An Aligarh family allegedly filed 15 fake SC/ST cases in a decade to pocket ₹46 lakh, prompting NCW to demand strict action.

A two-member inquiry committee constituted by the National Commission for Women (NCW) investigated the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata and submitted its preliminary findings uncovering lapses in security, infrastructure, and investigation.
