After Donald Trump and his son, Ivanka Trump shares Indian memes to appreciate the warmth of Indians

Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump, recently accompanied her father during his official visit to India. While her father was elated with the hospitality of the Indian people, it appears Ivanka enjoyed her stay in the country as well. Displaying her father’s affinity towards humour, Ivanka shared photoshopped images of herself created by overenthusiastic Indians on Twitter.

Quoting a tweet that shared the photoshopped images, Ivanka said, “I appreciate the warmth of the Indian people. …I made many new friends!!!” One of the images showed Ivanka Trump on a bicycle with an overenthusiastic fan.

A second image showed Ivanka Trump in front of the Taj Mahal with Manoj Bajpai’s character from the movie Gangs of Wasseypur staring down at her.

The third image showed Ivanka Trump with some overenthusiastic fan at the Taj Mahal, which she had visited during her trip to India.

The said images were shared by a journalist in response to a photoshopped image shared by singer Diljit Dosanjh in jest.

Ivanka shared the tweet of Diljit also, joining him in the fun and thanking him for ‘taking her to see the Tajmahal’. “It was an experience I will never forget”, she tweeted.

Ivanka’s illustrious father, Donald Trump, is extremely fond of memes as well and is known to poke fun at others and share memes on the social media platform. Ahead of his visit to India, Donald Trump shared a spoof video of the movie Bahubali where his face was superimposed on the face of the lead. The US President’s son, Donald Trump Jr. had also celebrated his father’s exoneration in the impeachment trial by sharing a spoof video of the song Malhari from the movie Bajirao Mastani with Donald Trump’s face superimposed on Ranveer Singh’s face.

Ground report on Delhi Anti-Hindu Riots: A Wandering Father and a Weeping Mother wait for missing 15-year-old Dharmendra for 7 days

The fire of anti-Hindu riots in the name of anti-CAA protests in Delhi has cooled on the seventh day, but the victims of this violence will continue to shed tears for many months and years to come. Some are shedding tears waiting to have the last darshan of their dear ones, while some are in pain because they don’t yet have an idea about the whereabouts of their family. There is a similar story of Dharmendra Varma who disappeared in the midst of anti-Hindu riots. For seven days Dharmendra’s family members have been in terrible condition waiting for him.

Seven days after the anti-Hindu riots started from Chand Bagh in Delhi, an OpIndia team reached Brijpuri, to meet the riot victims. Some Hindu victims have locked their homes and left, while the remaining Hindu victims have been imprisoned in their homes for the last seven days. Something similar was seen in Dharmendra’s locality.

There was silence in the streets of this Hindu-dominated area. Some people were seen coming out of the houses due to some necessary work. We reached Dharmendra Varma’s house by making inquiries. After calling them from the door some members of the family peeped down one after the other, so we introduced ourselves to them and told about our desire to talk to them and learn more about the incident.

The family members brought the distraught mother, worried about her son, down the stairs, but she was unable to speak anything. Then, the elder brother Dhirendra Verma said, “Muslim women started protesting against the CAA on Sunday itself. Around five o’clock in the evening, Dharmendra Verma left the house, saying that he should go outside. Late in the evening, it was reported that violence had started towards Jafrabad. It was almost eight o’clock at night, but the younger brother had not returned home yet. After this, we tensed family members went out to search for him. We could not find any clue till late in the night.”

According to elder brother Dhirendra, from the morning of the next day itself, he set out to find Dharmendra. But on Monday, the situation in the area had become so chaotic that he was forced to return home empty-handed. After that, he made calls to those nearby and the relatives living far away to enquire about Dharmendra’s whereabouts. He even went to GTB Hospital to search Dharmendra among the injured and the dead bodies of victims of Delhi riots kept there, but could not find any clue. Dharmendra’s mother and younger brother are in bad health at home and unable to stop their tears.

Dhirendra further adds, “On Monday, the situation outside had become so bad that we could not leave even if we wanted to. Not merely that, we remained imprisoned in our homes for three days, hungry and thirsty and weeping. When the atmosphere became peaceful, we informed the police in writing about Dharmendra’s disappearance. The police assured us of all possible help, but today it has been seven days and Dharmendra has not been found yet. ”

People standing nearby told us that after Dharmendra’s disappearance, his mother did not eat food for four days. People have forcefully fed her after her health worsened. Dharmendra’s mother appeared to be suffering from some serious illness. Dhirendra told us that he takes care of his mother throughout the day while Dharmendra’s father Veersahaay goes out every morning to find his son on an empty stomach but late in the night, returns home empty-handed and dejected.

