CBI initiates probes against NFDC on charges of illegal payments to Anurag Kashyap

Central Bureau of Investigation has initiated an enquiry into allegations of financial embezzlement and non-compliance with prescribed norms against National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). According to reports, a letter served to NFDC director (finance) N Shaikh by CBI anti-corruption division, states that a probe has been set up to investigate financial irregularities in firms like Kashyap Films, Sun TV, UFO Movies and individuals Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee.

Charges against Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee

The case pertains to allegations of undue payments made by NFDC to Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee, keeping at stake the established norms of the organisation.

The payments amount Rs 40 lakhs to UFO movies and Rs 62 lakhs to Anurag Kashyap. Reports suggest that transferred amount to Kashyap was for the 2010 movie The girl in Yellow Boots. Another payment of Rs 1.5 crores, also under scrutiny, was made for the movie The Lunchbox. CBI alleges that payments to Kashyap were in contravention to norms of the corporation. NFDC can not fund movies if it has not co-produced them.

Dibakar Banerjee, along with Kashyap, is alleged to have received money into personal accounts, which were supposed to be received by joint accounts.

CBI has directed NFDC to provide documents for the probe at earnest. It has particularly asked for IT statements of both directors.

Other charges

Other charges comprise of allotment of advertisements to channels, not chosen by DAVP or The Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity, which is a nodal agency to undertake multi-media advertising and publicity for various Ministries and Departments of Government of India.

“Bill payments were made without telecast certificates from third-party monitoring agency as prescribed in EMA (Electronic Media Advertisement) Policy resulting in an overpayment of 38,41,800 to M/s Sun TV Network Pvt Ltd,” the CBI letter to N Shaikh reads. NFDC is also charged for over-payment to firms like UFO.

Denial of Charges

While there has been no denial of charges by Dibakar Banerjee, Kashyap has denied the charges fully. He has categorically denied charges, of receiving funds into personal accounts. Similarly, UFO movies have also denied charges of excess payments.


Information and Broadcasting ministry in 1975 had constituted NFDC. Smriti Irani had demanded investigation against NFDC, during her tenure at Ministry of I&B. It is according to observations made by her officials, that CBI is constituting probe.

Media peddles fake news about BJP becoming the top advertiser on television

On 23rd November, Economic Times ran a story titled Ahead of polls, BJP becomes the number one advertiser on television. It claimed that according to the latest data from Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become number one advertiser on Indian television in the week ended November 16.

The story said that BJP was ahead of other advertisers like Hindustan Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Amazon and others. The story mentions that BJP ranked as number one advertiser across all channels, up from number two in the previous week.

The story was soon followed by other media houses and all of them published the same story. It soon became viral on Social Media, and leaders from opposition parties were quick to spread the same.


As per some reports, the Congress party went ahead and demanded a probe by the Election Commission into BJP becoming ‘top advertiser’.


The claim that BJP has surpassed traditional advertisers like HUL was a surprising news, so we decided to check the source of the news. The weekly television advertising and viewership data are uploaded on the BARC website, so we headed there to verify the report. When we selected to see the top 10 advertisers for the week ended November 16, we were presented with the following table.

As you can see, forget being the number 1 advertiser for the week, BJP is not even in the top 10 list. As per the BARC data, Hindustan Lever Ltd (they are still using the old name for the company) is the top advertiser for the week ending November 16. HUL is followed by Reckitt Benckiser, ITC, Procter & Gamble, Ponds India, Wipro, Cadburys, Brook Bond Lipton, Godrej Consumer Products and Marico in the list of ten, all predictable top advertisers on television, with BJP nowhere to be seen.

From the BARC website, it is clear that BJP has not become the top advertiser in the country and it is a fake news.

But why a media house like Economic Times publish such a baseless news? On the BARC website, there is one more category for advertises on television, top 10 brands. And on that list, BJP is occupying the top place for the same week, followed by Netflix and Trivago. So, BJP is the top advertised brand on TV for the week, but it was not the top advertiser as media reports claiming.

If companies like HUL are in top advertiser list, why they don’t feature in the top brand list, you may ask. The answer is simple, FMCG behemoths like HUL, ITC etc have dozens of products for which they advertise on TV. This means, although they spend the highest amount on advertisements, that amount is divided among various brands. For that simple reason, BJP has emerged as the top advertised brand as the party’s advertising is not divided among numerous brands like consumer goods companies. That is also the reason why Netflix and Trivago are on the list because these companies do not have multiple brands to divide their advertising.

