Singh committed the murder of three individuals, including a woman, at three different locations over a span of 48 hours.

Ajay Patel had returned from Ludhiana on 6th May. Police recovered blood stains, rope pieces, slippers and a mobile phone while Aslam Mian remains absconding with other accused.

The case began after a Dalit woman accused Danish Sheikh of rape, harassment and forced conversion. Nine FIRs were filed, several accused were arrested, and TCS suspended all nine accused.

Members of the Hindu Raksha Dal claimed they received information about the incident and later checked the CCTV footage themselves.

They were rescued in January during a large international operation and brought back to India.

The investigation has now expanded to Bihar as well. In a late-night operation in Buxar, a Bengal Police team detained a man identified as Vishal, who is said to be a history-sheeter with a long criminal background.

During the interrogation of the now-arrested TMC leaders, Sariul and Yusuf, the NIA seized their mobile phones.  The arrested duo was brought to Kolkata on Saturday.  Sariul (some reports say Sadiul) Sheikh, a resident of Sultanganj under Kaliachak police station.
