The I.N.D.I. alliance partners including DMK, TMC, NCP, JDU-RJD, and CPI(M) as well as all Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states have signed agreements with the Adani group in their respective states. Rahul Gandhi has been targeting the same company with baseless allegations.
Abhishek Banerjee tweeted, "Despite contesting NCHAC elections for the first time the Assam unit of the TMC managed a higher vote share than INC – the primary opposition."
NCP president Sharad Pawar said that all the members of the opposition's INDIA bloc agreed to the proposal that it should be headed by Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, State Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa and the Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Karan Adani were present at the signing of the MoUs, along with Cabinet Ministers and Secretaries of various government departments.
RJD and JD(U) – the ruling parties in Bihar were reportedly miffed when some alliance partners proposed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s name as the suitable candidate for Prime Minister from the alliance.
"In Kerala, the Congress is clearly with the RSS and the BJP against the CPI(M). At the national level, they talk about fighting against Modi, but in Kerala, where there is a government with alternative policies and a pro-people stance, the Congress cannot tolerate it," she said.
