A pastor in UP's Bareilly was arrested for brainwashing and manipulating Hindus into embracing Christianity.

Hapur Police stated that it has filed a case against the accused under IPC sections 328, 376, 506, and 420.

The girl was distributing books titled,  'Pavitra Shashtra, Bhajan Sanhita, and Niti Vachan’, one of the teachers of the school revealed that it glorifies Jesus Christ and promotes Christianity.

Allahabad High Court stated that the right to freedom of religion does not imply a right to convert other citizens.

The Jharkhand High Court ordered the chief secretary to also intervene in the matter and coordinate with the DCs.

Allahabad High Court noted, “If this process is allowed to be carried out, the majority population of this country would be in minority one day, and such religious congregation should be immediately stopped where the conversion is taking place and changing the religion of citizen of India.”
