The JNU admin approached the Delhi High Court seeking contempt action against its "students" and the Delhi Police for violating August 2017 court order
The JNUSU President has requested the Joint Secretary of the Human Resource Development Ministry, GC Hosur, to ensure that no administrative action is taken against students for carrying out the protests.
The educational institutions which are considered be second-tier also charge students multiple times higher amount compare to what was proposed in JNU.
For the past few weeks, the JNUSU has been in loggerheads with the university administration over the draft hostel manual which mentions an increase in fees along with other changes in rules.
