Speaking at a public rally in Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi escalated caste rhetorics, claiming that there are two types of Jawans in the Indian Army, one belonging to the poor, OBC, Dalit sections, and the other, rich.

Refering to Rahul Gandhi as Shehzada, PM Modi insisted, "Shehzada ye ghoshit karein ki Ambani-Adani se kitna maal uthaya hai."

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a former Congress party member, said Rahul Gandhi plans to overturn the Ram Mandir verdict.

Congress has long tried to fashion Rahul Gandhi as a sports enthusiast, seemingly in an attempt to brand their middle-aged scion as a youth icon.

In the closure report, the police asserted that Rohith Vemula, the PhD scholar at the University of Hyderabad who died by suicide, did not belong to the Scheduled Caste category. The police said Rohith Vemula died by suicide fearing that his real caste identity would be discovered.
