‘The Kerala Story’ film is about to release on 5th May 2023. The film is based on the true stories of thousands of girls from Kerala who were converted to Islam and sent to Syria to become ISIS terrorists and sex slaves. It has not only created a buzz before its release but also inspired people to promote ‘The Kerala Story’ among Hindu women on their own. Sadhu Magar is one such Hindu activist who wants as many Hindu women to watch this film to be aware and alert of the traps.
Sadhu Magar’s photograph went viral on social media on 2nd May 2023. In this photograph, he is standing near his autorickshaw on which he has flagged a banner that promises free autorickshaw services for people going to watch the film ‘The Kerala Story’. He has also mentioned on the banner that he will buy tickets for the first ten women who avail of his autorickshaw service to go to watch this film.
OpIndia spoke to Sadhu Magar to know more about the villral post, the nature of his work, and most importantly the motivation behind the special offer he has made to the public. He provided detailed information about all these things only after he first greeted us with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Jay Hindu Rashtra’ followed by what could sum up his message – ‘Garv Se Kaho, Hum Hindu Hain’.
Sadhu Magar hails from the Akkalkot town of the Solapur district in Maharashtra. He earlier used to work as a worker in a company in Pune. But three years ago, he bought an autorickshaw and started his own transport business as he always wanted to proudly own a business however small. He operates his autorickshaw in the Alandi and Markal areas of Pune.
It is notable that Akkalkot is known for the shrine of Shri Swami Samarth who is worshipped as an avatar of Lord Dattatreya. Also, the Samadhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar is in Alandi. In this way, Sadhu Magar said, both his hometown and the workplace have played an important role to nurture and grow the dedication towards Dharma that he already had.
Sadhu Magar said, “I loved ‘Dharma Karya’ (tasks and duties towards Dharma) right from the beginning. But I did not have any tools or means to do that. When I bought my own autorickshaw, I actively started to do that.”
He further said, “I watched the trailer of ‘The Kerala Story’. I liked it very much, just like I liked ‘The Kashmir Files’. And I decided to start this offer because so many Hindu women have fallen prey to this love jihad. I want Hindu women to be aware and alert of the traps. I wanted to make them aware of the issue. Therefore, I wanted to promote them to watch this film, and hence I came up with this offer.”
He said, “I don’t frequently watch films. But, if there is a film that helps the cause, I watch it and I also do whatever I can in order to make people watch it. Last year, ‘The Kashmir Files’ film was released. I watched the film. I liked it. It showed the reality of the atrocities faced by Hindus in Kashmir which no other film had shown. Therefore, I kept my autorickshaw services free for those who wanted to go to watch this film. I did this for fifteen days.”
Sadhu Magar further said, “On 5th May, I will first watch this film. If this film depicts the love jihad problem properly then I will continue with my ‘Sankalp’. If there is the slightest bit of any anti-Hindu element in the film, or if any compromise is made while depicting the issue as it actually is heard of or seen in society, I will write a Facebook post and tell people that this film is not showing the truth and urge them not to watch it.”
“But if it properly shows the problem and what happened in Kerala, I will take people to this movie and won’t charge any money. It is important for me to first watch this and check Because we cannot say anything before watching the full movie. right now there is propaganda for and against the film. But I will watch the film first, and if it is anti-Hindu then I will pull back my offer,” he said.
Sadhu Magar gives free services to Indian Army soldiers and officers anywhere in Pune city. He also carries pupils to school for free. Whenever he sees poor people who don’t have any money, he gets them to their destination without charging anything.
Sadhu Magar said he undertakes Dharma Karya on his own and is not linked to any organization. Magar, who proudly brands a Kalava in his hand and sports a tilak on his forehead, has thus become a symbol of a common Hindu citizen aspiring to speak the truth however uncomfortable or politically incorrect it is.
An Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J aircraft on Tuesday departed from Port Sudan carrying 135 Indians to Jeddah, marking the 18th batch of evacuees from the conflict-torn African country to the Saudi Arabian city, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
Arindam Bagchi, Official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, India, tweeted, “IAF C-130J aircraft carrying 18th batch of Indian evacuees departs from Port Sudan. !35 passengers are on their way to Jeddah. #OperationKaveri.”
The 18th batch of Indian evacuees was carried from Port Sudan to Jeddah, where they will be brought to India under Operation Kaveri. Sudan is currently reeling under the conflict of rival factions of military and para-military forces.
Earlier, on Monday, an Indian Air Force C-130 J aircraft evacuated the 17th batch of 122 Indians from Port Sudan to Jeddah.

