Talks of an alliance between BJP and AIADMK starts to grow stronger ahead of 2019 General elections

As the 2019 General elections come nearer, the buzz around the alliance between BJP and AIADMK have started gaining momentum, after both its leaders are holding meetings and discussions on the issue. The state has 39 Lok Sabha seats and currently has an AIADMK government, with DMK in opposition.

BJP president Amit Shah has already cleared that his party will forge a “strong” alliance, to tackle the formation of Mahagtabandhan (grand alliance) in the country. While addressing a handloom and power loom association in Erode on Thursday, he slammed the opposition alliance, citing its lack of leadership and goal. He said that within a short span, the national party will cobble up a strong alliance in Tamil Nadu to lead the nation. He also added that the NDA-alliance will contest all the seats of the state.

He also slammed the DMK supremo Stalin, who is rather active in the formation of an opposition alliance, and had also attended the Mahagatbandha’s expression of strength rally at Kolkata, recently. Amit Shah also mentioned the instance when Stalin had proposed Congress present Rahul Gandhi’s name for the future Prime Minister post but had not received any positive response from its other allies. He labelled the DMK’s alliance an alliance with no leader, no principal and no philosophy and that it is formed with only intention to loot the country.

BJP chief’s remarks have come a day after AIADMK deputy coordinator R. Vaithilingam remarked that his party is indeed in talks with other parties, including BJP, to make a strong alliance in the state. He also indicated that the party is also holding discussions with PMK and the DMDK, state’s regional outfits. Vaithilingam also added that outcomes can only be announced after its party’s coordinator O. Panneerselvam and Joint coordinator and CM of Tamil Nadu K. Palaniswami, decide to do so.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal reached Tamil Nadu on Thursday and addressed media regarding the issue of alliance. At the airport, he told media that PM Modi has undertaken various initiatives for the state, and said that PM Modi expects support from the people of the state. He also added that he is deeply attached to state and wants the voice of people of the state to reach Delhi, when BJP forms the government again at centre, later this year. Piyush Goyal was accompanied by BJP state leaders Pon Radhakrishnan and Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan.

They met Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Thangamani and Municipal and Rural Administration Minister SP Velumani, at former Chairman of Sakthi Group, Pollachi Mahalingam’s house. They reportedly held discussions regarding the pre-poll alliance for the upcoming elections.

Last month, during the ‘Meera Booth Sabze majbooth‘ program, PM Modi was asked about the rumours regarding BJP’s alliance with AIADMK, DMK or actor Rajnikanth’s party. “Even when BJP won the majority on its own, we preferred to run the government with our allies. We cherish old friends, and our doors are always open for parties. It is more important to deal with an alliance with people than parties.” PM Modi had answered the question. He also had added that strong NDA is an article of faith and not a compulsion.

An FIR has been registered against Basim Hilal, a Kashmiri student from Aligarh Muslim University, for an objectionable social media post on the Pulwama Terror Attack. He has been suspended by the University as well.

Omar Saleem Peerzada, from the Public Relations Office of AMU, has stated, “We’ve come to know of the highly objectionable tweet. Taking immediate cognizance, he has been suspended by AMU administration. We won’t let the University be discredited. We’ve zero tolerance. He hails from Kashmir and was a B.Sc. Mathematics student.”

Hilal wrote “high on JAISH (e Mohammad)” after the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack. The tweet is no longer available as his account has by withheld after the tweet. He has been booked under sections 153A (promoting enmity between two different religions) and 67 (for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act.

In another incident, Macleods Pharmaceutical Ltd has issued a show cause notice to one of its employees for a similar reason. As per one social media user, the company asked its employee Riyaz Ahmad Wani, to offer a written explanation within 7 days as to why he should not be terminated for posting an “antinational message” on Facebook. He has also been suspended with immediate effect as per the letter circulating on social media.

Similar disciplinary actions have also been reported by Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology and Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University against their students for similar social media posts. Social media users are pointing out similar comments glorifying the terror attack made by many other people, and therefore more such disciplinary action may be taken by respective organisations against such persons.

Earlier, NDTV too had suspended its Deputy News Editor for two weeks for a post that seemed to glorify the terrorist attack. The organisation had also hinted at possible further action.

The death toll in the horrific terrorist attack sponsored by the terrorist state of Pakistan has reached 44, making it one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, the reactions from leftists on the martyrdom of Indian soldiers have been quite shocking.

Curfew imposed in Jammu following violent protests against the Pulwama terrorist attack

A precautionary curfew has been imposed in Jammu City on Friday after massive protests broke out following the Pulwama terrorist attack that left more than 40 security personnel dead and several injured in an IED blast.

