A disturbing incident has emerged concerning the rape of an 80-year-old woman in Hathras of Uttar Pradesh. Unfortunately, she has passed away after 35 days of medical treatment. The accused has been identified as Salman, who assaulted the victim when she was alone at her residence on the night of 31st May. He has been arrested by the authorities and thrown behind bars.
He lives in the same neighbourhood as her. The horrific event was uncovered by locals the following morning when they found the elderly woman in a dire condition inside her home, as the door had been left open. She was able to share her harrowing experience after much struggle. The perpetrator had escaped the scene, leaving her in an unconscious state. She had already lost a significant amount of blood by the time she was transported to the hospital.
She was subsequently transferred to a medical college hospital, where she fought for her life for more than a month. The police are now awaiting the post-mortem report to initiate further strict legal proceedings in light of the woman’s passing.
