A Canada-based social media influencer of Indian origin, Nancy Grewal, who openly criticised the Khalistani movement, was brutally stabbed to death in her house in Ontario, Canada, around 9:30 pm on Tuesday (March 3, 2026, local time).
According to the LaSalle Police Service, officers and paramedics responded to a stabbing report a little before 9:30 pm (local time) in the 2400 block of Todd Lane. When they arrived at the scene, they found 45-year-old Grewal with stab wounds. She was rushed to the hospital by members of the Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services. However, she succumbed to her injuries. The police said that an investigation is going on in the case.

The police cordoned off two homes between Canada Street and Bishop Street on Todd Lane on Wednesday morning. Police officials marked several pieces of evidence, including those along a concrete path as well as up the stairs leading to the front door of one of the houses.
“The LaSalle Police Service continues to investigate a homicide that occurred on Todd Lane just before 9:30 p.m. on March 3, 2026. The victim is Nancy Grewal, 45, of Windsor. The LaSalle Police Service offers our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ms Grewal,” LaSalle Police Service reportedly wrote in a Facebook post.

Notably, Grewwal was active on social media and openly criticised the Khalisatni movement. She also expressed her views against pro-Khalistani jailed Indian MP Amritpal Singh, Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia and Gurinder Singh Dhillon of Dera Beas. She had also condemned the killing of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, known as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, in Bathinda last year.
