Deccan Chronicle ‘normalises’ paedophilia to defend ‘revolutionary communist leader’

0

Getting attracted to a 12 year old girl is fine, as long as it is a big Communist icon that get’s attracted to the child.

Let that sink in.

No, seriously, this actually appeared in the Deccan Chronicle. One would imagine that the Deccan Chronicle has an editor, a management team, a writing team or at least someone, somewhere around the office to scream out in horror and tell them that it’s a bad idea to say that being attracted to a 12 year old girl doesn’t make you a pedophile.

And yet, this actually appeared in print.

Untitled

Oh thank god that the attraction between the middle aged man and the 12 year old girl was “mutual.” For a moment, I was worried that the 12 year old girl might not have been a consenting adult.

Who in their right mind would actually say something like this? A craven liberal, desperate to defend a fellow communist comrade at any cost, that’s who.

The man they are talking about is comrade A K Gopalan, a legendary leader of the Indian Communists. He served as multiple term member of Parliament from Kannur in Kerala. Heck, the CPI(M) office in Delhi is named “A K Gopalan Bhavan.”

Untitled.png

The matter of A K Gopalan came up when a Congress MLA from Kerala by the name of V T Balaram made a Facebook post accusing A K Gopalan of pedophilia. As is their wont, the Communists countered his speech by throwing stones.

As you can read in this old report from The Hindu, it was on September 10, 1952 that A K Gopalan, then 48 years old, decided to marry Susheela, who was then 22 years old. As the Hindu report mentions, the “love story” had lasted for a decade.

Subtract 10 from 22 and you get 12.

And that is how we ended up with some liberal at Deccan Chronicle stuck with the unenviable task of explaining how a 38 year old man getting attracted to a 12 year old girl is not pedophilia.

Anything to defend a Communist, even pedophilia can be explained away.

This brings to my mind another recent event where a liberal mother boasted publicly about showing Hardik Patel’s sex tape to her 12 year old daughter.

Untitled.png

And the Outlook allowed her to publish it. Again, the Outlook presumably has an editorial team and a management team and nobody at any stage objected to this.

Let that sink in.

Yes, an adult showing sex tapes to 12 year old girls is okay, as long as it’s a sex tape of great leader Hardik Patel. An adult male getting attracted to a 12 year old girl is also okay, as long as the 38 year old man happens to be a Communist icon.

Have you ever wondered how impostors like Baba Ram Rahim and his organization manage to brainwash people into accepting rampant sexual abuse? Have you ever wondered what kind of fool would fall for this stuff?

Have you ever wondered if “educated” people could fall for frauds of this sort?

You are seeing the same level of brainwashing here. And the brainwashed ones here are not those with little education and opportunities in some remote village. The brainwashed ones here, those supporting their “great leaders” getting attracted to minors and showing sex tapes of their “great leaders” to their 12 year old children are your educated liberals who probably went to good colleges and write for some of the biggest newspapers and magazines in the country.

Let that sink in.

Twitter user busts Chidambaram’s efforts to discredit India’s military action in Kashmir

0

Former Home Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, recently decided to take to twitter to claim that the hard-line approach taken by the Modi government, when it comes to terror in Kashmir has not really worked out:

Chidambaram tried to insinuate that the ‘high handed approach’ against the terror establishment in Kashmir has failed to eliminate infiltration and militancy. One instance he provided to prove his narrative was the attack on CRPF Training Centre in Pulwama which resulted in the deaths of five CRPF personnel.

The table provided by Chidambaram also possibly tried to highlight the rising civilian deaths in 2017 and a continually high death toll of Security forces since the Modi government came to power.

Thus according to him, the key to the Kashmir problem lies in finding a political solution to the problem:

He thereby decided to also partially support the appointment of Dineshwar Sharma as Special Representative (SR) who is acting as the interlocutor in the valley.

This ‘denunciation’ of a hard-line approach to terror in the valley was subsequently called out by a twitter user operating the @srirambjp twitter handle.

As per Sriram, Chidambaram’s analysis was sloppy and take-down reeked of an agenda, he thus announced that he would be busting those claims:

He as a result decided to compare the Modi government’s data provided by Chidambaram to that of the one during the UPA era:

Image via @srirambjp

As seen from the above figure, even though the Modi government has gone very strong against terror (by Chidambaram’s own admission), the number of civilians killed during Modi government’s tenure of 2014-17, was still lower than the corresponding period of 2010-13 when the UPA government was in power.