There is a fundamental difference between becoming a top advertiser and top advertised brand. And to claim one as the another is definitely a fake news.

The BARC data is publicly available online, even then how and why the media houses spread this fake news, that is a big question. One media house may have done a mistake, but it can’t be believed other media houses covering the story didn’t check the source website even once. This must be a deliberate attempt at spreading misinformation regarding BJP ahead of elections. On this issue, Congress is perhaps right, Election Commission should inquire into the matter to find out the root of this fake news.

On the occasion of Islamic Prophet Mohammed’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan dropped a controversial remark about Christianity’s Prophet Jesus Christ while addressing a press conference.

“There is no mention of Hadrat Eesa (Jesus Christ) in any books of history” Imran Khan was quoted. He also added that, while there were some evidences to prove the existence of Moses, but history completely lacks any reference to Jesus Christ. Moses is one of the most revered prophets in Judaism.

The Backlash

PM Imran Khan has been subject to the backlash after the video of his comments on Jesus Christ went viral. It is seen as an insensitive disposition towards Christians, who are a minority in Pakistan.

Pakistan born, Islamic commentator Tarek Fatah took to Twitter, to express shock on Khan’s comment.


His party members from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf defended Imran Khan, by saying his statements have been taken out of context.

Previous controversial remarks

In recent times this has been the second instance when Imran Khan landed in trouble for his own statements. This month, justifying the making of U-turns on many electoral promises, Imran Khan had drawn the parallels between himself and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.

“Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte would not have suffered losses in wars in Russia if they had taken U-turns. Leaders should always be ready to take U-turns according to the requirement of their duties and best interests of the nation. One who doesn’t take decisions according to the demand of the situation is not a true leader,” Imran Khan said last month.

He drew extreme criticism and ridicule from the opposition for same.

Imran Khan’s war of words with India

Imran Khan also has a history of launching diatribes against India and Prime Minister Modi. Last month, Imran Khan on 22nd October tweeted about “new cycle of killings of innocent Kashmiris” and referred J&K, which is an integral part of India as IOK or India Occupied Kashmir. This tweet had come hours after reports about the killing of civilians in South Kashmir emerged.

Following which, India issued a stern reply to Pakistan, and added that Pakistan should be more interested in its own issues than India’s.

Facts, No Fiction: Growth prospects of the Indian Economy

There has been a lot of talk regarding the performance of the Indian Economy and a bulk of the conversation has remained focused on the downside risks to growth while it has often ignored the upside potential for the same. It is almost amusing when I see commentators ignore important macroeconomic indicators while forecasting the future growth of the Indian Economy. The lack of due consideration of these variables is what results in the gross systematic errors that such forecasts make.

That being said, let’s admit that forecasts are just forecasts and they’re determined upon the information that is made available to us as of today. Thus, while modelling, we must make use of all the relevant information and data points that have been made available to us. This has been my bone of contention that most analysts tend to pick only a very narrow set of variables and this focussed approach often results in inconsistencies between the forecasts and actual growth estimates.

The forecast for FY2018-19 is at 7.2%-7.5% of GDP growth rate. Most analysts seem to agree upon this figure as an accurate assessment of what growth might look in this financial year. I, however, disagree as my assessment is that this is a very conservative estimate of the growth rate. In my opinion, the growth rate would be around 7.4-7.7% for the FY 2018-19 and this article explains why these forecasts are marginally higher than the ones presented by others.

There are reasons to believe that the acceleration in the growth may outperform the expectations as India has entered into a positive business cycle since last year and this positive business cycle is going to provide growth with this additional momentum of up to .2% on both the lower and upper bound of the forecast.

What these graphs show is that capacity utilization of manufacturing firms went up in the year FY2017-16 and this has further accelerated in FY2018-19. The increase in capacity utilization is synonymous with the increase in private investment as a percentage of GDP as witnessed in the year FY2017-18. This means that by the end of this year, we may witness an even higher share of private investment as a percentage of the GDP.

But it is not just investment and a positive business cycle that leads me to believe that growth will outperform the expectations. I had made a similar claim for Q1FY 2018-19 estimates which most expected to be within 7.9% while the assessment we had made was putting it at above 8% when the estimates were announced, it was at 8.2%.

