In politics, where people of the country are increasingly asking about nepotism, PM Modi’s niece, Sonal Modi, was denied a BJP ticket to contest in the upcoming civil polls in Gujarat.
Narendra Modi’s niece Sonal Modi was earlier denied a ticket by the BJP to contest the municipal elections from Bodakdev ward in Ahmedabad. Her name did not feature in the list of candidates released by the BJP unit in Gujarat. Sonal Modi, a homemaker by occupation, said that she did not want to contest as PM Modi’s niece but as an ordinary candidate. She emphasised that she will remain a dedicated party worker, irrespective of the BJP’s decision to reject her candidature.
On February 1, the BJP unit of Gujarat had announced that no tickets will be given to family members of any party leader. At the same time, BJP workers who are 60 years old and above or have served three times have also been denied tickets for CR Paatil, BJP Gujarat Chief, informed that the same rules applied to PM Modi’s niece as well.
While speaking about the development, PM Modi’s brother Prahlad Modi remarked, “This is not a case of nepotism. My family never used Narendra Modi’s name for our benefit. We all earn our own bread and butter.” He further added, “Even I run a ration shop. I have not visited Narendra Modi’s bungalow after he became the PM, let alone my children.” Pralhad Modi is the elder brother of PM Modi and Gujarat Fair Price Shops Association’s President.
The polls for 6 municipal corporations in Gujarat, namely, Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar will be held on February 21. A list of 576 candidates was released by the State unit of the BJP. The voting for 81 municipalities, 231 taluka panchayats, 31 district panchayats will take place on February 28 this year.
A few days back, foreign vested interests had descended to intervene in India’s domestic affairs to create chaos in the country by propagating disinformation pertaining to the farm laws passed by the Modi government and the violent protests by so-called farmers and Khalistanis thereafter. Singer-actress Rihanna, along with former porn-star Mia Khalifa and child protestor Greta Thunberg on Tuesday interfered in country’s politics by endorsing violence in the name of supporting ‘farmer’ protests. One such individual who dragged herself into the controversy was US Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece Meena Harris.
Harris, who seems to have no idea about the intent of farm reforms initiated in the country, joined the global propagandists to oppose the new farm laws ever since it was passed in September 2020.
Tweet by Meena Harris
Just like the fellow foreign influencers, Meena Harris resorted to propagating misinformation by claiming that she was “outraged” by “paramilitary violence against farmer protesters” in New Delhi at a time when there is evidence that highlight how protests unleashed riots in the streets of the national capital and brutally attacked the police personnel injuring more than 400 cops.
Meena Harris, who has a habit of flaunting her ties with United States Vice President Kamala Harris, has now gone to the extent using rabid Islamists and anti-India voices to meddle into Indian affairs. Sharing the tweets of Islamist troll and Hinduphobic propagandist Rana Ayub, Meena Harris attempted to not to only endorse the vandalism in the name of farmer protests but also tried to normalise Hindu hatred.
Tweet by Meena Harris
Her timeline is full of tweets and posts about Indian ‘farmer’ protests, which is not only devoid of facts but also whitewashing crimes of rioters who carried out insurrection against the Indian state on the Republic Day.
Ironically, Harris was ranting against the protestors who had stormed the Capital Hill and had termed those protests as ‘fascism’ that threatened democracy in the United States. However, Meena Harris exposes her hypocrisy when she applies different standards to the insurrection carried out by rioters disguised as ‘farmers’ in India, who desecrated the national flag on Republic Day and unleashed violence on the streets of Delhi.
Tweet by Meena Harris
It is indeed amusing when the likes of Meena Harris, who had no relevance till US Presidential Elections 2020, teaches India and Indians about ‘human rights’. Meena Harris, whose only identity is that she is a close relative of VP Kamala Harris, should in fact mind their own business and address human rights issues in their own country rather than pointing fingers at us.
Harris’ anti-India rants by referring into Indian leadership as ‘Fascist dictators’ comes even as the US administration themselves have welcomed the reforms initiated by the Indian government to state that the farm laws are aimed at “improving the efficiency of Indian markets” and attracting “greater private sector investment” in agriculture.
Meena Harris – a crony of Biden administration who uses Kamala Harris to get things done
The 36-year-old Stanford and Harvard Law graduate Harris gained prominence in the United States only after Kamala Harris decided to throw her hat into the Presidential race a few years ago. Meena Harris has been accused by many for using her political links to further her business interests in the last few years.
