In a shocking video that has gone viral in Jammu and Kashmir, a teacher is seen holding a child down forcefully and placing an axe on his neck, threatening to slaughter him.

As per reports, the incident took place in Bright Future Education Institute in Waghat village, Handwara region. Handwara police have taken cognisance of the issue and have registered an FIR against the teacher. The police are also questioning people with knowledge of the incident. Legal action has been initiated against the culprit.
As per reports, the child being terrorised in the video is ten years old. Other students in the room watch helplessly as the child is held down and is threatened with an axe. The teacher was allegedly threatening the child in order to ‘improve his behaviour’.
A police spokesman has informed that an FIR, with serial number 167/2019 has been registered at the Handwara police station under relevant sections of law.
The horrific video has generated outrage over social media and people are condemning the extremely violent behaviour of the teacher.
