Tamil Nadu: Chennai Police arrests DMK leader Sivaji Krisnamurthy over derogatory comments against BJP’s Khushbu Sunder and Governor

On June 18, Chennai Police arrested expelled DMK leader Sivaji Krishnamurthy over derogatory comments against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and National Commission for Women (NCW) member Khushbu Sunder and Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. The Kodungaiyur Police took suo moto cognizance and registered a case against Krishnamurthy.

BJP’s Khushbu slams DMK leader

Earlier, BJP’s Khushbu slammed the DMK for providing a platform for derogatory and lewd comments against women. She said that NCW would take up the matter by itself. She broke down while speaking to the media and said the matter had already been brought to the notice of the Tamil Nadu State Commission for Women. A video of Krishnamurthy was also uploaded on her Twitter profile.

She said, “The crass comments of this habitual offender show the political culture prevalent in DMK. There are many like him in that rut. Abusing women, passing lewd cheap comments about them goes unchecked and is probably rewarded with more opportunities.”

Tagging CM Stalin, she wrote, “What you don’t realize is he not only insults me but you and a great leader like your father (late M Karunanidhi). The more space you provide him, the more political space you will lose. Your party is becoming a safe haven for uncouth hooligans. It’s such a shame.”

Addressing the media on behalf of all women, Khushbu called out political parties over the unacceptable attitude of their leaders towards women. She said, “Don’t be afraid. I am there, we (NCW, apparently) are there. I will stand up for you.”

Krishnamurthy’s derogatory comments against Governor

Before passing derogatory remarks against Khushbu, Krishnamurthy had given a controversial speech about Governor RN Ravi. In a statement, BJP state president K Annamalai condemned the comments and demanded immediate action. He said the comments against the two “are highly condemnable, and we demand immediate action on this repeat offender.”

Annamalai shared a video of Krishnamurthy where he was passing derogatory remarks against the Governor in the light of portfolio re-allocation of the Tamil Nadu Cabinet after the arrest of state minister V Senthil Balaji.

DMK Suspended Krishnamurthy

Following the controversial remarks about the Governor, DMK suspended Krishnamurthy. However, it was revoked after he issued an apology. He was expelled from the party after passing comments against Khushbu. DMK general secretary Duraimurugan announced the expulsion and said, “Sivaji Krishnamurthy is being dismissed from all party posts, including the primary membership, for violating party discipline and bringing disrepute to it.”

Another Hindu comes under attack for expressing his opinion: Islamists, including Congress member and ‘journalist’ outrage, UAE initiates investigation

On Saturday (June 17), Islamists on social media decided to gang up on an Indian Hindu businessman named Ram (name changed) for extending his support to Nupur Sharma.

Ram had criticised the growing Islamism in India, attempts to encroach upon Hindu land under the pretext of offering prayers, and appeasement politics.

He had also been vocal against the sinister agenda to normalise hijab in schools, Islamists spitting on food and the menace of love jihad. Given that some of his tweets had Dubai as the geo-location, Islamists sought his immediate arrest and deportation from the Gulf nation.

Islamists, both in India and abroad, attempted to project the Hindu businessman as ‘anti-Muslim’ and ‘Islamophobic’.

“One of the ways to support the Muslims of India is not to allow room for anti-Muslim haters in India, especially in the GCC, such as this guy residing in UAE, who stirring up sedition & religious strife against Muslims in his country. The immediate punishment is deportation,” wrote ‘columnist’ Abdulla Alamadi.

“This is the account of Ram (on) Facebook. Please Dubai police take strict action against this man,” one Islamist wished after sharing the screenshot of the Indian Hindu businessman’s LinkedIn profile.

“Lives in a Muslim country and spouts crap like this. Get him out and shut his businesses down now. People like this cannot benefit from being in a Muslim country and saying these kinds of comments,” wrote another Islamist.

One Mohammed Sher Ali remarked, ” This person living in Dubai, whose name is Ram, wants to destroy the Muslims, if it is accepted then the government should ban five times Namaz. @DubaiPoliceHQ please take action on them.”

