Fact-checker Vijay Gajera announces quitting social media activism and closure of his fact-checking website ‘Only Fact India’

Vijay Gajera, also known as Vijay Patel, has declared his intention to shut down his fact-checking website ‘Only Fact India’ after almost five years of operation. He has also decided to leave social media altogether. He shared the same on X on 6th April (Monday).

“Hello, friends. I am leaving this platform permanently and will also close down our fact-checking non-profit ‘Only Fact India’ from next month,” the handle Office of Vijay Patel stated.

“It’s extremely painful for me to leave you all after spending almost 5 years. With your help, I was able to expose foreign funding, leftist, and Islamist cartels. I never imagined situations like this, but my team and I lost to the powerful ecosystem,” Patel mentioned. “While our judiciary is protecting people who have mocked our army, they have silenced us for exposing people who have mocked our army. I think we, common people, don’t have access to the judiciary as the elites have,” he added.

Patel asserted to have busted 439 false reports during the past three months and wrote that he allocated his savings to compensate his employees for their work as salaries. He noted that a few individuals have consistently backed him, however, this support was insufficient, leaving him with no alternative but to cease their operations.

Patel expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him and his team during challenging times. “I was able to expose powerful people and the ecosystem because of your support, but I lost against the ecosystem. Congratulations, Malabar, and the ecosystem. You guys just won! Goodbye to all. Har Har Mahadev,” he concluded.

It is notable that Vijay Patel alias Vijay Gajera was sued by Malabar Gold and Diamonds over a civil defamation lawsuit where he was made to take down his posts against them after a court injunction. His original X handle @vijaygajera was withheld in India because of the same legal suit.