Rival military forces accuse each other of new violations of a ceasefire that they had just agreed to extend as their devastating conflict enters a third week.
Soldiers loyal to Sudanese army leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his deputy, paramilitary Rapid Support Soldiers (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo have been engaged in the fighting.
The United Nations humanitarian coordinator in Sudan has warned that the humanitarian crisis in the country is turning into a “full flown catastrophe” and that the risk of spillover into neighbouring countries was worrisome.”
“It has been more than two weeks of devastating fighting in Sudan, a conflict that is turning Sudan’s humanitarian crisis into a full-blown catastrophe,” Abdou Dieng, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the country told a briefing of member stated via video link.
The UN assistant high commissioner for Refugees has said that more than 800,000 people may flee Sudan. The commissioner said the UN has temporarily paused operations in some parts of Sudan, including Khartoum.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday tweeted: “With almost 1400 Indians evacuated in IAF aircraft over the past few days, two C-130 J aircraft have evacuated 260 personnel including elders who were above 90 years of age & one above 102 years of age.”
The Indian government under Operation Kaveri, is set to evacuate about 3,000 Indian-origin passengers from Sudan. India has deployed its military planes and warships in the war-torn country to bring its citizens safely under Operation Kaveri.

On Tuesday, May 2, Congress released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka Elections. In the manifesto, the grand old party, along with several other promises, also vowed to put a ban on Hindu outfits like Bajrang Dal if it is voted to power in the state.
The controversial manifesto released by the Congress Party also went on to brazenly equate the Hindu activist group Bajrang Dal to the banned Islamist terrorist organisation Popular Front of India (PFI).
“We believe that law and Constitution are sacrosanct and can not be violated by individuals and Organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities. We will take decisive action as per law including imposing a ban on any such organisations,” read the Congress manifesto.
The Karnataka State Assembly election polling is going to be held on 10th May 2023. The results of the election will be declared on 13th May 2023. The 224-member assembly of the Karnataka state will complete its fifteenth term on 24th May 2023. At present, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a total of 119 seats, while the Congress has a total of 75 and its ally JD(S) has a total of 28 seats.
On Tuesday, hours after Congress released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka Elections, PM Narendra Modi, came down hard on the Congress party for pledging to ban the Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal in its poll manifesto.
Addressing a rally in Vijayanagara in the poll-bound state of Karnataka, PM Modi said the grand old party has earlier had a problem with those who chanted the name of Lord Ram and now with those who revere Lord Hanuman. He said that it’s unfortunate that the grand old party, has decided to lock those who chant ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’, in an obvious reference to members of the Bajrang Dal.

PM Modi said, “I’m fortunate to be at the birthplace of Shri Hanuman, but it also unfortunate to know that at the same time I’m here, the Congress in his manifesto has declared to lock up the Bajrang Dal, who revere Bajrang Bali Hanuman if the party comes to power.”
“The Congress had problems with Ram ji, and now they have a problem with those who chant Jai Bajrang Bali too,” the PM added, taking a dig at the Congress party for not only abandoning the Ram Mandir issue for decades but also questioning the existence of Lord Ram.
Amit Shah says Congress will un-ban PFI if it comes to power
Addressing a public meeting at Shirahatti, HM Amit Shah said, “Each vote counts, so ensure it goes to the right leadership. When the people of Karnataka press the ‘Lotus’ symbol, understand that you are not voting to elect an MLA or a minister and Chief Minister. Your vote will further strengthen PM Modi’s hands in creating ‘Mahan Karnataka’. Your vote will protect Karnataka from PFI.”
Shah said, “Only BJP can offer protection and prosperity to Karnataka. It is the BJP which banned the PFI thereby ensuring a peaceful and safe environment. We also banned cow slaughter, provided healthcare facilities to people, ensured proper sanitation facilities and ensured overall development in Karnataka,”

On May 1, one of the Indians who got rescued from Sudan criticised the arrangements made by the Government of India to rescue Indians from war-hit Sudan. In a tweet, he questioned the lack of air conditioning in the plane used by the Air Force to rescue Indians from Sudan. Sharing a photograph of the rescue plan carrying hundreds of Indians, he wrote, “Try sitting like this for 5 hours. This was Jeddah to Delhi flight with no AC.”