Other underlying reason for India’s growth to accelerate are the fact that the economy is now well transitioned from the tectonic shifts it went through due to successive reforms. Given that the economy has well absorbed the initial impact of these reforms, it is only rational to assume that the positive impacts of these reforms are going to pull up the growth this year. To talk as in econometric jargon, we used the VAR model and generated the orthogonal impulse response function to validate this claim and it shows that there is a strong indication of growth being driven up due to these reforms in this financial year itself.

There are concerns that analysts have highlighted over India’s Current Account Deficit (CAD), the decline in the value of rupee, international oil prices along with the slow global growth. These concerns are legitimate downside risks to the long-term growth potential of India but with oil prices on a decline and India deciding to buy oil from Iran, the impact of them will largely be subdued. CAD will be an issue that requires us to explore long-term solutions and the government has already indicated its desire to switch to an alternative mode of fuel such as electricity. The global growth factor is also not as significant as India’s domestic demand continues to be robust. A good example of this is the fact that the automobile sector has found it difficult to exports its products as the domestic demand is absorbing a major share of our production capacity.

Thus, it is highly likely that our growth estimates may outperform the estimates of 7.2-7.5% as it did with FY Q12018-19. My bet is 7.4-7.7% would be a realistic forecast for the year, but I may not be surprised if it is beyond this figure; in fact, it would be reassuring to see growth go beyond these figures.

Many Twitter users today were tweeting with ‘#NaamBadloMaharaj‘ hashtag and we got a little curious. Believing that Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who in popular parlance referred to as ‘Yuvraj’ has been elevated to Maharaj, we clicked on the tag. The top tweet was from BJP Madhya Pradesh official account.


The video contained a clip from NDTV where the reporter is asking Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia’s comment on Kamal Nath’s communal statement. As per video that has gone viral on social media, Kamal Nath, while addressing a gathering had said that it will be a big loss to Congress if 90% of Muslims don’t vote for Congress.

Scindia had refuted the claims that Kamal Nath would have never said such a thing. “If Kamal Nath ji has said this, that if 90% Muslims don’t vote for us, it will be a big loss to us, I am ready to change my name,” Scindia could be heard saying. He refused to believe that Kamal Nath had said the above words. In the video shared by BJP Madhya Pradesh, from 00:37 onward, Kamal Nath could be heard saying the exact thing.

This is why twitterati wants Scindia to keep his promise and change his name. #NaamBadloMaharaj was a dig at his royalty roots since he is the grandson of Jivajirao Scindia, the last Maharaja of the princely state of Gwalior and son of Madhavrao Scindia, the last titular Maharaja of Gwalior.

Amusingly, this is not the first time Scindia has been caught brimming with overconfidence. In 2015 interview after the Delhi Assembly elections, Scindia was speaking about how Rahul Gandhi has brought about a change. India TV’s Rajat Sharma pointed out how the then Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was caught on camera copying the condolence message at the Nepal embassy when he went to express solidarity with the earthquake victims.

In the above video, from 02:47 onward, Scindia says Rahul Gandhi is ready to bring about a change. When Sharma points out that he was copying the condolence message, Scindia brazens it out and asks for proof.

He then claims how the media misinterprets things. Sharma, then shows him the clip. Despite the fact that Rahul Gandhi is seen touching his mobile phone screen so that it doesn’t get locked and he could copy the message easily, Scindia stood his ground.

Madhya Pradesh Congress has been in news because of infighting between leaders like Kamal Nath, Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia. The states of Madhya Pradesh will go to poll on November 28 and the results will be announced on December 11, 2018.

Hizbul releases pictures boasting they outsmarted Indian Army, Army neutralises six terrorists in Anantnag

The terror outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen had reportedly held a meeting at Lal Chowk, Srinagar, on Tuesday. They had released images of the meeting and had claimed that the meeting was conducted in the presence of their commander Abu Hanzalla.

A purported open letter had surfaced a few days back, allegedly issued by Hizbul’s Field Operational Commander Mohammad Bin Qasim. It was reportedly circulated on social media also. In the letter, the terrorist had dared the authorities and ‘challenged’ them to try and stop the meeting, which he had announced would be held on November 21.

However, soon after the terror outfit dared to mock the Indian Army, the Army has neutralised six Hizbul terrorists in Anantnag. It was reported earlier today that the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district killed six terrorists in an encounter today. The encounter was reported from Sekipora area of Bijbehara in the district.