15-year-old Dharmendra Verma (son of Veersahaay) living in Brijpuri was the second among the three brothers. Due to the worsening financial condition of the family, he used to go to a factory to learn work after quitting his studies. Dharmendra’s father and his elder brother Dhirendra work as a labourer in a factory and support the family.

Limbs chopped, thrown into fire like a piece of meat: Video of Delhi anti-Hindu Delhi riot victim Dilbar Negi goes viral

The gruesome photographs of anti-Hindu riots in Delhi are still emerging even as the city gradually comes back to normalcy. On the evening of 24 February, when violence erupted in Delhi, 20-year-old Dilbar Singh Negi had to fell victim to the brutality of these riots. Dilbar Singh Negi was burnt by a mob of rioters in the burning house after being cut off with a sword.

The rioters, after cutting Dilbar Singh Negi’s hands and feet, threw the rest of his body into the burning fire. The incident was first reported by Opindia, when the relatives of Dilbar Negi, the deceased, contacted us and reported the horrific accident. Dilbar came to Delhi just 6 months ago from Uttarakhand. He used to work at a sweet shop located in Shiv Vihar.

In the attached tweet, you can see the burnt body of the deceased Dilbar Singh. It is clear that the hands and feet are missing from the body, while the rest of the body is present in the ash pile. That is, these parts of his body were cut before burning.

Note: The video is very disturbing. Therefore, under our editorial policy, we are not directly embedding the tweet here. If you still want to see it, you can do so by clicking here.

Dilbar Singh was a resident of Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government has announced financial assistance of five lakh rupees to the family of the deceased.

Dilbar Singh Negi was from Thalisain block in Pauri district of Uttarakhand. His close aide Shyam Singh told Opindia that some rioters entered the Shahdara area on the evening of 23 February. The rioters made Negi their first target. They cut off his arms and legs. Then, they burnt his body in a nearby shop. He was accompanied by his two other companions in the building who managed to escape from there.

On February 26, when the shop owner Anil Pal reached the spot to know the condition of his shop with the police, he found the body of the deceased Negi near the stairway on the second floor. We can assume that he was trying to jump from the building after seeing the rioters.

At least 42 people were killed and more than 200 people were injured in violence in Zafarabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Chandbagh, Shiv Vihar, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar areas of northeastern Delhi. These riots have caused significant damage to personal and public property. Furious mobs blew up houses, shops, vehicles, a petrol pump and opened fire on local people and police personnel.

Karnataka: CBI detains four suspects in BJP leader’s murder case where former Congress minister is alleged to be involved

The family of deceased Karnataka BJP leader Yogesh Gowda has accused a former Congress Minister of being involved in his murder. CBI officers on Thursday detained and interrogated the four accused Vinayaka Katagi, Mudukappa, Keerthi and Sandeepa aka Sandy. It has been alleged that Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni is behind the murder. It is expected arrests will be made soon in the case.

Vinay Kulkarni, a Minister in the Siddaramaiah Congress cabinet, is alleged to have gotten Yogesh Gowda murdered for political reasons. Under Siddaramaiah, the Police had concluded that the murder was due to personal rivalry motivated by a land dispute. However, the BJP and parents of Yogesh Gowda had cried foul and protests were organized.

When the BJP came to power in Karnataka, a party delegation met Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder. Yediyurappa obliged and handed the case over to the CBI.

Before the CBI could investigate the case, Vinay Kulkarni got a stay on the investigation in the Dharwad bench of the High Court. The CBI then appealed against the order in the Supreme Court. The apex court lifted the stay paving the way for the CBI to resume the investigation into Yogesh Gowda’s murder.

Ravish Kumar bunny hops from one narrative to another in a desperate attempt to defend colleague Vishnu Som seen with “Laden” doll on his desk

On Saturday, OpIndia published a report about a “mysterious doll” on the desk of NDTV journalist Vishnu Som that bore uncanny resemblance with the dreaded global terrorist, Osama bin Laden.

