On 9th August, CM Pushkar Dhami announced a compensation package of ₹5 lakh per affected family. On X (formerly Twitter), he assured that compensation would be provided to the affected and that the administration had already begun evaluating the damage to homes, agricultural lands, and other belongings.

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered a statewide crackdown on imposters posing as Hindu saints as part of Operation Kalanemi.

Speaking to journalist Aditi Tyagi, a Muslim cleric claimed that UCC has been brought to end the supposed status. The Maulana expressed his discontent over the provision in UCC which bans marriages among cousins. The Muslim cleric asserted that cousin marriages are common among the Muslim community and permitted in Shariah.

This Act does not apply to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) notified under Article 342 and Article 366 (25) of the Constitution and protected authority-empowered persons and communities under Part XXI have also been excluded from its purview.

"From April to November 2024, the state earned a revenue of Rs 650 crore, which is 100 per cent more than the Rs 324.81 crore of the previous year," it said.

Amid reports of demographic changes in various areas of Uttarakhand, the government of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has started taking action. The police have started a 'verification campaign' to verify the people living in the state.
