The AIMIM has formally denied any alliance with suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir, who plans to launch a new party. Spokesperson Syed Asim Waqar stated Kabir is too closely connected to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. Owaisi's party emphasized it cannot partner with anyone whose actions threaten harmony, rejecting Kabir's proposal as "politically questionable."
A video from a mosque event in Murshidabad, led by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir, went viral after a man threatened to "cut off heads and play football" with opponents. BJP's Amit Malviya attacked the Mamata government, calling the threat "state-sponsored fundamentalism."
Kabir had responded to a show-cause notice that was issued by the ECI on 10th May this year. He alleged that his comments were taken in isolation and presented as a threat.