Netizens too speculated the same and wondered as to why Som would want to keep memorabilia of a slain terrorist. In a series of tweets, the NDTV journalist confirmed that the doll was indeed that of Osama Bin Laden but clarified that he had “no affinity” for the man behind the 9/11 attacks.

His complete statement has been updated the OpIndia story. Nevertheless, several people had pointed out the abnormality in having a doll with the face of the most dreaded Islamic terrorist sit on one’s desk every day.

Although Vishnu Som had already confirmed that the doll indeed featured Osama Bin Laden, NDTV India anchor Ravish Kumar, in a desperate attempt, rushed to the rescue of his fellow journalist and claimed that the viral image in question was “photoshopped”.

He wrote on Facebook, “IT Cell (referring to BJP) checks every day whether the people they target have learnt to outsmart them. My colleague Vishnu Som has a Russian Matryoshka doll on his table. It is now being ‘photoshopped’ to look like the picture of terrorist Osama Bin Laden. The fake image has been circulated several times. It is written in your destiny that you will be fooled in this manner. First, they created a different perception of NDTV in your mind. They trigger it from time to time to see if the malicious perception is intact. So, they target me or my colleagues with photoshopped images and fake news.”

Ravish’s rant about a “supposed” photoshopped image

Ravish added, “This is a game of psychology and technology. They are attempting to subdue your rational mindset. They want you to react just by looking at pictures. So, they are circulating these photoshopped images.”

He concluded his rant, “Do you wish to get fooled by the BJP IT Cell over and over again? Don’t you feel humiliated? I think the majority of people do not. They take it as a matter of pride. Else the IT Cell would have closed down in one day.”

It may be noted that the image was taken from a show on NDTV and video of the same is available online, where the doll can be seen, therefore it was a hilarious claim by Ravish Kumar that it was photoshopped.

One hour later, Ravish Kumar realised that he went on a hysterical tirade on a baseless claim of “photoshopped image.” Contrary to the ethics and integrity of a Ramon-Magsaysay awardee, Ravish edited his Facebook post instead of apologising for his mistake. The same can be confirmed from the edit history of the Facebook post.

In his new post, he retained several extracts from the original post while he shrewdly edited out the “inconvenient” parts, the allegation that image was photoshopped by IT cell.

He wrote, “My colleague has a Russian Matryoshka doll on his table. Vishnu has written that it was being sold in the Kremlin, Moscow. He found it strange that someone could sell the photo of a terrorist. People often buy such things as a part of a unique collection. If you go to America, then you will find bizarre toys of Donald Trump.”

At this point, it becomes imperative to ask, “Is Ravish Kumar drawing an analogy between Osama Bin Laden and the American President?”

Ravish continued, ” But IT Cell deliberately weaves such tales so as to build an atmosphere of fear/danger? The Taliban we know as a terror outfit is doing deals with America. There is no hue and cry over it. Why was there a representative of India? Why did not India say that we will not be a part of a deal with terrorists,? However, people are being diverted to think about a toy.”

Towards the end of his rant, he mentioned that “the post, has been changed.” However, he did not apologise for his false claims about the viral image being photoshopped.

It may be noted that Ravish Kumar made a total a five edits in his post, and he had removed the “Photoshopped” allegation in the third edit, but he added that it has been edited only in his fifth edit, without mentioning what was changed, and why.

There is possibly no greater expert at red hair fallacy than Ravish Kumar. In an attempt to dumb down his rant for his intellectually-deprived audience, he questioned America’s decision to strike a peace deal and withdraw its troops. Had he taken a class in diplomacy, he would not have asked why India played a role in the Afghanistan Conundrum. The funniest bit came in the end when he tried to monkey-balance “the outrage over an Osama doll” and the “silence over India’s representation in the US-Taliban peace deal.”

Ravish Kumar is not new to peddling theories that cast aspersions about issues and facts that he does not agree to. For instance, while speaking about the February 24 shooter who fired at Delhi Police personnel, Ravish Kumar had identified Mohammad Shahrukh as ‘Anurag Mishra’.  He has proven yet again how a certain section of mainstream media is complicit in spreading misinformation, conjectures and sometimes blatant lies to fan violence under the guise of ‘freedom of the press.’