People led large anti-Pakistan protests in places including Jewel Chowk, Purani Mundi, Rehari, Shaktinagar, Pacca Danga, Janipur, Gandhinagar and Bakshinagar areas in Jammu city. Violent clashes were also reported in Gujjar Nagar area where some vehicles were damaged due to stone-pelting. No major clashes took place due to swift action by the police. The protests were led by the Bajrang Dal, the Shiv Sena and the Dogra Front with raising of anti-Pakistani and anti-terrorist slogans.

People came out on the streets and burned Pakistani flags. The protests have reportedly left around 40 people injured including DIG Vivek Gupta. Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) had called for a Bandh on Thursday against the Pulwama terrorist attack. The Bandh has received the support of all political and social organisations. The curfew was imposed after the protests fearing communal backlash and the Army has been called in by the administration to maintain law and order situation. The army has been conducting flag march to maintain peace.

“We have imposed curfew in Jammu city as a precautionary measure,” said Deputy Commissioner of Jammu Ramesh Kumar. In the wake of the violent protests, IGP Jammu has urged people not to get provoked and maintain social harmony.

In a ghastly terrorist attack yesterday on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist had rammed an explosive laden SUV into a bus in a CRPF convoy. The terrorist attack claimed the lives of more the 40 CRPF personnel and left several injured.

What to do with these termites? Does ‘ha-ha’ reaction to terror attacks have a religion?

Empathy is a fundamental emotion that comes naturally to humans as they grow. Mind you, I am talking about humans and not these terrorists or terror sympathisers. Even with some people, who don’t feel the same way at certain events, choose to stay silent as it might not move them as much. Our proximity to certain events, human loss or its news determines the degree of our concern. It dictates how much you feel related to those incidents.

Over 40 jawans were martyred when we were not at war. Pulwama attack is one of the biggest terrorist act in Indian history. It is obvious that the whole nation stands united in the face of these ghastly incidents. But is it that obvious? Because the whole nation doesn’t seem to show its empathy because, for some people, just the Islamic names in these ‘Allah hu Akbar’ brand suicide bombers is enough to swing them that way.

You have seen the image above. If you feel it is photoshop, I would suggest you to go to any Indian news site’s Facebook page, find out Pulwama attack related news or videos and click on ‘ha-ha’ reaction names. You will get a sense of what I am trying to state.

Media calls these people as ‘samudaay vishesh’ whereas the only ‘visheshta’ that these people have in the name of their ‘samudaay’ is to stand in support of terrorists, violent ideologies and the likes. These are some of the Muslims of these country. It is completely a different thing if someone starts saying there is no religion of such people with ‘ha-ha’ reaction. Because, even when someone chants Islamic words, even when the flag of ISIS has those Islamic words, yet Islam is detached from terror. I don’t understand how far we can go in being politically correct and get perished while doing so!

I am just laying out some facts that are visible to public. It is not some accident that they were giving ‘angry’ reaction and somehow ended up pushing ‘ha-ha’. The number in which these reactions are coming, if someone does a survey, the results will prove that this percentage of users is sizeable. People will realise, if they haven’t, that there is a large majority of such Muslim names that mocks the martyrs and stands in unison chanting the terrorists’ chants. And then, you don’t feel appalled when some Muslim names gather in a university and chant ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’. It is just a tangible extension of digital ‘ha-ha’.

This is just one aspect of insensitivity, another one is still a step ahead. Some Muslim names are running a hashtag asking ‘HowsTheJaish’, a mocking reference to the popular dialogue, ‘How’s the josh’, from a recent movie based on surgical strikes, while endorsing terror outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad. These people are in abundance and you just need to run a hashtag search on Twitter. You will realise that these names are not only Islamic, but these are people living in India. I would request the champions of fact check websites to do a basic non-rocket science research on it.

If seeing these kinds of reactions after every terror attack, someone starts to hate these filthy humans, would they be wrong? These roaches do not deserve to live in this country, or even any civilised society. They deserve to live in isolated places where they can bomb each other and hail their gods while claiming the act to be purely religion in nature. These Muslims not only support these terrorists but even Pakistan and ISIS. You don’t need extra research to find them after every terror act they will seem happy and flaunt it.

I despise these guttersnipes. Every single India-loving person will hate these cockroaches who eat and sleep in the warmth of India while singing tunes of terrorists that attack us. These are those treacherous insects rotting and crawling in the stinking drains of their filthy thoughts that can laugh on the martyrdom of the very soldiers that give them a good life. These people should be identified and asked about the meaning of their vulgar laughter. Or, should we accept the flawed logic that these can be the Muslims from anywhere? But really, are these Muslims ‘from anywhere’ or ‘from here itself’ who shamelessly go on with their anti-national activities in universities like AMU?

And yes, please don’t give me the ‘these are not good Muslims’ argument. Where are the ‘good Muslims’ who are conveniently silent and tolerates these ungrateful insects among them? Have the good Muslims ever denounced these despicable acts of their own ‘bad Muslims’? The proportion of the so-called good and bad Muslims is so tilted that you seldom find one Muslim denouncing such acts on social media. Anyway, where are these good Muslims, or those institutions that certify good Muslims as such?

