The Superintendent of Police (Purba Medinipur) Soumyadip Bhattacharya has made it clear that the NIA team first came to the Bhupatinagar police station while Mamata Banerjee alleged that the central agency officials did not bother to inform the local police.

While speaking about the matter to ABP Ananda, BJP spokesperson Dhruba Saha said, "It is true that every village of West Bengal has now become Sandeshkhali."

The anti-terror probe agency NIA asserted that the attack on its team by an unruly mob in Bengal was completely “unprovoked”.

In a video shared by BJP leader Locket Chatterjee, people were seen gathering around her vehicle and hitting it with their hands.

"Tell me who orchestrated the attack? The women in the village did not carry out the attack. The NIA engineered it," Mamata Banerjee brazened out.

In a video of the incident that was widely shared on social media, locals were purportedly seen gathering around a vehicle, trying to stop the NIA team from taking the suspect along with them.

The first FIR against Future Gaming and Hotel Services was registered at the Bhowanipore Police Station in June 2019.