The LeT commander Azad Ahmad Malik who has been shot down during the operation was reportedly involved in the assassination of Kashmiri Journalist Syed Shujaat Bukhari in Srinagar.

Hizbul had claimed in a letter that the meeting, which allegedly lasted for 47 hours, was attended by few most wanted terrorists from Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror groups.

A photograph of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Umer Majid alias Hanzalla posing in front of Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar surfaced on Thursday, with reports suggesting that the picture was taken on Tuesday.

“As you all know we had planned a meeting in Srinagar. By the grace of God mission was accomplished and now our next meeting will be in Delhi. Insha Allah we can conduct such meeting in any city of choice in India in future,” Hizbul chief Riyaz Naikoo reportedly said.

However, DNA reported that the veracity of the image and the quote going viral, could not be verified.

In the meeting, which was headed by Hizbul’s Valley operational commander, Riyaz Naikoo (Mohammad Bin Qasim) and deputy chief Saifullah (Musaib Ul Islam), the terror outfits allegedly discussed how to recruit new people including girls and their strategies to fight the security forces.

The terrorists had reportedly also released a poster threatening Kashmiri girls to shoot them in their legs if they upload their videos of dancing on social media.

Notably, last year, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for information on Umar, also known as Umer Majid, who has been accused of killing seven people including five policemen at Kulgam in May 2017.

BJP MP alleges breach of privilege by senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily

In a letter to the Speaker of Lok Sabha, Sumitra Mahajan, Lok Sabha MP Dr Nishikant Dubey has alleged that senior leader of the Congress party has committed a breach of privilege as the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance.

In the letter, a copy of which is with OpIndia, Dubey has claimed that Moily has polarized the functioning of the Parliamentary committee for media attention. He further accuses Moily of trying to “gain despicable media attention and serve his ulterior political motives, thereby, lowering the dignity and ethics of the Finance Committee.”

The letter alleges that Moily committed a breach of confidentiality on the proceedings of the Parliamentary committee by issuing statements on Demonetization on Twitter while the Finance Committee had called upon the Ministry of Agriculture to study the impact of Demonetization on Agriculture.

Dubey further alleges that provisions in the Rule of Procedure and Conduct of Business on Lok Sabha/Directions by the Speaker have been violated. He states that as per the rules, the evidence tendered before a Parliamentary Committee and its report and proceedings cannot be disclosed or published by anyone until these have been laid on the table of the House.

He added that Moily’s conduct constitutes a breach of privilege of the Committee as well as violation of the relevant provisions relating to confidentiality of the proceedings.

The BJP MP has requested the Speaker to allow him to raise the issue in the coming Parliamentary session and refer the letter to the Committee of Privileges for examination.

NDTV starts the process of whitewashing the crime of zealot Christian missionary John Allen Chau

After the killing of American missionary John Allen Chau by Sentinelese people in the North Sentinel island, it had emerged that he went to the restricted area flouting rules, and he went there to spread Christianity. But now efforts have begun to whitewash the crimes of the missionary.

Controversial media house NDTV has published an article on its website claiming that an order of the government of India may have facilitated John Allen Chau in violating the rules. They are referring to an order of ministry of home affairs issued in June this year which had removed the requirement of Restricted Area Permit (RAP) for visiting 29 islands in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. North Sentinel Island was one of those 29 islands.

As we have already clarified, removal of RAP for the island does not permit anyone to visit the place without prior approval. This is a misinformation being spread by media to somehow prove that the missionary didn’t violate any rule and instead Indian government is responsible for his death. This is absolutely wrong.

The same MHA circular which had relaxed the RAP requirement had also stated that other restrictions for visiting various places in the islands will continue as before. Section 2 (VII) of the circular said that “separate approvals of the competent authority continue to be required for visiting Reserve Forests, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Tribal Reserves as is the case at present”.

Under the Foreigners (Restricted) Areas Order, 1963, the entire union territory of Andaman & Nicobar, and parts of Sikkim are declared as ‘Restricted Areas’. Similarly, several states in the north-eastern region and parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and remaining parts Sikkim are declared as Protected Areas. Foreign tourists wishing to visit these areas are required to obtain a Restricted Area Permit (RAP)/Protected Area Permit (PAP) from Indian government authorities before doing so.

In a bid to develop the tourism industry in these areas, the government has relaxed the norms in recent times. As part of that, the RAP requirement was relaxed from 29 islands in Andaman & Nicobar.