One Sohain Anjum wrote, “Hello @DubaiPoliceHQ please could you look into this Dubai resident spreading Islamic hatred in India whilst living safely in the UAE. Next, he will claim his account was hacked. Any Dubai peeps come across this guy??”

Congress troll ‘Ria’ also joined hands with the Islamist in hounding Ram. “His profile on Facebook is still active. @DubaiPoliceHQ please make sure that this Islamophobic man Ram is punished and deported and denied visa of all GCC countries.”

‘Journalist’ Ashraf Hussain tweeted, “UAE authorities have started an investigation against an Indian origin Ram after his Islamophobic tweets went viral.”

Twitter handle ‘South Asia Index’ also claimed that the authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched an investigation into the supposed ‘Islamophobic tweets’ of Ram.

In 2018, a 28-year-old Indian named Vishnu Dev Radhakrishnan was arrested by the police in Saudi Arabia on charges of blasphemy.

Around the same time, Michelin Starred Celebrity Chef Atul Kochhar has seen his livelihood threatened by Islamist trolls and a restaurant aggregator, following his tweet where he highlighted the age-old Islamist persecution of Hindus.

Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma was similarly subjected to death and rape threats by Islamists over a cropped video shared by Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair

Junagadh Violence: Conspiracy to burn bus full of passengers exposed, Islamist mob let passengers go after the driver told them he was a Muslim

Junagadh violence took place on June 16 after Municipal Corporation sent notice to an illegal Dargah. The violent Islamist mob attacked police, pelted stones and burned public and private property. Both government and private vehicles were damaged during the violence.

Among those vehicles, an ST Bus was going to Vijaynagar from Junagadh. In the attack, a bus driver, conductor and a senior citizen got injured. They were admitted to a civil hospital for treatment. ST Bus conductor and driver narrated the horrifying incident.

They said, “We left Junagadh depo at 10:15 PM on the Junagadh-Vijaynagar bus. There were 25 people on the bus. When the vehicle reached Majewadi Gate, the mob started pelting stones at the bus. Around 500 people attacked the bus and broke the windows. They closed the bus from outside and called for burning down the bus. The police reached on time and dispersed the mob.

Bus driver Asif Qureshi said, “The mob threw large stones inside the bus. The first stone entered the bus after breaking the driver-side window and hit me on the right elbow. They kept attacking the bust while passengers were inside. They saved themselves by hiding under the seats. We requested them with folded hands to let the passengers leave. They only let us leave when I told them my name was Asifbhai. They believed me and let us leave.”

The passengers were so scared that they ran away without luggage. The driver said the mob ransacked the bus after the passengers left.

As per reports, the Municipal Corporation had sent a notice to an illegal dargah located at Majewadi Gate to show documents within five days. On June 16, the mob started to gather outside Dargah and at around 10 PM, they attacked the police. The mob damaged vehicles and burnt some of them. They also pelted stones.

Mumbai couple accused in ₹300 crore drug distribution racket flees with ₹174 crore after getting summons, MP police issue lookout notice

The Madhya Pradesh Police have issued a lookout circular (LOC) for a Ashish Kumar Shailesh Mehta and Shivani Mehta, a Mumbai couple who masterminded a Rs 300 crore home-based drug distribution racket and have intriguingly vanished from the police radar in Mumbai and Khaniyadhan in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district on Sunday. They lived in an opulent, now-abandoned and locked flat in Mumbai’s Goregaon neighbourhood. It is believed that they fled with a huge sum of ₹174 crores from their drug money after police summoned them to question them.

The matter came to light after a suspected drug dealer from Mira Road (Thane), 39-year-old Nissar Zubair Khan, was apprehended two weeks ago with Mephedrone worth Rs 17 lakh. During questioning, he named the duo. He also accused them of participating in a number of illegal operations involving drug trafficking, Ponzi schemes and scams related to digital currencies.

During the investigation, Khan claimed that he is just a courier man for the woman and her husband in Mumbai. He claimed that he did not know what was inside the packet when it was handed over to him by the couple. He told police that the couple used to call him to their residence at Oberoi Esquire in Goregaon East to collect parcels. For every consignment, he would be given a new mobile phone and a new SIM card, and the delivery address to deliver the parcel to. After delivering the parcel to the address, he was asked to discard the phone and the SIM.

