A video of a Muslim man making disparaging comments on Hindu deities and religious places during an orchestra program in the Mubarakpur police station area of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh has sparked outrage. The person deriding Hindu deities is said to be the owner of “Langda Group Orchestra”.

In addition to making derogatory comments about Hindu deities, the Muslim man also made obscene gestures on the stage. However, an elderly man protested against it by abusing the accused man in anger.
After the video went viral, BJP leaders filed a complaint in Mubarakpur police station calling it an insult to Hinduism. They demanded strict action by registering a case against the accused.
Meanwhile, the local BJP leaders alleged despite the complaint lodged at the police station, no case has been registered against the accused till now. They called the alleged police inaction unfortunate and insulting and demanded immediate legal action from the police station in charge.

In response to an X user demanding action against the person insulting Hindu deities and religious places, Azamgarh Police said, “Police station in-charge Mubarakpur has been directed to investigate and take necessary action.”