Reportedly, Meena Harris has authored two books – Ambitious Girl and the other Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea. Meena used the name of Kamala Harris to sell her books, which went on to become bestsellers. She also started a clothing line – Phenomenal and co-founded a production company after the November 2020 election.
Interestingly, Meena – a ‘champion’ for the cause of underprivileged, flew to the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration last month on a private plane owned by a donor to Biden’s campaign.
Meena Harris uses Kamala Harris ‘story for success’ to sell her products and it is being said that Meena Harris’s success only came after she began to exert her relationship with Kamala Harris. From selling “Kamala Harris Swimsuit”, “Kamala Tank”, to marketing “Kamala T-shirt”, Meena has gone to lengths to make money using her aunt’s influence.
Harris sold products with Kamala as a ‘theme’
In August 2020, when Kamala Harris was selected as Biden’s running mate, Meena Harris had ‘pushed” her campaign team to sell a shirt designed by her and a friend in their store. However, Biden had rejected such an idea as it would cause problems for campaign finances.
In January this year, Meena Harris had signed a deal with audio products manufacturer Beats Electronics for a collaboration. However, Biden’s team had to warn Meena Harris that she cannot use her aunt and VP-elect Kamala Harris’ name, image or likeness for profit.
Reportedly, the Beats headphones had asked their influencers and celebrities to promote with a theme, “The First But Not The Last”, a reference to Kamala Harris selection to the post of Vice President. Incidentally, the same phrase was used in the T-shirt designed by Meena Harris and sold on the Biden campaign’s online store.
Another report suggested that Kamala Harris did not have any information regarding Meena Harris’s business collaborations. Lately, Meena Harris and her business interests have caused problems for the White House.
Just like Meena Harris has become a pain for Biden’s administration due to her shady deals, her constant interference into India’s domestic affairs could soon become the anotjer ‘Meena problem’ for the Biden adminsitration.
Dear Meena, what’s good for the goose, has to be good for the gander
It is pertinent to reiterate here that Harris had, with all her might, supported the police action against rioters at the Capitol Hill. Branding the violence as a planned insurrection and an attack on the seat of democracy, Meena had said that the violence at the Capitol Hill was an example of fascism.
Any violence, ordinarily, would be condemned especially, when the violence is religiously and politically motivated, targets security personnel in a planned manner and furthers a violent insurrection against a democratically elected government. While the liberals of the West of thorough hypocrites who supported the riots by Black Lives Matter and called the violence by Trump supporters an ‘insurrection’, India, stood by the United States and condemned the violence.
Regardless of political preferences and the fact that a Biden administration would only be bad news for India, the powers that be condemned the violence in unequivocal terms. Hence, while Meena Harris might be a hypocrite, her support for security personnel acting against the rioters at the Capitol Hill was right, morally and politically.
However, the unbridled hypocrisy and racism shine through when the people who condemned the insurrection at Capitol Hill support the insurrection by armed Khalistanis in Delhi, that left over 400 police personnel injured and the national capital, burning and bruised. Perhaps it is time that Meena realises that what is good for the goose, has to be good for the gander. While western approval or validation means paltry little to Indians, Meena would perhaps do well to realise that India has a right to defend herself against insurrections just as much as the west, and she should either support India’s sovereign right or… SHUT UP.
After the unfortunate demise of Republic TV anchor Vikas Sharma on Thursday, Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami paid a heartfelt tribute to him. Vikas Sharma had reportedly been battling Covid-19 and had recovered. However, he passed away due to post-Covid complications. He used to host a news show named ‘Ye Bharat ki Baat Hai’ on Republic Bharat at 9 pm.
Remembering his colleague and late anchor Vikas Sharma, Goswami termed the loss as “an indescribable shock”. “I have no words to express how devastated we all are here at the Republic media network at passing away of Vikas”, said Arnab Goswami.
Republic Media Network mourns the loss of Vikas Sharma, Republic Bharat’s most loved anchor who passed away on Thursday. pic.twitter.com/Apfnm9zOpS
Remembering Sharma’s work at Republic TV, Goswami said, “Vikas was part of the launch team of Republic Bharat. And for the last 17-18 months, he has been face of the very popular 9 pm show Ye Bharat kiBaat Hai“.
Praising Vikas Sharma’s unique style of reporting, Arnab Goswami recalled, “…(he) threw his style of presentation, the way in which he described and explained every news story, the nuances that he brought out in ways which were almost magical. And the fact that very often he actually reported from the ground, from the field and being a field reporter he would anchor a show from the ground and then bring incredible insight and depth into the coverage.”