While replying to a tweet, Ramesh clarified he was not even on that plane. A friend shared the image. He came back “comfortably” on Saudia Airlines. He said, “Bangalore (read South Indian) passengers like me came via Saudia Airlines. Those to Delhi went in this aircraft. Those to Delhi went in this aircraft.” Ramesh clearly did not know or chose to ignore that C17 and C130J, the planes used by India for the rescue mission, have regulated temperatures. Sitting in a plane at 35,000 ft altitude is impossible without regulated temperature.

Not to forget, the Saudia Airlines plane that he took was also arranged by the Government of India. As per reports, India took services from Saudi Airlines alongside its own Indian Air Force C130J aircraft to fly Indians to different cities including Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
In a follow-up tweet, Ramesh said the real evacuation was done by Indian Embassy in Sudan at Khartoum, who arranged buses from Khartoum to Port Sudan. Basically, he tried to create a divide between the Indian agencies and security forces that worked together to bring back Indians from Sudan.

His tweet did not go well with netizens who schooled him for his thanklessness. Retired Major General Harsha Kakar said, “This is a rescue flight and not a trip to a holiday destination in a paid airline seat @warrierramesh. #OperationKaveri did not cost a penny to those rescued. Compared to your cheap comments, those who were flown home were elated and mentally at peace.”

Replying to Retd Maj Gen Kakar, Ramesh claimed he was not criticising govt. He said, “I did not say anything against the government, let alone being abusive or thankless. It was an FYI to fellow citizens, urging them to be empathetic towards them. Instead of being sorry, you all assumed that I was being thankless and went on abusing me! Wow! Read my tweet again.”
Though he claimed he was not the criticising government, in reply to another tweet where a Twitter user had said, “It’s better to evacuate without ac rather than leaving behind people to suffer”, Ramesh clearly said Jeddah was not a war zone, and it would have been acceptable if the rescue was done from a war zone.

His tweet was part of a shared thread about the rescue operation. It was clear from the first tweet in the thread that he and his family left everything behind and travelled with one bag per person. The situation was so bad in Sudan at the time of rescue that they had to leave everything. In such a situation, seeking “AC” was what Ramesh did.

While checking Ramesh’s Twitter timeline, some interesting facts came to the fore. He had retweeted Mahua Moitra Fans’ tweet where it was claimed PM Modi spent Rs 8,400 crores on planes that he “gifted himself”. The planes were brought for the Prime Minister, President and Vice President. They were not meant just for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The planes will also serve the next PM, when and whoever that will be after PM Modi’s tenure ends.

There were many tweets that Ramesh RTed or posted that clearly showed his political inclination. One may wonder what could be the reason for targeting the rescue operation that he himself used to escape war-hit Sudan.
After a lot of backlash, he had thanked MEA for the rescue.

Propaganda against govt during rescue operation in Ukraine
This is not the first time claims of mistreatment came to the fore from those who were rescued from a war-hit zone. When Indians were rescued from Ukraine under Operation Ganga, several reports suggested similar incidents but were later debunked.
A video of an Indian girl student, evacuated from Ukraine, crying and lashing out at the government for not making proper arrangements to bring back stranded students in Ukraine, had gone viral on the social media platform. Later, the girl released a video statement making a U-turn and accused the media of twisting her statements.
Several people accused ‘journalist’ Samriddhi K Sakunia of creating hysteria and peddling anti-government agenda to undermine evacuation. She had joined the Telegram group of Team SOS India, a volunteer-driven initiative that aims to help the needy in times of distress. Until then, Sakunia had been actively fanning the narrative that the Modi government was not doing anything for the evacuation of stranded Indian students.
She clarified her intention while soliciting anti-government comments from students and their family members. Sakunia wrote, “Hello, guys. This is Samriddhi Sakunia, a journalist based in Delhi. First of all, so sorry for whatever you all are going through. And I really hope you all are safe and wish that government comes in rescue.”
One Aswin Kumar intervened and questioned the ‘journalist’ for using the stranded students’ crisis and distress to peddle her anti-government agenda. “So, you want your anti-government agenda even in a group where everyone is in panic and stressed about the safety of their loved ones?” he inquired. Sakunia was caught off guard. In her defence, she claimed, “Absolutely not. You got it all wrong, mate. I am trying to voice your opinion.” Several users on the Telegram group joined Aswin Kumar and reprimanded Samriddhi K Sakunia for using the plight of the distressed students as a political opportunity.
On Monday, Bhojipura police station in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh arrested Mohammad Arif alias Guddu on charges of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by sharing objectionable posts on social media. The 32-year-old accused who has been arrested is Pradhan of Bhikampur village in Bareilly district.
According to reports, the accused was arrested near Baikunthapur gate area or the district at around 12:20 pm. The accused happened to share a video on Facebook in which an Islamic flag was shown being hoisted on a temple after throwing the original flag from atop the temple.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Raj Kumar Agarwal said that a video was sent to Bhojipura police from the social media cell of Bareilly police. Further Sub-Inspector Modi Singh of Bhojipura police station learned during the investigation that an attempt had been made to vitiate the atmosphere by sharing objectionable posts from the mobile of the accused.
The accused has been arrested under IPC sections 295 (A) (hurting religious sentiments), 153 (provocation with intent to cause riot) and 67 IT Act. According to the Police, several other cases have been filed against the accused identified as Bhikampur Pradhan Mohammad Arif. In 2021, a case was registered against him for obstructing government work and rioting.
Reportedly, this is not the first such case that has been reported from Bareilly. In July last year, the Bareilly police had arrested Nasir, a resident of Kasawan Mohalla in Faridpur, after a video of him threatening to behead former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had gone viral over the social media. A case was registered against Nasir under IPC sections 153A, 504, 506 and IT Act 67.

