers are not good. Moreover, there are areas where crackers could be used without causing much damage, such as community fireworks,” the bench led by Justice SA Bobde has said.

“Is there any comparative study on what proportion of pollution is caused by firecrackers and what proportion is caused by automobiles? It seems you are running after firecrackers, but bigger pollution contributor is perhaps vehicles,” the SC bench reportedly said to Additional Solicitor General ANS Nadkarni, who represented the central government.

The Tamil Nadu government had reportedly submitted that the ban on firecrackers has resulted in job loss.

The Supreme Court will hear the matter next on the 3rd of April.

PoK activists condemn Pulwama attack at the UNHRC, blame Pakistan for nurturing terrorists

0

At an event during the 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council on Monday, activists from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) strongly denunciated the ghastly attack in Pulwama that claimed 40 lives of CRPF personnel. They urged Pakistani establishment to dismantle all terror groups operating in PoK and Pakistan.

Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, Chairman of United Kashmir People’s National Party(UKPNP) blamed Pakistan for nurturing terrorists and using them to wage a proxy war against India. He said, “Pakistan’s Army Generals are now overtly asking Kashmiris to stop using weapons and instead go for suicide attacks. Retired Army Generals are doing it. It is an alarming situation as the state runs the risk of being divided into 1000 pieces because of Pakistan sponsored sectarianism and terrorism.”

Another activist M Hassan said, “We have been witnessing these attacks and counter-attacks from last 71 years. One Pulwama attack brought the two nuclear-powered countries on a brink of a full-scale war. The eventuality of the war might be catastrophic for the entire world.” Hassan also added that Pakistan needs to dismantle the terror networks and get rid of the non-state actors that are posing a grave threat not only to the local peace but also to international peace.

Upset over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ remarks, Security Guards Association approaches Mumbai Police

The Security Guards’ Association of Maharashtra, hurt by Rahul Gandhi’s “Chowkidaar Chor Hai” jibe, has requested the Mumbai Police to register a case against the Congress President.

The Maharashtra Rajya Suraksha Rakshak Union submitted an application at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police station in Mumbai on Monday, saying that the remark was an insult to security guards, a police official was quoted as saying.

Union president Sandeep Ghuge said police should register an offence against the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty to stop “such kind of slogans insulting the security guards.” The Union said that Rahul Gandhi had made the remark during a rally at the MMRDA grounds in the city earlier this month.

The Congress President has been making the remark regularly on social media and at his rallies as he continues to lie about the Rafale Deal. Last year in December, some overzealous Congress workers, inspired by their party President, had breached security at the Taj Mahal to raise slogans of “Chowkidar Chor Hai”.

The Congress President isn’t the only one who has been making insensitive remarks involving Chowkidars. On Tuesday, AAP leader Alka Lamba had drawn flak after making racist remarks against Nepali citizens. She had said, “Dear Indians, this time, please elect a Prime Minister. You can get a watchman from Nepal too. Watchmen from Nepal are not thieves.”