I saw amazing talent in him: Arnab Goswami
Goswami recalled the time he recruited Vikas Sharma and how he impressed him with his talent. “For me personally, Vikas was one of those journalists who I was very very very personally fond of and proud of. I still remember the first day when I interviewed him and he was a field reporter. He came to meet me and he showed me some of his tapes. And we went through the tapes. He had come to apply to be a reporter but I saw that talent in him, amazing talent. And he joined our anchoring team.”
It is a big loss for all of us: Arnab Goswami
He termed the demise of Vikas Sharma a big loss for the Republic media network. “As an anchor, the manner in which he presented the news was completely unique. There was a passion. There was involvement. And there was a great and a very precise manner in which he brought the story alive. There are very few journalists in India who could relate the news in the way that he did. So it is a big loss for all of us. And we will always remember his as a courageous, outspoken journalist and reporter and someone who, forever, will be part of the Republic media network.”
“It is a big loss for me personally. And I wish everyone strength to come over this great loss”, said Arnab Goswami with a lump throat.
Days after singer-actress Rihanna and former pornstar Mia Khalifa expressed ‘solidarity’ with the anti-farm law agitation in India, the mastermind of Republic Day riots, Rakesh Tikait, has welcomed their support.
While speaking about the development on Thursday, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader said, “Mujhe kya pata, kara hoga. Main kya unhe jaanun! (They must have supported the agitation. How would I know them?).” Rakesh Tikait seemed absolutely clueless about the international stars, such as Rihanna, Mia Khalifa and environmental activist Greta Thunberg. But, he nevertheless welcomed their support.
Rakesh Tikait was talking to the media at the Ghazipur border. He inquired about the foreign artists who had shown ‘solidarity’ with his anti-farm law agitation. “Kaun hain ye videshi kalaakar? (Who are these people?),” the ‘farmer’ leader asked. He added, “Koi videshi agar samarthan kar raha to kya dikkat hai, kuch le-de thodi na raha hai (If a foreigner is supporting our protest, then what is the problem? We are not receiving or giving them anything.)”
It must be mentioned that Rakesh Tikait is one of the masterminds of the tractor rally, who fomented trouble in the national capital by instigating the so-called protestors to unleash violence on Delhi’s streets, which unfortunately ended with the shocking act of desecration of tricolour at the Red Fort and rampant violence.
International solidarity or a planned conspiracy to defame India?
Earlier on Wednesday, Greta Thunberg has inadvertently revealed the insidious nature of the global campaign against India. After music sensation, Rihanna and adult movie actress Mia Khalifa jumped in to amplify the targeted campaign against the Indian government, the school drop out activist also registered her contribution in the matter.
Several other vested interests had also jumped in to comment on an issue they seem to know nothing about, in a bid to interfere in India’s internal matters. Niece of USA Vice President Kamala Harris, Meena Harris, has been tweeting relentlessly about the protests in India.
However, the global conspiracy seemed to have ended on an embarrassing note after Greta Thunberg shared a document that detailed the manner in which people all over the world could contribute to undermining laws passed by the democratically elected Parliament of India. The document, titled, ‘Global Farmer Strike First Wave’, implores individuals across the world to be a part of the ‘largest protest’ in human history. The objective is, apparently, to protest against the ‘unregulated corporatisation’ of the farming sector.
OpIndia had also reported how, per the documents leaked by Greta Thunberg, the tweets by Rihanna and Greta were in no way spontaneous and had been planned by anti-India propagandists well in advance. We had also reported the violent antecedents of Greta Thunberg and the organisations she is associated with, that lent support to the violent protests in India.
Marxist ‘historian’ DN Jha, known for alternative history and distortion of India’s ancient past, died on Thursday evening due to prolonged illness.
The 81-year-old ‘historian’, who was also a professor and chair at the Department of History at Delhi University, was infamously known for ‘secularising’ Indian history through falsifying facts to defame indigenous cultures of the land. Jha, who belonged to the school of Marxist history in Delhi, claimed to have specialised in ancient and medieval history.
Jha lied about the presence of a temple beneath Babri Masjid
DN Jha was one of the first far-left ‘intellectuals’ who peddled the lies about the non-existence of a Hindu temple underneath the Babri Masjid at Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya. The likes of Jha had gone to the extent of nullifying the historical claim over Ayodhya and its past by distorting facts about the presence of a temple beneath the illegal structure called Babri Masjid.