Nissar Zubair Khan said that the packet of drugs that police found with him was given to him on June 6 by Ashish Kumar Shailesh Mehta after calling him to their residence, and it was to be delivered at an address in Chanderi town of Madhya Pradesh.

Based on his statement, a team of Madhya Pradesh police visited the couple’s house on 11 June, along with Arrey police in Mumbai. They handed them summons asking to appear before the MP police for questioning on June 13. However, Ashish Kumar Shailesh Mehta and Shivani Mehta failed to appear before the police on that day. After that Mumbai police commissioner contacted them and asked them to cooperate with MP Police in the probe, but they still didn’t appear. Covering the story, a Mid-Day team even visited the residence, but they refused to talk.

Afterwards, on June 16, an eight-person squad from the Madhya Pradesh Police travelled to Mumbai, but by then they had fled their residence. When they visited the house with Aarey police, they found the main door locked. The driver told them that they left him the previous day. The phone number that Ashish Mehta gave them was also found switched off.

Police say that the couple were aware of the police visit and therefore they fled beforehand. According to police sources, the couple transferred a whopping Rs 174 crore to multiple accounts after they were summoned, and are believed to have left the country before the lookout notice was issued.

Police found the bank account details from the mobile phone records, and found that Mehta has been constantly transferring money from his account. On Thursday, he transferred around Rs 70 lakh and on Friday Rs 26 lakh from this account to various other accounts. The initial balance in the account was ₹300 crore, which came down to ₹126 crore, showing that they transferred ₹174 crore to various accounts. As per official accounts, these additional accounts may now be assessed throughout the investigation.

The lawyer of the couple has, however, claimed that his clients were being set up and asked for additional time to provide the police with all the information they required.

An anti-narcotics team from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch paid a visit to the Oberoi Esquire building on Saturday morning where the couple was staying, but neither the neighbours nor the security personnel had much information. Meanwhile, a notice summoning them for questioning by or before Sunday was posted on their door by the Madhya Pradesh Police. Along with that, the MP police also issued a lookout notice for the couple.

Shivani Mehta and her husband Ashish Kumar Shailesh Mehta, both entrepreneurs and aficionados for digital money, are charged with conducting a drug distribution network from their residence in an affluent high-rise in Goregaon. It was also found that they provided false names, numbers and other details to the residential society.

‘No threat to family’: Minor wrestler’s father refutes Sakshi Malik’s claims that statement against WFI chief was changed due to threats

The father of the minor wrestler, who had initially levelled sexual harassment allegations against WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and later said that it was false allegations, has firmly dismissed the claims made by Sakshi Malik. A day earlier, Malik had released a video statement in which she claimed that the minor wrestler changed her statement against Singh because her family was under threat.

Speaking to India Today, the Minor wrestler’s father stressed that his family had not received any threats as claimed by protesting wrestler Sakshi Malik. He also urged Malik to clarify the basis of her statement.

His counter came in the wake of a video statement released by Sakshi Malik and her husband Satyawart Kadian. In the video, Malik alleged that the minor wrestler changed her statement against Singh on account of threats faced by her family.

As reported by India Today, the minor wrestler’s father said, “We have done what we needed to do. There is no truth to such claims of threats against our family.”

In her video statement, Sakshi Malik argued that the minor wrestler gave statements against Singh twice. She gave her first statement to the Police under Section 161 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and subsequently, she presented her statement before a magistrate under Section 164.

Malik further claimed that the minor wrestler revised her statement because of fear of intimidation.

Malik’s remarks came shortly after the Delhi Police recommended the dismissal of the complaint under POCSO filed by the minor wrestler against Singh, citing a lack of corroborative evidence. The Delhi court will consider the cancellation report filed by Delhi Police on the 4th of July.

Earlier in the day, Bhabita Phogat had also refuted the claims made by the wrestler husband-wife duo that she helped in getting permission for protests at Jantar Mantar in January.