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan shares video claiming house burnt during Delhi riots, fire department debunks his lie

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan took to Twitter on Sunday to claim that a house belonging to a poor family was set on fire by rioters in Ambe Enclave Chauhan Mohalla in Sonia Vihar. He also asked, “When will Delhi stop burning?”

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan claims mob set a house ablaze, Fire Department debunks his lies.

In the 45-second-long video attached to the tweet, one can see a few uniformed officers standing next to a burning house.

Eventually, the Fire Department was informed and they confirmed that the incident had nothing to do with the violence perpetrated in the name of Anti-CAA protests that claimed 42 lives. The fake news by the AAP MLA was thus debunked.

Amanatullah Khan who won by a large vote margin from the Shaheen Bagh Constituency during the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections is not new to controversy. In a clampdown against hate-speech, the police filed an FIR against Khan under sections of the IT Act at Ghantaghar in December 2019.

In a video that went viral on social media in January this year, the AAP leader was seen alongside Sharjeel Imam, the radical Islamist who threatened to cut off Assam and North East from the rest of India.

An FIR was filed by Delhi Anti-Corruption Bureau against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in connection with the misuse of funds of Waqf board under Prevention of Corruption Act. According to ACB chief Arvind Deep, Khan has been booked for irregular recruitment and misuse of funds allotted to Waqf Board.

After the Delhi police registered a complaint against former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain for instigating anti-Hindu riots in Delhi and murdering IB officer Ankit Sharma, Amanatullah Khan courted controversy by giving the murder accused a clean chit. He even declared Tahir Hussain was ‘innocent’.

On Saturday, the Delhi High Court had issued a notice to the Union government in connection with the impleadment application seeking FIR against rabble-rousers such as Khan, RJ Sayema, Swara Bhaskar under appropriate IPCs & IT Act.

Journalist with Shekhar Gupta’s ThePrint says those chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ are goons

The intense Hinduphobia and anti-Hindu sentiments burgeoning amongst the ultra-left wing liberals was evident yet again on Sunday after a ‘journalist’ associated with Shekhar Gupta’s news website ‘ThePrint‘ indulged in similar agenda by outraging against those chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and Jai Shri Ram’ slogans in a rally.

On Sunday, some people, to show express solidarity with the victims of the anti-Hindu riots that engulfed the national capital which left more than 40 dead on the streets of Delhi, took out a peaceful rally. In Malviya Nagar, Delhi, the people could be seen chanting Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai as they walk peacefully carrying Indian flag.

However, ThePrint journalist Neera Majmdar took to Twitter to say that those people who chant slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ were goons. Neera went on to ask the Delhi police that how were they allowed to carry out such rallies.

In a true ‘liberal’ fashion, Majumdar went on to shame those participating in the rally and said how the ‘goons’ are everyday people we come across.

Majumdar was soon called out for her bigotry. Netizens pointed out how similar procession was carried out in same area just few days back.

Recently, in Delhi’s Brahmapuri, a Muslim mob went on a rampage and murdered a man while chanting ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ and ‘Naara-e-Takbeer’ all because he had ‘Jai Shri Ram’ sticker on his bike. Chanting of ‘La Ilaha Ilallah’ (There is no God but Allah) have been regularly heard from the anti-CAA protest sites. In fact, in a protest rally at Hyderabad, the Ashok Chakra was replaced by the Islamic slogan.

Amit Shah targets Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata, assures citizenship to persecuted refugees while launching BJP’s election campaign in WB

Amit Shah addressed a rally in Kolkata signifying the beginning of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Aar Noy Onnaay’ (No more injustice) campaign in West Bengal with Assembly Elections next year. “This campaign is the fight to defeat autocratic forces in Bengal. I want to tell every Bengali today that we won’t accept any injustice anymore,” he said. The former BJP president said that the campaign was for “empowering the poor in the state, for making its law and order better, for ending syndicate, for ending infiltration and for providing citizenship to our refugees.”

The Home Minister targeted Mamata Banerjee over her appeasement politics and her opposition towards the Citizenship Amendment Act. He said that the Chief Minister of West Bengal herself had raised the issue of citizenship to refugees when she was in the opposition but now opposing the Act with the Congress party and the Communists now that Prime Minister Modi has brought the CAA.