In May 1991, Jha and along with three other ‘historians’ had come up with a document, ‘Babri Mosque or Rama’s Birthplace? Historians’ Report to the Indian Nation’. In this document, Jha had come up with theories, as usual without any substantial proofs to claim that there was no Hindu temple under the illegal structure of Babri Masjid. However, the lies of ‘historians’ such as DN Jha were exposed by the ASI who unearthed temple remains during their excavation, which was later vindicated by the Supreme Court in its Ram Mandir judgement in 2019.
DN Jha peddled Hindu ate beef myth, lied about Hindus destroying Nalanda
Not just it, DN Jha, who was known for anti-Hindu propaganda, had also tried his luck with ‘fiction’ when he published The Myth of the Holy Cow. In this book, Jha had claimed that Hindu were the first to consume beef during the Vedic and post-Vedic period.
In the introduction of the book, Jha wrote, “The veneration of the cow has been converted into a symbol of the communal identity of the Hindus, and obscurantist and fundamentalist forces obdurately refuse to appreciate that the cow was not always all that sacred in the Vedic and subsequent Brahmanical and non-Brahmanical traditions—or that its flesh”.
This was the extent of anti-Hindu hatred the likes of DN Jha possessed which motivated them to go to any extent to defame and discredit Hindu civilizational values.
A known supporter of the Congress party and its politics, the Marxist ‘historian’ was also known for inventing facts to lie about Nalanda when he had claimed that the ancient University was destroyed by followers of Brahmanical religion, to save Muslims who had ravaged the ancient university in the 12th century. Arun Shourie, a minister of the Vajpayee government and also a Hindu scholar, had accused DN Jha of distorting history.
American Hip-Hop Artist Unkonfined (stylized ʋиκσиғιиɛ∂) who has a large following on the social media platform Twitter of around 3,83,400 followers, has deleted his tweet supporting the Farmers Protest. Unkonfined later posted a video explaining the reason why he had deleted his tweet. He said that he deleted the tweet because he does not know much about the matter.
The now-deleted tweet, which simply read ‘Support the farmers. #FarmersProtest’ led to a substantial amount of unfollows from Unkonfined’s Indian followers. The deleted tweet is reproduced below:-
The artist then posted a video, explaining his reason as to why he deleted his tweet. He explained that the reason he posted the tweet supporting farmers protest in the first place was that he has a lot of followers in India. Unkonfined then goes to say that the reason why he deleted the tweet had nothing to do with the farmers protest itself.
THIS is an example of Real Maturity on SM! Appreciate @unkonfined 's honesty and candour. I completely agree that w/o knowing enough, Influencers ought not to opine about sensitive issues. And- if they realise they've been mistaken, they owe it to their fans to admit it! ???????? pic.twitter.com/SBSCyicMzT
He said that he deleted the tweet because he does not know enough about the matter, and it has nothing to do with the supporting or not supporting the farmer protests. “I deleted it because I don’t know enough about it to talk about,” Unkonfined said in his video. He further went on to say, “It’s important to educate yourself before you say anything and I should not have put a tweet out there that I don’t know anything about.”
The fact that Unkonfined confirmed that he tweeted support for the farmer protests in India proves the now established allegation that such social media posts supporting the protests by international celebrities are nothing but a part of a coordinated campaign. Most celebrities posted the messages on their social media accounts as part of this campaign, perhaps in return of a consideration, without knowing the context of the messages. This campaign was exposed after activist Greta Thunberg had posted a ‘toolkit’ to be used for this campaign, containing messages to be posted on social media, accounts of media houses, journalists and politicians to be followed etc. The messages contained in the toolkit had been posted by designated celebrities in exact form from their social media accounts, proving that they followed the ‘toolkit’ to ‘support’ the protests in India.
The Delhi police have made public three visual evidence which punctures the claim of the leftist media like The Wire, which went on to ‘fact-check‘ OpIndia’s report on the desecration of the National flag and the unfurling of the Sikh flag. Opposition parties like Shiv Sena had also claimed that the India flag was not insulted at Red Fort during the ‘farmers’ tractor parade on Republic Day. Whitewashing the unwarranted spate of violence perpetrated by rioters disguised as farmers in the national capital on January 26, this Lutyen-lobby had instead, blamed the central government for the savagery the protestors had showcased.
According to Times Now, in the videos released by the Delhi police crime branch, an instigator named Iqbal Singh can be clearly heard provoking the angry mob to storm the Red Fort, climb atop the flagstaff and replace the tricolour with a flag bearing the symbol of Nishan Sahib symbol. He also appealed the rioters to snatch guns from the cops and fire at them, if they don’t allow the rioters to enter the Red Fort premises.
