Delhi: Multiple shots fired outside Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa’s gym, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility

Two unidentified bike-borne men in the wee hours of Thursday (11th June) fired multiple rounds at the gym of popular Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa located in Paschim Vihar, Delhi. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility for the attack through a post on social media post.

According to the Delhi Police, teams of police rushed to the spot after receiving the information about the firing. No one was injured in the firing.

As per reports, a resident of Delhi runs the gym as part of Guru Randhawa’s ’24HS Fitness’ franchise. Police have called the owner to inquire about the firing incident. Investigators said that seven shots were fired at the gym. The incident came to light when a gym staff member arrived at the premises of the gym about an hour later and informed the police.

“Today, early morning, a PCR call was received at PS Paschim Vihar East regarding a firing incident at “24 Hs fitness”Gym, Pushkar Enclave, Paschim Vihar. On initial verification, it has been confirmed that a few rounds were fired at the Gym glass by two unknown bike-born persons, who had covered their faces with a cloth,” the Delhi Police said.

Soon after the attack, a post was made on social media by the Anil Pandit faction of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claiming responsibility for the attack. The post reportedly cited Guru Randhawa’s growing closeness to Bollywood actor Salman Khan as the reason behind the attack.

The police are verifying the authenticity of the post, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident. Forensic teams have examined the crime scene and collected evidence. The police are examining the CCTV footage to identify the attackers.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been the target of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang since 1998, when the actor, along with his co-actors, allegedly hunted two blackbucks that the Bishnoi community considers sacred.