Amit Shah once again assured that every refugee who has come to India fleeing religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be provided citizenship and accused Mamata Banerjee of opposing the campaign of Harichand Thakur and Guruchand Thakur and the promises made by Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

The home minister said that the opposition is filling the minorities with fear that they will lose their citizenship. “I assure every person from the minority class that CAA only provides citizenship, and takes nothing away”, Amit Shah said.

The architect of BJP’s rise to national dominance asked Mamata Banerjee, “How have the Dalits wronged you in any way? Why are you protesting when we want to give them citizenship?” Amit Shah also said that permissions were denied for the BJP’s political rallies and over 40 of their workers were murdered.

Amit Shah asked the Bengal Chief Minister, “Have you been able to stop us by doing this?” He said that Mamata Banerjee could do whatever she wanted but she stands exposed and the people of Bengal know her true face. Amit Shah also said that the BJP will form the government in the state with a two-thirds majority.

Pakistani-Canadian ‘Secular Jihadist’ wants those infected with coronavirus to attend President Trump’s rallies

Apart from exporting terror, the parody country of Pakistan has produced one of the most deranged individuals in the world. The sheer contempt for humanity from the people associated with the terror-state was once again displayed when Pakistani based self-proclaimed ‘writer’ Ali A Rizvi urged people affected with deadly coronavirus to attend rallies of US President Donald Trump and spread the contagious disease so that more people are affected by the disease.

In a hate-filled tweet, Ali A Rizvi on Friday directed the victims of the coronavirus to attend President Trump’s rally so that they could spread the disease in the crowd, mostly Trump supporters. Rizvi listed four to-dos for the coronavirus victims and asked them to take some measures while urging them to attend Trump rallies in their area.

However, Rizvi asked to read his instruction in a reverse order, which meant that he wanted people to go to the rally first to spread the disease and then take precautionary measures. In a way, he wanted Trump’s supporters to get killed due to the contagious disease which has already taken the lives of thousands of people across the world.

This is not the first time that Rizvi is craving for someone’s death through coronavirus. Just a few days back, responding to a post tweeted by former US Attorney Preet Bharara, Rizvi said he would attend Trump’s rally if he had carried coronavirus.

The idea of spreading coronavirus among political opponent seems to have gained momentum among Islamists and leftists. A man named Nishant Tathe from Pune was caught posting a message on WhatsApp saying, ‘If I catch Corona, I promise you I will attend every Modi-Shah rally there will ever be”. He ended the messages with the footnote ‘no more Bhakts”.

The coronavirus outbreak is an ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) that has spread to multiple regions of the world. More than 50 countries have now reported cases, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has upgraded the global risk of the outbreak to “very high” its top level of risk assessment.

Globally, there are an estimated 85,000 cases, and there have been 2,900 deaths. The virus has been detected in 58 countries, although the WHO has expressed hope that there was still a chance of containing it if its chain of transmission is broken.

All about loving your family: Rashmi Thackeray, wife of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to be the new editor of Sena mouthpiece Saamana

In an interesting development, Rashmi Thackeray, the wife of Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, was appointed as the Editor of Saamana, the Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece.

According to the reports, the announcement of Rashmi Thackeray’s appointment was made by Saamana Group Publisher Rajendra M Bhagwat in Mumbai. Her name also appeared as the editor on the print line in Sunday’s edition of the newspaper.

Rashmi Thackeray, Editor, Saamana

Rashmi’s appointment comes after her husband Uddhav Thackeray stepped down as the editor of the newspaper after he took oath as chief minister. While controversial senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut continues to remain as Saamana’s Executive Editor, Rashmi’s appointment has led to a wave of speculation on Raut’s ouster.

An alert Twitter user asked what would happen to Raut now. Another Twitter user put out the obvious that was intentionally or unintentionally deep on too many levels.

Uddhav Thackeray had been the editor of the Marathi daily since 2012 when he took over the post from his father and Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray.

Saamana was launched by Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray on January 23, 1983. Its Hindi tabloid version – Dophar ka Saamana was launched on 23 February 1993. Since its inception, Saamana remains the main platform through which Shiv Sena puts out its stand on current issues in Maharashtra and across the country and its views on other current events through editorials.