There are three videos which have been made public. In all three videos, Iqbal Singh is heard inciting the crowd and threatening the Delhi police trying to gain control of the violence in the Red Fort.
#Breaking | Proof of insult to Tiranga at Red Fort on R-Day. Visual evidence shows incitement of violence.
“Hurry up and pull down the Tiranga. Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru…..We appeal to Modi to remove the Tricolour and replace it with Nishan Sahib. Have some shame, don’t be so shameless. Okay, we are now outside the Red Fort and we are asking them to peacefully open the gates. Babaji a peaceful revolution has begun. If they don’t open the gates peacefully, we will snatch their stun guns and assault them. They better concede or else we have weapons with us. We will shoot them with their own stun guns”, Times Now has quoted accused Iqbal Singh as saying in the video.
Meanwhile, Delhi police have also confirmed that almost 300 social media handles have been identified and several cases registered against them spreading fake news, rumours. It said that these “handles were being used by some vested interest organisation to spreading ill will against the Government of India in the name of farmer’s protest. Delhi police in the press conference also confirmed how they had addressed to Child-activist Greta Thunberg’s ‘toolkit’.
#Breaking | Delhi Police addresses the media over R-Day violence.
– Almost 300 social media handles identified for posting hateful contents. – Several cases registered against handles spreading fake news, rumours. – Greta Thunberg’s ‘toolkit’ addressed.
Earlier, the SIT had filed an FIR against unknown people for creating enmity between groups and instigating acts that are prejudicial to maintaining harmony after Greta Thunberg inadvertently shared a ‘tool kit’ which exposed a detailed strategy for holding protests across the world over the farm laws passed by the Indian government.
Moreover, it arrested one Dharmendra Singh Harman in connection with the violence that broke out at the Red Fort on Republic Day. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Delhi Police Crime Branch had nabbed Herman after receiving video footage where he can be seen sitting on top of a car, instigating the crowd to hoist the Sikh flag on the Red Fort, the police said. In another video footage, Harman was also clearly seen participating in the Republic Day riots, where rioters had wreaked havoc.
According to the reports, the Delhi police have received over 1,700 video clips and CCTV footage from the public so far related to the Republic Day violence. The Delhi police have now taken help from forensic experts to analyse the relevant material to nab the rioters.
Even as protestors and rioters disguised as ‘farmers’ continue to squat on public roads causing massive inconvenience to the citizens, foreign vested interests are trying to create chaos in the country by propagating false propaganda against India. The foreign influencers by expressing their solidarity with a bunch of protestors, who have been accused of unleashing riots on the streets of Delhi, are now conspiring against the duly elected Indian government.
Singer-actress Rihanna, along with former porn-star Mia Khalifa and child protestor Greta Thunberg on Tuesday interfered in country’s internal affair by endorsing violence in the name of supporting ‘farmer’ protests, causing a massive backlash against these international celebrities. The statements of these celebrities were used by various political heads like pro-Khalistan Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh.
It is important to know that these ‘protests’ had taken a violent turn on country’s Republic Day on January 26, after rioters attempted to carry out a planned insurrection against the state even as Khalistanis stormed the Red Fort, hoisted religious flags to unleash massive violence injuring nearly 400 cops.
The global propaganda was also responded with a stern warning by the Indian government, who advised these ‘influencers’ to at least understand the reforms initiated before indulging in propaganda. However, hours later Greta Thunberg, who is now accused promoting enmity between various groups in the country, had inadvertently revealed the sinister global campaign against India after she shared a ‘Toolkit’ for those who want to support the ongoing ‘farmer protests’.
While the ‘Toolkit’ was deleted shortly after, an edit version of the same was tweeted again later by Greta.
The documents shared by Greta had made some shocking disclosures revealing that the alleged ‘farmers’ protest and the global support it received was not an organic one but a well thought out conspiracy against India. The documents shared by Greta Thunberg exposed that the conspiracy was plotted since November 2020, at the very least.
The document shared by Greta Thunberg listed a series of actions that people across the world can take to support the ‘farmer protests’ and also listed actions to be done. The document made categorically clear that the global attempts to incite unrest in India had begun prior to the Republic Day riots. The document also contained several sets of pre-determined tweets that were supposed to be posted. The OpIndia research also found that some of those tweets were posted verbatim on Twitter in November 2020.
