Singh left his home on 19th April and was untraceable throughout the day. The distress led to a missing person complaint, eventually leading the police to the crime scene. His motorcycle was also recovered from the scene. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bachan Deo Kujur, said that the matter is under investigation.

On !st April, Islamist fundamentalists attacked Sarna tribals during their Sarhul (Spring) festival in Pithauryia, adjacent to Jharkhand's capital Ranchi. The injured in the attack have been admitted to the hospital.
It must be recalled that until 2015, around 106 districts were marked naxal-affected. By 2024, this number came down to 38 and now to 18. Of these, 12 were most naxal-affected, however, this number has further dropped to just 6.
A senior official told OpIndia that though reports of stone pelting were received, the veracity of the claims are being investigated. Further information about the incident will be released through official channels once the investigation is over.
During the meeting, Police Station Incharge Ranjay Kumar said that DJ should not be played at any cost by Hindus in the Ram Navami procession. If DJ is played, not only the DJ will be confiscated, but action will also be taken against the members of the committee. He said that the procession of the village will be taken through the same route which it used to take earlier.
An argument broke out between the mob and members of the procession, which quickly escalated, leading to the stone pelting incident. Members of the Hindu community also resorted to stone pelting in retaliation. Nearby shops were vandalised during the incident and the Eid Market was temporarily shut.
At least three shops, one four-wheeler, and seven bikes were torched during the clashes in Jharkhand's Giridih. One of the bikes torched during the clash belonged to a local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.
According to CAG report on Jharkhand govt, 5209 utilization certificates were not submitted by the bodies and authorities against an amount of ₹19,125.88 crore