Even though the civilian deaths during the Modi government were less than the corresponding UPA period, the number of terrorist killed were 125 more and stood at 574. Hence the data in totality busts Chidambaram’s claim that an assault on terror leads to more casualties on our side.

He also accused Chidambaram of being selective in putting out the data as the Modi government had to deal with a higher number of cross border violations by Pakistan, even after which the civilian casualty ranked lower:

Sriram also pointed out how the security forces have been successful in eliminating the top leadership of terror groups functioning in Kashmir.

During the course of the debate, he also highlighted the controversial positions taken by Chidambaram on Kashmir like wanting to remove AFSPA and calling for ‘greater autonomy’ for Kashmir (to name a few), which might lead a few to question whether Chidambaram has the best Indian interests in his mind when he talks about this issue?

The argument was concluded by Sriram on a positive note by highlighting the security forces’ success in eliminating two terrorists:

This approach by Chidambaram raises the question whether he was merely virtue signalling over the Kashmir issue by furthering the ‘peace and reconciliation’ narrative, or whether discrediting the military efforts in Kashmir was his way of discrediting the Modi government thereby compromising security for political ends?

Patiala House Court issues summons to Rifat Jawaid, editor pro-AAP blog Janta Ka Reporter

0

In a defamation notice slapped by BJP spokesperson Tajinder Bagga against Aam Aadmi Party leaning blog Janta Ka Reporter, the Patiala House Court has issued summons to Rifat Jawaid.

Bagga has filed a complaint against Rifat Jawaid, editor of AAP propaganda website Janta Ka Reporter, accusing Jawaid of posting a derogatory, concocted and defamatory tweet against Bagga. In a tweet posted on 23rd December, Jawaid called Bagga ‘molester and illiterate troll’.

Jawaid was responding to a tweet by Bagga where Bagga was mocking Jawaid as Janta Ka Reporter, the pro AAP website, had tweeted that Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was convicted in the fodder scam, was acquitted.

Bagga had mocked Jawaid for being in a rush to acquit Lalu.

This led to Jawaid losing all sense of public decorum and took personal potshots at Bagga and called him a ‘roadside and illiterate troll’.

Following this altercation, Bagga asked whether Jawaid would use such derogatory terms for his father for pointing out his mistakes. Jawaid, in return, stood by his words and said that he would henceforth refer to Bagga as a molester and a criminal.

Accusing Jawaid of tarnishing his image, Bagga filed a complaint to Delhi Police Cyber Cell against Jawaid to file an FIR (first information report). A criminal defamation case has also been filed which has been listed in last week of January.

RBI refutes media reports, says not connected to research paper that raised question over Aadhaar security

0

Since a few days, certain reports in the media have claimed that a research paper backed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has shorted Aadhaar’s security credentials by claiming that its database is open to attack from cyber criminals.

One such media report was carried by leftists propaganda blog Scroll, which in its headline, termed the Aadhaar database as a single target for cyber criminals. As per the report, a think tank affiliated with the RBI had highlighted Aadhaar’s security concerns and its authentication quality. Apart from this, the paper also appeared to have claimed that Aadhaar has ‘unclear financial benefits’.

Predictably such sensational damnation of the Aadhaar resulted in quite a flutter, which was intensified when it appeared that someone associated with the RBI had made such claims. Those outraging included prominent AAP supporters and journalists:

As a result of the whole commotion, the RBI has now come up with a clarification of sorts.

As per reports, the RBI has now claimed that neither RBI nor any of its researchers were connected with the study and the author S Ananth is not a regular faculty of IDRBT. RBI has also claimed that Ananth’s assertions do not represent the views of either IDRBT or RBI.

What is notable, is that after splashing this news on the front pages, Times Of India buried the clarification issued by RBI on the 10th page, as observed by Sunil Jain, Managing Editor of Financial Express.

These ‘findings’, which the RBI has now distanced itself from, were published in an October 2017 paper [PDF] by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), which is affiliated to the RBI.

One of the authors of the paper was Dr. S Ananth who is an adjunct faculty with that institute, who seems to have made the more sensational claims regarding privacy and cyber-security.