One of the documents embedded in the toolkit, titled ‘Global Tweet Storm – suggested Tweets’ contained detailed planning about the exact tweets to be posted to ‘garner international attention’ to the ‘farmer protest’. In that document, that was created well before 3rd February, names of several Indian organisations, propaganda websites and fake news peddlers were documented.
The names of several ‘journalists’, fake news websites listed in the toolkit shared by Greta Thunberg
The intention of such a list was to tag the social media accounts operating within the country, who have been tweeting in favour of protests so that these ‘Indian’ handles could amplify the anti-India rhetoric in a much large scale and also depict that the farmer protestors indeed had some local support.
The list exposed a series of Indian social media accounts, comprising self-proclaimed journalists, fake news peddlers and ‘news websites’, who have been carrying out false propaganda to support the protestors to oppose the three farm laws passed by the Indian government.
Interestingly, the foreign vested groups have asked social media users to follow social media handles of Indian politicians both from the ruling party and the opposition. Apart from PM Modi and Indian Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar, strangely, the names of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor and TMC Leader Derek Obrien have also been mentioned in the ‘Greta Files’.
Here is a list of journalists and news portals that the global conspirators against India trusted to be their allies:
Propaganda ‘News’ Websites
Alt News
One of the handles shared in the ‘Toolkit’ shared by Greta Thunberg was a left-wing propaganda website – Alt News. Alt News has been pushing false propaganda to whitewash crimes of the rioters in the name of ‘fact-checking’ and have been caught several times doing so.
Alt-News, which has a notorious history of falsifying facts to spin the narrative, has published a series of ‘fact-check’ to claim that rioters did not desecrate the tricolour on the Republic Day.
Despite several videos and reports are out in the public domain exposing Khalistani involvement in the ‘farmer protests’, Alt News has been trying extremely hard to nullify the fact by releasing carefully edited videos to claim that no Khalistani flags were raised during the riots that took place near Red Fort.
The Alt News, mentioned in Greta Files, seems to be a part of a larger plot to tone down the international conspiracy against India.
Newslaundry
Another left-wing ‘news website’ Newslaundry also have been relentless in propagating half-truths about farmer protests. It is one of the websites mentioned in the ‘Greta Files’.
Here are a series of tweets posted by Newslaundry that several social media users used to peddle misinformation on the farmer protests and whitewash the violence perpetrated by rioters on Republic Day.
Most of News laundry ‘journalists’ have been tweeting and posting concocted stories about the farmer protests to depict them as a ‘legitimate’ protests against the government.
Manisha Pande, a meme creator at Newslaundry, has also tried to nullify the Khalistani angle in the ongoing ‘farmer protests’.
Scroll
Scroll – a left-wing website which is currently under scrutiny for allegedly enabling foreign interference into country’s internal affairs, amusingly hold BJP responsible for the riots that occurred on Republic Day. Deep Sidhu, a known Khalistani sympathiser, has been termed as a BJP agent by the likes of Scroll in an effort to hide the international interference in support of the ‘farmer’ protests.
Yet again, Scroll has named Khaps – a community organisation representing a clan mainly comprised of Hindus in a few North India states, for ‘intensifying’ farmer protests.
After failing to emerge victorious democratically against the incumbent government, the country’s left-liberal ‘news’ websites are accused of aiding international actors to meddle in India’s domestic politics.
The Wire
The Wire has been no exception in terms of the hatred it tends to exhibit against the country’s ruling dispensation. Ever since the Indian government democratically passed the three farm laws, the self-proclaimed media outlets such as ‘The Wire’ have been putting misinformation.
It is not a surprise for many that anti-India propagandists who are trying to destabilize the country have been asked to tweet The Wire’s coverage of the ‘farmer protests’.
Here are some of the propaganda reports published by The Wire in the last few months against the three farm laws, that are now aggressively being picked up by foreign vested interests.
Similar to other left-wing propaganda websites, The Wire has also blamed the state machinery for the Republic Day violence.
Trolley Times
Trolley Times is a new entrant to the scheme of things. Trolley Times, which claims to be tweeting in support of ‘farmer’ protests from the very beginning, has been mentioned in the sensational ‘Greta Files’.
The foreign vested interests are now spreading unverified claims put out by these ‘liberal’ news websites and ‘fact-checkers’ to discredit the laws passed by a duly elected Indian government and give a smokescreen for the foreign players to intervene in the country’s political structure.
Alleged Journalists and Fake news peddlers
Barkha Dutt
Joining the news websites, Barkha Dutt has also been named in the disgraced ‘Greta Files’ documents, asking the foreign social media users to use this news coverage to attack the Indian government.