VHP hits out at Congress for its anti-Hindu election manifesto
Hindu organisations did not take kindly to the Congress manifesto, which pledged to outlaw the Hindu organisation, Bajrang Dal. Slamming the grand old party for making such unconscionable remarks in its poll manifesto, Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson of Vishva Hindu Parishad said that he was not completely surprised though as the remarks made by Congress were completely in sync with the party’s “Jihadi mindset.”
He further denounced the Congress for repeatedly seeking to humiliate Hindus in an effort to placate and pacify Islamists. He asserted that Congress had a track record of supporting jihadis and sheltering Islamist terrorists.
The VHP leader claimed that equating Bajrang Dal with PFI is the final nail in Congress’s coffin. “By making such reckless comments in the poll manifesto, the party has penned its own death warrant”, he said.

The Congress party, which seeks to portray itself as a pro-Hindu party by having its leaders visit temples before every election and by attempting to “saffronize” Rahul as a Janeu-dhari Shiv Bhakt, has glaringly exposed its own hypocrisy when it comes to using caste and religion for winning elections, said Vinod Bansal.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress and the anti-Hindu mindset
That the sheer anti-Hindu mindset the Congress party has displayed by proposing the ban on Bajrang Dal in its poll manifesto does not come as a surprise. Be it Rahul Gandhi’s RSS killed Mahatma Gandhi remark or Congress leader Digvijay Singh stating that in India, Bajrang Dal and BJP are funded by Pakistan’s ISI, the Congress party, due to their inherent anti-Hindu proclivities, has always harboured hostility against Hindu organisations like the VHP and Bajrang Dal. Many incidents, where anti-Hindu sentiments by Congress were on display, have been covered by OpIndia over the years.
It is to be kept in mind that the equivalence drawn between a radical Islamist outfit which vowed to commit a genocide against Hindus and a Hindu organisation that merely focuses on defending Hindus and Hindu culture from violent Jihadis, was also made by Rahul Gandhi himself years ago.

