US has acknowledged attacking the three commercial vessels that had Indian crew, indirectly admitting to killing three Indian sailors in the MT Settebello. However, the claims made by Trump that Iran sent attack drones at Indian ships transiting Hormuz have been made after India's strong diplomatic response against the US over the deaths of Indian crew.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei described the reports about the agreement as  "speculative".

According to Israeli authorities, at least 10 missiles were fired in four separate barrages. The missile launches came hours after a deadly Israeli airstrike in Beirut that targeted Hezbollah, the Iran-backed group based in Lebanon.

During the interview, Trump was also questioned over 6th January accused and his proposed anti-weaponisation fund, before he accused the press of dishonesty and said he had “had enough”.
