Biotechnology student Pratik Bhardwaj was attacked inside the campus and hospitalised, while another student was surrounded by a large mob. ABVP criticised Delhi Police and JNU security for failing to prevent the escalation.
Moreover, "Brahmanwad se azadi" (freedom from Brahminism) and "Free Palestine" slogans were also raised amidst the sounds of trumpets and Dhols at JNU.
The slogans read “Brahmin-Baniya, we are coming for you”, “We will avenge”, “Brahmins Leave the campus”, “Brahmins leave India”, “Now there will be blood”, and “Go back to Sakha” among others.