(here 238) “However, Gandhi warned, the bigger threat may be the growth of radicalised Hindu groups, which create religious tensions and political confrontations with the Muslim community,” Roemer wrote.
Nevertheless, regardless of how great Congress’s animosity towards Hindus may be, by associating Bajrang Dal with the outlawed terrorist organisation, Congress has stooped as low as it possibly could in order to advance its political goals.
Hindu outfits like Bajrang Dal and VHP are actually defensive organisations that try to defend Hindus from aggression by notorious Islamist organisations like PFI and SDPI. Whereas, PFI has a history of engaging in terror activities and attacking Hindu groups such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). What the Congress party has promised now is essentially no different from what Rahul Gandhi had said back in 2009, only a year after the terror attacks in Mumbai.
Government banned PFI
It may be recalled that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India had in September last year banned the Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) and eight of its associates for five years under a stringent anti-terror law, accusing them of having links with global terror organisations, including ISIS.
It may be noted that before the central government had banned PFI, the Kerala High Court had observed that the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) are extremist organisations indulging in serious acts of violence. The Kerala High Court further noted that both SDPI and PFI have a history of attacking members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The ban, meanwhile came, after the NIA in the two rounds of raids recovered several incriminating documents and materials from PFI organizations settled in almost 17 Indian states. The documents included a training module to make IEDs and bombs from available domestic material and also the ‘Mission 2047’ document underlining the PFI goal in the Indian subcontinent for the years to come ahead. The officials also recovered a Mission 2047 CD containing material for converting India into an Islamic State.
‘Mission 2047’ aiming at ‘Gajwa-e-Hind’
The document ‘India Vision 2047’ or ‘Mission 2047’ aims at destabilizing the well-developed infrastructure of the Indian sub-continent and establishing Islamic dominance over the ‘coward Hindus’ and subjugating them. It underlines the goal of the organization to establish the ‘Rule of Islam in India’ and to bring the Indian State and the majority of Hindus ‘to their knees’ when the country would complete its 100 years of Independence.
It aims at targeting Hindus and Hindu leaders to gain control over the country belonging to Hindus, popularly known as Gajwa-e-Hind. Gajwa-e-Hind refers to launching an attack on Hindustan and winning over non-Muslims by killing them or forcing them to convert to Islam. Such a war is executed to win over the ‘infidels’ and is called Gajwa.
Nexus between Congress and PFI
In an effort to win over voters ahead of the Karnataka elections, Congress has brazenly gone on to equate the Bajrang Dal with the PFI and threatened to take serious action against any group of this nature that fosters animosity or intolerance. However, in their haste to engage in appeasement politics, they have forgotten how they have on several occasions fraternized with the terrorist organisations PFI and SDPI to advance their political agenda.
Only recently, the former deputy chief minister of Karnataka and Congress leader Gangadharaiah Parameshwara has sought the help of the extremist organisation Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) to defeat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Notably, the outfit is the student wing of the banned terrorist group, Popular Front of India (PFI).
In 2020, the Enforcement Directorate claimed in a report that the PFI spent about 120 crores in a month to orchestrate the violent riots in the country after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act, naming eminent lawyer and Congress bigwig Kapil Sibal as the beneficiaries of PFI’s funding. Indira Jaising and Dushyant Dave were also named in the report.
The report had, in fact, named prominent individuals to whom PFI had made payments. Congress politician and Supreme Court lawyer Kapil Sibal allegedly received Rs 77 lakhs while Supreme Court lawyer Indira Jaising received Rs 4 lakhs from one of the PFI accounts based out of Kozhikode, Kerala. Abdul Samand has allegedly received Rs 3.10 lakhs.
Later, Kapil Sibal reportedly clarified that he had received money from PFI only during 2017-18 for the Hadiya Love Jihad case for his ‘professional services’.
Given the history of Congress’ proximity to PFI and the promise in their manifesto to ban Bajrang Dal, it would not be far fetched to believe that Congress has added already-banned PFI in the list simply to monkey balance and mask their true intentions of banning Hindu organisations which defend Hindus against the onslaught of Jihadi violence from outfits like PFI.
The Kerala Story film has been issued an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), aka the censor board. CBFC has reportedly ordered the makers to delete and/or tweak ten scenes from the film that included an interview with a former Kerala Chief Minister who is supposed to be the Communist leader VS Achuthanandan.

Reportedly, in the interview, the former CM of Kerala stated that the state would become a Muslim-majority state in the next two decades. He had said that the youngsters in the state were being influenced to convert to Islam. The censor board has ordered to remove the interview of the former CM that was at the end of the film and ran for 26 seconds.
As per reports, the other scenes that CBFC has removed include ‘dialogues and inappropriate references to all Hindu Gods’. Some dialogues have been ordered to be changed. A dialogue in the film noted, “Indian Communists are biggest hypocrites”. The word “Indian” has been asked to be removed from the dialogue.
There was some information mentioned about Rameez and Abdul at the end of the film that has to be modified as per the board. Furthermore, the word ‘randiyaan’ has been ordered to be replaced with ‘sex slaves’.
Reports suggest that the CBFC Examining Committee has asked the film’s makers to submit documents that point toward the figures mentioned in the teaser.
The controversy around The Kerala Story
The teaser of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ was released in November 2022. Since then, the movie has sparked controversy over the claim that 32,000 women from Kerala have been recruited by the Islamic State (IS) terror group. The Kerala government and opposition leaders have demanded a ban on the film.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has jumped into the controversy labeling the movie as ‘communal polarisation.’ The Kerala CM also dragged Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) into the controversy and accused the film of propagating the organisation’s agenda in Kerala.
“The trailer of the Hindi film which appears to have been deliberately made with the aim of communal polarisation and to spread hate propaganda against Kerala was released last day. It is indicated from the trailer that this film is trying to spread the propaganda of Sangh Parivar, which has established itself as the centre of religious extremism in the land of secularism,” he was quoted slamming the film asserted to be based on true events.
Furthermore, The Muslim Youth League has announced an award of Rs 1 crore for anyone who proves that the IS radicalised 32,000 Malayali women. Interestingly, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor shared the poster of the announcement on social media.

