A mob of about 300-400 people came on roads and it is reported they beat up people who were driving past. The mob then also broke the idol of Sai Baba in nearby temple.

The women with fake Aadhaar Cards were arrested and sent to Vadodara’s Women Protection Centre. On Tuesday, at around 2:45 am, the ladies attempted to jump over the Centre's wall and escape from the reform home.

In the FIR it was stated that the girls staying at the shelter home were forced to read Christian scriptures and attend Christian prayers.