Barkha Dutt has done several stories for the past few months connected with the ‘farmer’ protests. These reports are now being asked to be quoted in online campaigns initiated by foreign players who have no stake in Indian public policy.
Here is a tweet of Barkha Dutt, where she strangely attacks the Indian government for commenting on foreign interference by Rihanna.
Faye Dsouza
Faye DSouza, an erstwhile ‘news’ anchor, now relegated to irrelevance, is also perhaps competing with the likes of Barkha Dutt to influence foreign social media users.
Here is a tweet put out by Faye DSouza on the day of violence blaming the Delhi Police for trying to save themselves from the wrath of the rioters.
Mohammed Zubair
Mohammed Zubair, a co-founder of fake news website ‘Alt News’, on Wednesday slid into desperation after Indians collectively stood against foreign interference. In fact, it was strange to see fellow ‘Indians’ like Zubair attacking their own countrymen in a bid to support foreign vested interests.
Initially, it was not clear why was he indulging in such an act. As usual most of the social media ignored him as Zubair has a notorious history of supporting anti-Indian elements.
With ‘Greta Files’ is out now revealing a massive conspiracy against the nation, it has now become clear on why certain vested interests within the country were cheering for foreign intervention.
Here is a screenshot of a tweet put out by Zubair to pass of genuine locals residing near the Singhu border as ‘BJP’ supporters, who have suffered massive inconvenience due to the ongoing blockage of roads by the ‘protestors’.
Saket Gokhale
Saket Gokhale, who has a habit of glorifying himself as an activist, is a Congress-supporting troll and a fanboy of Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi. Saket Gokhale, whose tweets are usually discarded by most Indian social media users, seems to have found resonance with foreign vested interests such as Greta Thunberg.
Saket Gokhale, whose intellect is as great as Greta Thunberg’s, has often spread the same lies peddled by the left-media establishment. Perhaps, his continuing negative tweets about the Indian government has made him earn a spot in the list of Indian influencers created by Greta to influence foreign social media users.
As similar to many left-wing social media users, Saket Gokhale too had objected to the Indian government’s statement against foreign interference into India’s domestic affairs.
Saahil Murli Menghani
One of the social media accounts, which has been forefront at inciting the protestors and fomenting trouble is Saahil Murli Menghani. Saahil, who claims to be a journalist, has been posting tweets pertaining to the ‘farmer’ protests. In doing so, he has been publishing several unverified claims that are also alleged to have instigated riots on Republic Day in the national capital.
In his tweets, Saahil Murli Menghani uses instigating connotations such as ‘Revolution’ to amplify anarchy on the country’s streets. He has been putting out several speeches made by alleged rioters for the last few months to create a political narrative targeting the Indian government.
It is not unsurprising at all to see Saahil Murli Menghani’s name in the list of Indian influencers put out by Greta Thunberg.
Amaan Bali
Amaan Bali is another ‘social media influencer’ operating on Indian soil ever since the protests broke out. He was the first person to put out misleading claims that it was the Nishaan Sahib flags that were hoisted at the Red Forts on Republic Day. However, several videos and OpIndia reports have debunked his false claims.
Amaan Bali also tweeted on Wednesday, just hours after ‘Greta Files’ were revealed in the public, to claim that the Indian government’s collective effort to fight the propaganda against the country will only boost the morale of ‘farmers’.
Sandeep Singh aka (@punYaab)
Sandeep Singh, is another social media user whose tweets are being aggressively shared by left-wing and foreign accounts to put out posts against the Modi government.
On the day, rioters carried insurrection against the nation, Sandeep Singh was cheering them on social media. Incidentally, his tweets will also be posted repeatedly in the near future to target the Indian government.
Jasveer Singh Mukhtsar
Jasveer Singh, another social media user from Punjab, seems to be following a similar modus operandi just as other left-liberal social media users and self-proclaimed journalists.
Jasveer Singh has also been tweeting fake news about the death of a rioter Navneet Singh, who died after his tractor turtled during the Republic Day riots. Singh has been claiming that the Delhi police shot the deceased rioter. However, it is a blatant lie as post mortem report rejects claims of a gunshot.
Friedrich Pieter
Friedrich Pieter, a new name in Indian social media scene, has also been highlighted in the ‘Greta Files’. If one goes through his social media posts, it can be seen his hatred for Hindus and has often spewed venom against the Indian government and Hindu-nationalist organisation RSS.