As seen above, Ananth claimed that Aadhaar has resulted in becoming a readily available single target for cyber criminals and India’s external enemies. He further claimed that, such attack on Aadhaar data might cripple Indian businesses and the loss to the economy as a result would be incalculable:

He also proceeded to raise serious privacy concerns related to the Aadhaar like, involvement of foreign private service provides in developing an Aadhaar based ecosystem:

The clarification, that comes after these “findings” were published in Main Stream Media as that of the RBI, has been via a statement by both the IDRBT and the RBI. It remains to be seen whether either parties would now come up with a counter of sorts to Ananth’s claims which might assuage the fears of various Indian citizens regarding the matter.

BSP’s new Aligarh Mayor does not know India’s National Anthem

0

Aligarh’s new mayor, Mohammad Furkan, says while he respects the national anthem, he does not remember it completely. During an interaction with media persons after taking over as city mayor, a journalist asked him to recite the national anthem. To which, Furkan said he does not remember it completely, but knows it in bits.

He further said that even though he doesn’t know the National Anthem, he hears it every day, respects it and stands for it. This comes weeks after the BSP corporators in Aligarh took their oath in Urdu which resulted in a scuffle. Furkan is also the same person who had refused to sing the national song. While many media outlets published the story, the story published by The Indian Express has mysteriously vanished. The cache could be found here.

Earlier, in 2017, another BSP leader, Sunita Verma, who is also a mayor in Meerut, allegedly kept sitting while the national song was being played at an official ceremony. Harikant Ahluwalia, the previous mayor, had made singing the national song, while standing, at Meerut Municipality Corporation meetings compulsory.

In the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh civic polls, the BJP won in 14 out of 16 Municipal corporations across the state. The remaining two namely Meerut and Aligarh were won by the BSP.

Karan Johar announces ‘Kesari’, Twitter users aren’t amused. Read why:

0

Filmmaker Karan Johar today announced his upcoming film ‘Kesari’ on Twitter along with the name of the leading lady in the film, Parineeti Chopra. However, there was a little glitch.

The announcement had an image of Akshay Kumar, the leading actor, instead of Parineeti Chopra, whose name featured in the announcement. Of course, Twitterati came up with their creative best to point out the obvious flaw in Johar’s announcement.

At a time when Bollywood is trying to fight allegations of nepotism and not having women centric roles for actresses, this tweet by Johar just proves a point that Bollywood still has a long way to go. Hopefully, the film will have more of Parineeti than what the poster did.

IT officials raid 130 premises of prominent jewellery chains to check tax evasion post demonetisation

0

The Income Tax department on Wednesday conducted nation wide searches on 130 premises of prominent southern jewellery chain Joyalukkas, and a firm connected with it. Apart from it, reports claim that showrooms of another Kerala based jewellery chain were raided by the IT officials. The raids were both carried out in showrooms and other premises of these jewellery chains.

These 130 premises were raided in prominent cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Thrissur and encompassed states like Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi and West Bengal.

The reason for this raid is speculated to be an effort to uncover alleged tax evasion post demonetisation.

During the raids the shops were shut and the staff wasn’t allowed inside the showrooms. The report claimed that, the raid focused on allegations of the firms suppressing sales and large scale cash deposits.

Joyalukkas was also in trouble in January, 2017 when it was found the jewellery chain hadn’t paid the mandatory 1% central excise duty for about Rs 1,500 crore worth of gold jewellery sold. The evasion amounted to about Rs 16 crores.

This raid by Income Tax official comes after a series of measures the department has taken post demonetisation.

It was reported that the Income Tax Department had slapped notices on 1.16 lakh individuals and firms, who made cash deposits of more than Rs 25 lakh in bank accounts post note ban but failed to file returns by the due date.

IT Department had also issued detailed guidelines to tax officers, which are to be considered while ordering scrutiny assessments pertaining to filing of revised/belated returns by assessees, post-demonetisation period.

In the form of a tangible return, the war on black money has resulted in a 22% jump on the number of people paying their income tax. What makes this jump more substantial is the fact that these taxpayers account for just 3% of the Indian population.

0

(15) Request for Debit Cards – Rs. 25/- per request (Auto Debit).
(16) Stop Payment Instruction – NO Charges.
(17) Standing Instruction – NO Charges.

Is this viral message accurate? Today, the Secretary Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, tweeted a press release issued by the Indian Bank’s Association, which denied the existence of any such blanket proposal:

The press release clearly states that there is no such proposal for blanket removal of free services by public sector banks, and neither is such a move being contemplated. It also clarifies that there is no fresh RBI instruction or guideline towards the same. However, the release also says that banks can constantly revise their charges looking at their commercial operational costs.

