The Congress-led UDF government in Kerala has presented the report as evidence of financial mismanagement under the previous LDF administration. Similar explanations have been offered by Congress governments in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh after assuming power.

The Sanjauli Mosque was illegal since its construction. Walking through the streets, one sees almost only Hindus going about their daily work, and rarely a Muslim. Yet, a mosque was built in this small area. It serves a specific purpose. Rohingyas and Bangladeshis have also reached here.
