On 14th February 1998, Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani was scheduled to address a rally at RS Puram in Coimbatore. Before he could reach the venue, bombs went off in several parts of the city. The bombs were concealed in cars, motorcycles, bicycles, side boxes of two-wheelers, denim and rexine bags, and fruit carts. SA Basha was the prime accused in the case.

While the police are investigating whether Sheikh Ataul was involved in any criminal activities, he has reportedly told the police that he kept the weapons for his safety and to scare people.

On the 16th of December,  journalist Swati Goel Sharma published a thread on X, wherein she divulged the findings of her ground investigation from the Sewa Nagar colony in Ghaziabad. In a video shared by Sharma, one of the accused Ravi was seen trying to defend himself by saying his government document is proof that he is still a Hindu and was not involved in conversion activities.

The shooter has been identified as 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, alias Samantha. She reportedly opened fire inside the school, killing a teenager and a teacher. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the shooter dead. Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes indicated in a statement that the shooter most likely died by suicide. Police did not fire their weapons at the crime scene.

Both Sunil and Rajat have reportedly confessed to accepting a ₹30 lakh contract to kill Mohini Tomar. The contract was given by advocate Mustafa Kamil and his sons.