In a detailed statement on Twitter, Babita called Sakshi a puppet of Congress and urged her to answer the public about their real intentions.

Babita said, “Let me be clear that the permission letter shown by my younger sister has no proof of my signature or my consent anywhere, nor do I have anything to do with it far and wide.”

Adding that she has faith in PM and the judicial system, she asserted that she was never in favour of a sit-in protest from the beginning. She added that she always told the wrestlers that they should meet the PM or Home Minister as the solution would come from there.

It is notable that earlier this month, the father of a minor wrestler, who filed a complaint against WFI’s Brij Bhushan Singh, said that they had filed a false case against Singh due to anger against him. According to him, he was angry with Singh because his daughter was not selected to join a competition.

He and his minor daughter gave revised statements before a magistrate on 5 June, confirming that she was not sexually harassed by Singh as alleged earlier. However, they didn’t withdraw the complaint.

“We have no grudge against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. We recorded fresh statements on June 5 and we changed a few of our earlier statements. I am the father of a girl and I don’t want to get involved in this fight. I had not withdrawn the complaint but recorded fresh statements. In anger, we had levelled some false allegations. My daughter had faced some issues, but all those mentioned in the FIR were not true,” the father had said.

Following this, Delhi police filed a cancellation report in the POCSO case filed based on the complaint. However, a chargesheet was filed in other allegations of harassment levelled by other adult female wrestlers against Singh.

Protesting wrestlers, including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia, have demanded the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They have accused him of sexual harassment against seven wrestlers, including a minor. On the 15th of June, the Delhi Police filed a chargesheet for the offenses under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (making sexually coloured remarks), 354D (stalking) of IPC against Singh.

Delhi: 19-year-old Delhi University student stabbed to death outside Aryabhatta College gate by fellow students

A 19-year-old Hindu student from Delhi University was brutally stabbed to death in the South Campus area of South West Delhi on Sunday, 18th June 2023. According to police sources, the victim Hindu youth identified as Nikhil Chauhan, was attacked by four individuals outside the college gate at approximately 12:30 pm. They repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene. Nikhil, who resided in Paschim Vihar, was immediately taken to Charak Palika Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Manoj C, stated that the deceased was a first-year student at AryaBhatta College, studying political science through the School of Open Learning. The South Campus police station has registered a case of murder, and an investigation has been initiated.

During the initial inquiry, it was discovered that approximately seven days earlier, one of the college students had behaved inappropriately with Nikhil’s girlfriend. Nikhil confronted the individual in response, and it is believed that this incident led to the revenge attack.

On Sunday, the accused student came with three of his companions and stabbed Nikhil outside the college gate. He was taken to Charak Palika Hospital in Moti Bagh where doctors declared him brought dead. The police are currently searching for the suspects allegedly involved in the crime.

Nikhil’s father Sanjay Chauhan said, “At around 12.30 pm, I was informed about the stabbing of my son outside the college gate. As I reached the hospital, I was told that he had passed away. I demand that the accused should be nabbed at the earliest and stringent action should be taken against them.”

The police have successfully identified the accused individuals, and they are currently reviewing the CCTV footage from the crime scene and its surrounding areas to establish the sequence of events. Additionally, specialised teams have been formed to arrest the suspects.

Delhi Police said that all students involved in the attack belong to the same college as the victim. The body has been sent for postmortem. “Further investigation is underway,” Delhi Police said.

Twitter bot account made by youth from Odisha gets appreciated by Elon Musk, but gets suspended within 2 months. Know what happened

‘Explain This Bob,’ a popular Twitter bot account created by an Indian, which was even appreciated by Elon Musk, has been suspended today. The bot account was found to be a scam crypto account, according to Musk.

@ExplainThisBob is a AI-based bot which used to explain tweets of other people. It used the model of Open AI’s GPT-4 to break down complex tweets into simple languages. When Twitter users tag the account under a tweet, it provides an ‘explanation’ of that tweet.

