As per the NIA, Rasiuddin is a resident of Mohanpur village in the Vaishnavnagar police station precinct in the Malda district of West Bengal. The probe agency added that Rasiuddin is the fifth convict in the fake currency notes case.

After the arrests, NIA jointly interrogated all three of them for hours. Later, the NIA team brought Yakub and Shahid Raza along with them to Patna, however, they released Kaif after questioning him. 

Islam Chowdhury was arrested after the NIA conducted a raid in West Bengal's Birbhum district. The raid was based on information obtained from another arrested TMC leader, Manoj Ghosh.

NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet against four persons against 4 PFI members for anti-national activities.