It is painful that even these types of humans are allowed to live in India, nurture an anti-national thought process, and survive under the protection of Constitution. Even though, these are those termites that are hollowing up our society and nation. The armed forces would see to the external threats, but who will take on these ‘ha-ha’ reaction giving Muslim names? Why are they being tolerated by the ‘good Muslims’ of this country?

NDTV suspends Deputy News Editor for celebrating Pulwama terror attack, may take further action

0

Controversial media house NDTV has suspended one of its Deputy News Editor for a comment she had posted on her Facebook page about the horrific Pulwama attack on a CRPF convoy yesterday.

NDTV announced on its official Twitter handle that the news organisation strongly condemns the comments made by the Editor. She has been suspended for 2 weeks, while the company’s Disciplinary Committee will be weighing further against the deputy editor.

Nidhi Sethi, Deputy News Editor of NDTV, had posted a comment on Facebook which seemed to glorify the terror attack by Jaish-e-Muhammad. She had written, “where a grisly 44 has been proven to be greater than the mythical 56”. With this, she had added a hashtag #HowstheJaish, a take on the famous dialogue ‘How’s the Josh’ from the recent movie Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Nidhi Sethi was clearly celebrating the tragic terror attack on Indian security forces in her Facebook post, for which she was severely criticised. The screenshot of the comment immediately went viral on Twitter, and many people started asking NDTV whether it agrees with the views of its employee.

At the time of writing this report, the Facebook page of the journalist could not be accessed, which means she has deactivated her account on the social media site. NDTV says further action will be considered by the Disciplinary Committee against the journalist, it will be interesting to see what actions they take.

Nidhi Sethi was not the only Indian celebrating the terrorist attack yesterday, several other such comments have surfaced on social media from various persons. A student from Aligarh Muslim University had posted the following Tweet, celebrating the terror attack.

Basim Hilal, the student, has been suspended by the university, while the Aligarh police have registered a case against him. His Twitter account has also been withheld in India.

China refuses to back India’s appeal to list Masood Azhar as global terrorist, again

In the aftermath of the Pulwama Terrorist Attack, China has yet again rejected India’s appeal to list JeM Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the United Nations Security Council.

China, however, did condemn the attacks but refused to change its stance on Masood Azhar. “China has noted the reports of suicide terrorist attack. We are deeply shocked by this attack. We express deep condolences and sympathy to the injured and bereaved families,” spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Geng Shuang, stated. “We firmly oppose and strongly condemn all forms of terrorism. We hope relevant regional countries will cooperate to cope with the threat of terrorism and jointly uphold regional peace and stability,” he was quoted as saying.

On the issue of Azhar, Shuang said, “As for the issue of listing, I could tell you that the 1267 Committee of Security Council has a clear stipulation on the listing and procedure of the terrorist organisations. JeM has been included in the Security Council terrorism sanctions list. China will continue to handle the relevant sanctions issue in a constructive and responsible manner.”

China has always vetoed India’s appeal to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. Moreover, in recent times, China and India have been involved in the conflict, most notable over Doklam. The relationship between Pakistan and China also has become very intimate in recent times with the latter making heavy investments in the country to further its own imperialist interests.

The foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale of the Ministry of External Affairs has summoned the Pakistan High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood at MEA to register India’s protest against the Pulwama Terrorist attack. Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad had claimed the responsibility of the attacks in which over 40 soldiers lost their lives.

Claiming that he understands the rage brewing in the country, PM Modi today promised vengeance against the plotters of the ghastly attack. He reassured that the country’s Armed Forces have been given free rein to exact revenge from Pakistan. PM further warned that the perpetrators committed a huge mistake to attack the Indian armed forces, for which they will have to pay a huge price.

PM Modi continued his fierce attack on Pakistan in his rally in Jhansi. He excoriated Pakistan for nurturing Terrorist groups on its land. Modi said that Pakistan which is going through a severe economic crisis and it roams around the world with a begging bowl will get a befitting reply not just from India but from the entire world who have called out their complicity in the terror attacks.

CRPF pledges to avenge the heinous terror attack in Pulwama where 44 soldiers were martyred

As the country is reeling in the throes of a ghastly terrorist attack in Pulwama and mourning the death of 44 soldiers, the CRPF, which the martyred security personnel were part of, has pledged that it will not forget the martyrdom of its personnel and the horrendous attack on its convoy will be avenged.

More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Kashmir Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 70 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir around 3.15 pm on Thursday.

The attack has been reportedly carried out by a suicide bomber, identified as Adil Ahmad Dar, belonging to Pakistani Army backed Islamic terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad. He rammed an SUV laden with over 3000 kg of explosives into the CRPF bus carrying about 40 personnel. The collision exploded the bus and the vehicle, causing the deaths of the CRPF soldiers.