It is important to note that Restricted Area norms applied to the entire Andaman & Nicobar, and it is not specific to protected tribal areas. For the protection of tribal areas, forest areas, and other sensitive areas, there are other stringent norms in place, which have not relaxed by the government. The North Sentinel Island is protected by Protection of Aboriginal Tribe (Regulation), 1956 and the Indian Forest Act, 1927. Therefore, even if the RAP requirement has been relaxed, going to the island without permission is still a violation of the rules. To claim that RAP relaxation encouraged John to carry on the misadventure is dishonest.

Moreover, John Allen Chau knew he was violating the rule. The version of fishermen who took him to the island makes it abundantly clear. They have been arrested and they have revealed that the went to the island in the night to escape patrolling by coast guard and navy. John’s diary also makes it clear that he knew he was violating rules. He wrote, “God Himself was hiding us from the Coast Guard and many patrols,” after reaching the North Sentinel Island.

The objective of John’s visit, to convert the last remaining isolated tribe in the world to Christianity, is also clear from his diary that he left with the fishermen. He wrote, “Lord, is this island Satan’s last stronghold where none have heard or even had the chance to hear your name?”.

After the relaxation of RAP norms, some organisations had opposed the move. At that time, the Union Territory administration had clarified that other restrictions for tribal areas will continue and nobody is allowed to go to places like North Sentinel island, and a buffer zone of 5 km around it, without prior approval after extensive scrutiny.

The decision to include the North Sentinel in the list of islands relaxed from RAP regime is indeed questionable. Perhaps it was an oversight by at the home ministry or at the administration of Andaman & Nicobar. But even with the relaxation of RAP, the island remains a protected area and media should stop this attempt to hide the illegal activities of the Christian Missionary.

While speaking at a rally in Mizoram, PM Modi hailed the rich cultural heritage of Mizoram and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Mizoram for welcoming him. He stated that it’s always special for him to visit the region and claimed that he has visited the Northeast 27 times now.

Extolling Mizoram’s culture, Modi said that Mizoram has a rich culture and tradition that the inhabitants of Mizoram have preserved and nurtured. Modi asserted that the BJP for the last four and a half year has worked towards recognising such myriad cultures and traditions belonging to different parts of the country.

Modi expressed anguish watching Congress leaders mocking this rich culture and traditions of Mizoram. He said Congress leaders have routinely mocked and displayed their insensitivity towards the people of the Northeast. Taking a jibe at Congress leaders, particularly Shashi Tharoor for his ‘outlandish’ remark on the Northeast’s traditional attires, Modi alleged that Congress leaders have disrespected and insulted the traditions and attires of the people of the northeast.


Mounting the attack on Congress, PM Modi further alleged that Congress leaders have abused and neglected the region of the Northeast for the most part of the history. He blamed Congress of playing ‘Divide and Rule’ and promoting dynasty politics to come into power instead of heeding the demands of the rural people and respecting and enabling them to fulfill their aspirations.

Modi said the Northeast has undergone remarkable progress under the BJP and has moved past from bandh, guns, and blockades. “The BJP government works towards both pace and the development. The development work of the Railways has grown three times during our government,” he said.

Christian Evangelism and The Joshua Project: An existential threat to Hinduism

Recently, the death of the Christian missionary who risked the existence of the entire Sentinelese tribe to ‘establish the kingdom of Jesus’ on the North Sentinel island revealed the extent of zealotry that prevails among the missionaries and the lengths they are willing to go to convert people to their faith.

In India, evangelism has always been a cause for concern as it poses a severe threat to the demographic stability of the country. In this report, we would elaborate on the zealotry of the missionary and the extent of their efforts to convert people to the worship of their ‘One True God’.

The Joshua Project is a ‘research initiative’ that seeks to ‘highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the fewest followers of Christ’. They further state, “Accurate, updated ethnic people group information is critical for understanding and completing the Great Commission. Revelation 5:9 and 7:9-10 show that there will be some from every tribe, tongue, nation and people before the Throne.” The Great Commission refers to Jesus’ instruction to his apostles to spread Christianity among all nations across the world.

As per their website, “Joshua Project gathers, integrates and shares people group information to encourage pioneer church-planting movements among every ethnic group and to facilitate effective coordination of mission agency efforts. Joshua Project compiles the work of numerous missions researchers to develop a list of all ethnic peoples that is as complete as possible.” Thus, it’s aimed at coordinating the work of the numerous missionary organizations that exist and provide them with a one-stop shop for information on the demographics of any group.