The bot was created by Prabhu P. Biswal Bhubaneswar in Odisha, and he runs many small e-commerce sites, mobile and web apps for living, according to Business Today. However, the Bot Twitter account is also linked with a cryptocurrency token called $BOB.

The token was enjoying a bull run after Elon Musk tweeted ‘I love Bob’ in April this year. In April, Musk had alleged in a Twitter conversation that Twitter’s data was sold to third parties. An account had posted the news that Microsoft dropped Twitter from its advertising platform as they refuse to pay Twitter’s API fees. To this, Musk replied, “They trained illegally using Twitter data. Lawsuit time.”

Journalist Brian Krassenstein asked him if Twitter has a long-term plan in charging for API. Elon Musk replied, “I’m open to ideas, but ripping off the Twitter database, demonetizing it (removing ads) and then selling our data to others isn’t a winning solution.”

@ExplainThisBob jumped into the conversation and explained Musk’s tweet in simple language. It tweeted, “Twitter does not want to sell their database and the idea of taking away ads is not a good way to make money.”

Musk appreciated the explanation and tweeted, “I love Bob”.

All this took place on April 20, two months ago.

Soon the account attained massive popularity, and its linked crypto token BOB also skyrocketed. Following the tweet by Musk’s tweet, its value surged by 4744%, and the number of unique holders grew by 1000%.

BOB Token is a meme coin that features PEPE the Frog. Its value hit a high of $0.00021819 on 6th May, after which it declined sharply, and was hovering at around $0.00002 value since the beginning of this month.

But suddenly yesterday night (in USA), Elon Musk replied to a tweet by the bot account, accusing it of a crypto scam. “This sure looks like a scam crypto account. If so, it will be suspended,” he tweeted.

After some time, the account was suspended. This means that Twitter has determined that the account is a scam crypto account, due to its association with the BOB token. The account had more than 402,000 followers when it was suspended.

Before it was suspended, the account replied to Musk refuting the charge. The automated reply stated, “Bob is not a scam, but a decentralized memecoin with 0 tax, and no contract ownership. Bob is inspired by Doge, and for the people.”

But the account was suspended nevertheless.

It is notable that @ExplainThisBob compared $BOB with Dogecoin, another meme crypto token frequently promoted by Elon Musk.

Dogecoin’s value today is above $0.06, or about 0.000002351 Bitcoin. On the other hand, BOB was trading at $0.00002 or ₹0.0156 around 0.000000000777 Bitcoin today, after it fell by around 30% following the suspension of the Twitter account. The value of a Bitcoin today is around $26,532 or ₹21,71,842.

It is notable that crypto tokens like BOB or Doge are not separate cryptocurrencies, they are representations of an existing cryptocurrency’s blockchain. The tokens are used a medium of payment using crypto currencies.

Dehradun: Md Salik and his brother pretend to be Hindus to trap Hindu sisters in a double love jihad case, caught after making an online payment

In another love jihad case from Uttarakhand, two Muslim brothers from Bijnor in UP deliberately hid their real identity and posed as Hindus to trap two real sisters who are practising Hindus. Reportedly, the elder brother, Mohammad Salik, also raped a girl on the pretext of marriage. He had been working as a junior advocate in the Dehradun court for a year. Meanwhile, his younger brother is studying MBBS in Bangladesh.

To gain the trust of Hindu girls, the accused brother duo tied kalava, bad-mouthed Muslims, and even took the sisters to watch ‘The Kerala Story’. However, the elder brother got exposed while making an online payment to the landlord for a flat in Panditwadi, and slowly everything unravelled thereof.

Registering a case against the accused, the Police arrested him and sent him to jail. The Police have called his younger brother who is currently in Bangladesh for questioning in this matter. Their father is said to be an Assistant government advocate in Bijnor.

Started friendships with the Hindu girls through Instagram

Senior Superintendent of Police Dalip Singh Kunwar said that on the complaint of the girl, the Cantt Police arrested Mohammad Salik alias Lucky Rana. Salik is a resident of Mohalla Chashrin area, near Jhalu bus stand, district Bijnor. In her complaint, the girl stated that seven months ago, a young man named Lucky Rana approached her and developed a friendship through Instagram.