While the release states that there is no blanket increase across all public sector banks, it appears that at least one bank has proposed almost exactly what is said in the viral message. Bank of India has uploaded a schedule of proposed service charges on its website, which it says will be applicable from 20.01.2018, which are identical to those in the message.

It appears that this viral rumour as germinated from the proposed charges of Bank of India, and as the case with all rumours, it has expanded beyond proportion, dragging in all public sector banks. For the time being, at least a few things are clear:

1. The message is based on the proposed service charges of only Bank of India

2. The Bank’s association has clarified that this is not a proposal which affects all public sector banks

3. Hikes in service charges cannot be ruled out in future, since every bank can decide for itself, just as Bank of India has decided.

After ‘hacking’ toy EVM in Delhi Assembly, this AAP MLA blames ‘intoxication’ for death of homeless

0

After despicable statements by AAP Rajya Sabha nominee Sanjay Singh, where he shrugged off the responsibilities of death of over 100 homeless people in the bitter cold fn Delhi, AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj has taken the baton further by blaming ‘intoxication’ for the death of the homeless. It takes a tremendous amount of insensitivity to say something like this when death is staring in the face of their inefficiency.

Defending Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government, Bhardwaj said that this year, the Delhi government has faired better than previous year in terms of providing shelter to homeless. He said to associate the deaths in Delhi to cold would be wrong since maximum deaths of the homeless is reported in the month of June and July. AAP leader Atishi Marlena who is also adviser to deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia also had similar views.

Bhardwaj further said that these deaths have occurred not due to cold or hot weather, but due to ‘intoxication’. He demanded a postmortem of such deaths should be undertaken, cost of which would be borne by the Delhi government. As per the report in Aaj Tak, Bhardwaj said that if the deaths took place due to overdose, investigation should be done on where such drugs are procured from.

This outrageous statement comes days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed the LG for appointing a ‘useless’ officer as CEO of DUSIB (Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board) while conveniently forgetting as chief minister, he is the chairperson of the said Board.

Politics aside, the coldheartedness of Aam Aadmi Party leaders in this bitter cold is shocking.

Fight breaks out after CPM workers hurl stones and rotten eggs at Congress leader in Kerala

0

A fight broke out between Congress and CPM workers in Kuttanad, Kerala after the communists threw stones and rotten eggs on senior Congress leader cum MLA V.T. Balram. This action of the CPM workers was a result of his ‘unsavoury’ comments against deceased communist ‘icon’ A.K. Gopalan.

We had reported that Balram, in a Facebook post had insinuated that ‘revolutionary’ A.K. Gopalan, the first leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha in 1952, was a paedophile. In the post, Balram questioned Gopalan’s character for marrying a 22 year old Susheela in 1940s, after being in love with her for over a decade. It was also reported that Gopalan was still married to his first wife while he tied the knot with Susheela.

These remarks by Balram clearly angered the leftists, who on Wednesday decided to disrupt a private meeting (an inauguration of a private laboratory clinic), being attended by him in Kanjirathani, which falls under Thrithala Assembly Constituency.

Congress workers who had rushed to protect their MLA, tried to prevent this onslaught by the CPM workers, as a result of which large-scale violence broke out. During this commotion, stones and rotten eggs were hurled at Balram, despite which he decided to attend the inauguration under heavy police cover. He later confirmed the attack by informing media-persons that a rotten egg had hit his right cheek.

The stone pelting resulted in Balram sustaining a minor injury on his forehead after which he was taken to a nearby hospital in Edappal. Damage was also done to his car.

As the Congress MLA managed to successfully attend the event, the Congress workers decided to celebrate it by bursting firecrackers, which also angered the CPM workers. Clashes kept on happening for about an hour after the MLA had left the scene.

The police in order to restore control, resorted to lathicharge, which caused injuries to over 30 people. A police constable also sustained serious injuries after Congress workers decided to retaliate against this police action.

As a result of this incident, the congress-led United democratic front (UDF), has called for a bandh in the Thrithala Assembly constituency on Thursday. Former Kerala Chief Minister and Congress leader Oommen Chandy, who is embroiled in the solar scam, slammed the CPM for this incident and claimed that it reveals the fascist nature of the CPM.
