Illegal immigrants from Punjab deported by the US paid around ₹34 lakh on average to agents to enter the country through donkey routes

A PIL was filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking action against the fake travel agents involved in smuggling people to foreign countries through donkey routes. The HC directed the state and the central government to respond within 30 days.