As per media reports, Mohammad Salik lured the girl into his love trap using his fake Hindu identity as Lucky Rana. During this period, Salik also had sex with the girl several times on the pretext of marriage. In the meanwhile, the younger brother of the accused also changed his name to a Hindu name and became a friend of the younger sister. Reportedly, he captured intimate photos and videos of the younger sister.

Meanwhile, Salik also introduced the Hindu girl and her relatives to his parents. The parents of the accused also introduced themselves with fake Hindu names. Subsequently, the marriage of the two were fixed. With the consent of both families, the date of engagement was fixed on the 4th of October, this year.

How did it all get exposed?

A week earlier, Mohammad Salik rented a flat in the Panditwadi area. He paid the landlord the advance rent through online payment, which displayed his name as Mohammad Salik. However, he had presented an identity card to the landlord in the name of Dinesh Rana’s son Lucky Rana, a resident of Bijnor.

When the landlord grew suspicious, he informed the Cantt Police Station. Subsequently, the police called Lucky to the Police station for questioning. When he was initially evading the questions, the Police conducted verification in Bijnor which revealed his reality entirely – his deceptive act of posing as a Hindu despite being a Muslim and trapping the Hindu girl.

When the Police informed the Hindu girl about Lucky’s real identity, she was taken aback. Consequently, on the girl’s complaint, the Police registered a case against the accused for cheating and rape, leading to his arrest.

Orchestrated an elaborate plan

Apart from tying kalava and using fake Hindu identities, the accused Mohammad Salik had taken both the sisters to a cinema hall to watch the film ‘The Kerala Story’, a few weeks ago. As per the girl’s claim, Salik had stated that this is how these people trap Hindu girls. She also revealed that to gain their trust, the accused would often lash out at the Muslims.

Further, the girl added that Salik also mortgaged the jewelry of the girl in a finance company and kept one lakh rupees with himself.

Police recovered two Aadhar cards in the possession of the accused

Police Station President Sampurnanand Gairola said that Aadhaar cards of two different names were received from the accused. However, both identity cards had similar photos. One Aadhaar card was in the purse of the accused, while the other Aadhaar card was found in mobile data. The name on the original card is Mohammad Salik while Lucky Rana is inscribed on the second Aadhar card. Additionally, both the address and the Aadhaar card number were the same.

UP: Protests in Shamli after Rashid, who has 1 Muslim and 3 Hindu wives, elopes with another Hindu girl, case registered

In the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, a case of love jihad has come to the fore wherein a Muslim youth named Rashid lured a Hindu girl into marrying him. Following this, the family of the Hindu girl along with the members of Hindu rights organisations arrived at the local police station demanding that the girl be returned to them.

The matter pertains to the Adampur village in the Babri police station precinct. Here a person named Rashid lured a Hindu girl into fleeing with him. Reportedly, the accused Rashid already has four wives. Out of his four wives, one is Muslim while the other three are Hindu. The accused has reportedly performed court marriage with the Hindu girl he escaped with. Despite registering a case based on the complaint submitted by the girl’s family, the accused and the girl have not been found yet. This triggered the Hindu rights activists to lead a demonstration outside Babri police station.

The girl’s family alleged that accused Rashid’s relatives Parvez and Nadeem along with their accomplices barged into their home and threatened to kill them if they refused to take back the case they have registered against Rashid. Accused Rashid also talked about converting the girl to Islam and performing nikah with her. The terrified family of the girl are demanding police to take strict action in the matter. Meanwhile, Hindu organisations have warned that they will organise a maha panchayat if the police fail to take stern action.

It is pertinent to note that a Zee News report stated that the Hindu girl had gone to her relative’s residence in Baghpat where the accused Rashid kidnapped her. The report further stated that a case in this regard has been registered at Chhaprauli in Baghpat.

The Babri Police Station stated in this matter that a case has been registered under sections 452, 504 and 506 of the IPC against four accused, namely Rashid’s brother Parvez, Nadeem Shahzad, and Naushad, for threatening the girl after entering her house. The police stated that further action is being taken in the matter.
