At least three senior Congressmen have expressed dissatisfaction with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for unilaterally selecting candidates in Bihar

It was reported in January 2023 that Santiago Martin’s son-in-law Aadhav Arjuna was roped in by the DMK as the chief election strategist of the party in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP-led NDA will collectively secure 48% votes which are nearly half of the total votes cast, the mega poll has predicted.

The Congress will contest in 24 out of the total 26 seats in Gujarat. The remaining two seats will see AAP candidates, Bharuch and Bhavnagar

In the meantime, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh claimed, "Heated discussions keep taking place between the two parties but we respect Mamata Banerjee.”

Ahmed Patel was a senior Congress leader from Gujarat, and Bharuch was his stronghold. He was a long-term Gandhi family loyalist.

While discussing Mamata Banerjee’s recent announcement snapping ties with the I.N.D.I. bloc and attacking Congress, Ajit Anjum asked what went wrong between TMC and Congress. He also claimed that Mamata Banerjee's scathing attack on the Congress party seemed more like a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.

Mamata Banerjee said, "I had promised to give you 2 seats (in Bengal). I had assured to make you win in those constituencies.. But you said that 2 seats are not enough. Do you want us to give you all 42 seats in Bengal?"