Sudipto Sen, in a tweet, has urged the people of Kerala to watch The Kerala Story and only then react to it. He also offered debate on the content of the film and said his team worked for seven years on the topic.
The film is set for a theatrical release on May 5.
On Tuesday (May 2), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar informed that he is stepping down from the post of the party’s President.
He made the announcement during the launch of the new edition of his book ‘Lok Maze Sangati.’ The 82-year-old served as NCP’s President for 24 years between 1999 and 2003.
During the event, he said, “The people of Maharashtra have supported me and showed immense love and respect for me. NCP was formed in 1999. We all know how it was formed and what happened. I have dedicated 24 years of my life working as the chief of the party.”

“My public life began on May 1, 1960. It’s been 63 years today and I was part of the major ruling political events in the State for about 56 years. “After 63 years, I think I need to stop somewhere. After having the opportunity to serve the public for so many years of my life, you all may feel disappointed to know that I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP,” he announced.

Last month, the veteran political leader drew the ire of the Congress party by extending his support to billionaire businessman Gautam Adani.
During an interview with NDTV, Sharad Pawar said, “When they raise issues that cause a ruckus across the country, the cost is borne by the country’s economy, we cannot disregard these things. It seems this was targeted.”
“An individual industrial group of the country was targeted, that is what it seems. If they have done anything wrong, there should be an inquiry,” he added. Sharad Pawar also questioned the demand for a JPC probe into allegations against the Adani group, saying that the probe by Supreme Court’s committee is more reliable.
A day after cricketers Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir once again clashed during an IPL match, Congress supporters tried to use the long-running feud between the duo to get some votes for the Congress party during the Karnataka Assembly elections. The latest war of words between the two Indian stalwarts came following the conclusion of the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday, May 2.
The Congress supporters targeted Gautam Gambhir and alleged that the player had dragged politics into games after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party and Karnataka voters should teach Gambhir a lesson by not voting for BJP in the upcoming elections.

Further, one of the users named Archana Pawar also alleged that Gautam Gambhir had deliberately portrayed his arrogance on the field and had threatened Kannadiga’s pride. “Has Modiji given him right to do so? such player shud not be selected for any team. On May 13th, Karnataka will undoubtedly teach them a lesson,” she added in the tweet.

One of the Congress supporters also said that the BJP MP needed mental therapy and accused him of bullying Kohli. “This is Gautam Gambhir, BJP MP and LSG coach. Viewers witnessed some ugly scenes following the conclusion of the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as star RCB player Virat Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir engaged in a war of words. The duo has been fined 100 percent of their match fees for breaching the Code of Conduct during the match.
The altercation happened after RCB had bowled LSG out for 108 after scoring 126/9 in 20 overs, with KL Rahul batting through a leg injury in an unsuccessful attempt to take his side to victory. After the match ended, the two shook hands and things looked fine.
LSG opener Kyle Mayers then walked up to Kohli and started speaking something when Gambhir came and took Mayers away. A little while after this incident, visuals showed Gautam Gambhir animatedly speaking to Virat Kohli. Other players, including KL Rahul, and support staff were seen separating the two. Kohli was then seen having a lengthy chat with LSG captain KL Rahul.
Reportedly, this is not the first time that Kohli and Gambhir have come face to face in a heated exchange in an IPL match. Back in April 2013, the viewers first saw a tense face-off between the two veterans of Indian cricket during a match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and RCB.
Following his dismissal in the 10th over of the RCB innings, Kohli turned towards the pavilion before turning back in anger after something was said by the opposition fielders. Soon, people saw dramatic scenes as Kohli and Gambhir charged toward each other aggressively.
Former Word Cup Winning cricketer Gautam Gambhir joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in March 2019. He cited PM Modi’s vision for the country as the reason for him joining the party.
Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Karnataka on May 10, 2023, to elect all 224 members. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on May 13, 2023.