The entire ‘about us’ section of the missionary website is filled with zealotry and disdain towards the non-Christian faiths. They state, “Our desire is to help focus the Church on the most spiritually needy ethnic people groups.”

The Joshua Project declares that they are not a ‘formal research organization’ and that the margin of error varies from data point to data point according to their sources. They have various sources across the world and they claim that their data is the ‘best available’. In Asia, their source is the Asia Harvest and in India, it is the Omid/South Asia Engineer.

For India, the Joshua Project says that there are 2,554 people groups of which 2,289 are ‘unreached’. 94.6% of the Indian population lies in the ‘unreached’ groups. The percent of professing Christians is pegged at 2.1%. The Evangelical Annual growth rate is pegged at 3.9% which is significantly above the global rate of 2.6%.

People group is defined as, “A significantly large grouping of individuals who perceive themselves to have a common affinity with one another.” For evangelical purposes, “a people group is the largest group within which the Gospel can spread as a church planting movement without encountering barriers of understanding or acceptance.” ‘Unreached group’ defined as, “a people group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.”

The website lists every ‘people group’ under the Sun and even states the estimated number of workers needed to convert the community to Christianity. It’s a very organized effort to undermine the dominant Pagan faith in India.

From their database, it’s clear that the tribes with the most minuscule population have the highest proportion of Christians. The Adi Bori people group which has a population of merely 300 has a 37.15% of Christians. The Adi Ramo people group which has a population of merely 1400 people has a 45.49% of the Christian population. The Aimol group which has a population of only 3000 has over 98% Christian population. The Christian population of the Bangni group who number at 700 is at 46.97%. The proportion of Christians among the Bokar group who number at 4,700 stands above 67%. The Bori group with a population of 3,400 has a Christian population above 78%.

The Halam Chorei, Halam Kaipeng, Halam Kaloi, Halam Molsom and Halam Rupini which have a population of 3300, 5700, 3100, 5500, 4700 respectively have a Christian population of 52.39%, 49.53%, 46.39%, 49.16% and 44.93% respectively. The Havi Tangsa group which number at merely 900 have a Christian population at 46.98%. The Hualngo group with a population of 200 has been completely converted to Christianity. The Jugli, with a population of 300, has an 86.39% Christian population. The Kalya Kengyu, with a population of 400, has been completely converted to Christianity. The Keralamuthali with a population of 9,100 has a Christian population at 34.79%. The Kuki Chin Amre with a population of 500 has a Christian population of 93.75%. The Bujur group with a population of only 2500 has Christians at over 99%.

It’s pretty clear from their database that Christian missionaries has had far better success with groups with critically low populations. Among groups with larger populations that have a high rate of Christian population, there are the Kuki Chin with a 91% Christian population among its 153,000 people. The Ao, a Naga tribe, with a population of 233,000 has a Christian population over 99%. The Angami, another Naga tribe, with a population of 159,000 has over 98% Christian population. The Chakesang, another tribe among Nagas, who number at 157,000 has Christians at over 99%. The Arasar group with a 77,000 population has Christians at 77.60%. The Bharathar group with a population of 73,000 has Christians at over 81%. The Hmar tribe in the Northeast with a 98,000 population has Christians at 98.87%.

From the database, it appears that Christian missionaries really believe that for Judgment Day to arrive, they must convert at least some people from every single group on Earth. Thus, it appears that John Allen Chau’s bid to convert the Sentinalese tribe to Christianity is consistent with their effort to have Christians across all groups that exist in the world. And it’s really no wonder that evangelicals are calling him a ‘martyr’.

Given the infinite resources at the Vatican’s disposal and the huge resources available to other Christian denominations to evangelize and taken into consideration the Joshua Project with its extreme level of coordination, it appears that there’s an international conspiracy against Hinduism.

They have had very little success among other monotheistic faiths but given the huge diversity of India, it makes it much easier for them to further their agenda. And they won’t stop until there are Christians in every group that exist today. By the time they have representation in every existing group, more groups would have popped up naturally or they might simply invent them and their conversion agenda would continue. There is no end to this cycle. And the Indian government needs to do something urgently to put an end to this menace and safeguard the nation from the perils of demographic instability.