Here is another tweet put out by Pieter, which international propagandists may have used to spread false propaganda against the ‘farmer’ protests.
Organisations and Khalistani sympathisers
Kisan Ekta Morcha
Kisan Ekta Morcha, a collective of all the protestors camping near the four borders adjoining the national capital is also featured in the ‘Greta Files’.
Khalsa Aid
Khalsa Aid, a shady organisation, suspected to be a front organisation for the Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), also finds a place in the ‘Greta Files’ along with dubious Indian news websites and individuals.
It is important to note that the NIA had registered a case in this regard in December 2012, alleging that Khalsa Aid was suspected to be one of the organisations linked to the BKI funding the Indian BKI members to commit terror acts in the country.
It has been forefront at peddling lies about the ‘farmer’ protest and also actively sponsoring the alleged protest against the Indian government.
On Wednesday, Khalsa Aid was one of the first international organisations to follow instructions of tweeting Greta Thunberg’s tweet targeting Indian government over ‘farmer’ protests.
PARI Network
PARI Network, which posts several photographs to create a wave of sympathy in favour of farmers is mentioned in the ‘Greta Files’.
Mahilakisan – Makaam
Mahila Kisan Adhikaar Manch – MAKAAM, which claims to be the collective of women farmers also finds a place in ‘Greta Files’.
Saving Punjab
Interestingly, several Punjab social media handles have also been quoted in the ‘Greta Files’. One account Save Punjab on Instagram has been putting out infographics targeting the Indian government.
The ‘Greta Files’ list to create a ‘Global Tweet Storm’ mentions this Instagram account and asks fellow social media users to tag this handle.
The Past Packers
Another Punjab-specific Instagram account – The Past Packers has time-and-again glorified rioters. In a recent Instagram post, it had called the Republic Day insurrection as a ‘historical moment’.
As expected, the Past Packer has been recognised by the child protestor Greta Thunberg and has allowed to propagte more lies about the Indian government.
Extinction Rebellion
Finally, Extinction Rebellion – the global environmental movement allegedly linked to Greta Thunberg’s alleged activism, which has no locus-standi on Indian issue has been relentlessly trying to interfere in a local political protest.
It is rather intriguing to know why such a global organisation, which has no business in India and its laws, has to achieve by instigating country’s citizens and funding Indians to involve in treacherous acts against their own nation.
Here is a tweet retweeted Extinction Rebellion that condemns the Delhi Police’s action during the Republic Day riots. Why would a foreign NGO be worried about Delhi Police using buses to barricade roads a precaution against rioters?
From the above list, it is largely clear that massive propaganda has been conspired against the Indian state by vested foreign interests, who are now deploying controversial Indian social media accounts to enable a foreign interference into country’s internal affairs. However, it is shocking to see several Indian accounts’ colluding with foreign interests to achieve some narrow-minded domestic political agenda.
In a Press Conference today, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Mr. Anurag Srivastava, told reporters that U.S. and India are both vibrant democracies with shared values and that incidents of violence and vandalism at the Red Fort on January 26th and at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, evoked ‘similar sentiments and reactions’. The MEA Press Conference, which was held in response to comments from the U.S. State Department about the Farmer Protests, is also held in the shadow of a leaked document by Climate activist Greta Thunberg, which detailed out the foreign plot to put the Central Government under pressure.
Mr. Srivastava, in response to the comments by the U.S. State Department on Farmer Protests, said, “U.S. State Department has acknowledged steps been taken by India towards agricultural reforms. Any protest must be seen in the context of India’s democratic ethos and polity and ongoing efforts of the government and concerned farmer groups to resolve the impasse.”
Mr. Srivastava then further went on to equate the events of January 26th at the Red Fort, where protestors illegally breached the Red Fort to install a religious flag, to the U.S. Capitol Siege on January 6th where protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol in order to stop the electoral vote count. Mr. Srivastava said, “India & U.S. are both vibrant democracies with shared values. Incidents of violence & vandalism at historic Red Fort on Jan 26 evoked similar sentiments and reactions in India as did the Capitol Hill incident on January 6th and are addressed as per local laws.”
The equation and equivalence of the violence in Red Fort on Republic Day to the U.S. Capitol Siege by the Ministry of External Affairs comes in the backdrop of a leaked toolkit document which lays down in great detail a coordinated, foreign operation against the Indian Government. The comments from the MEA Spokesperson has created speculation that this signal a shift in the attitude in Modi Government with regard to the handling of the Farmer Protests, from a softer approach to tougher one.
Mr. Srivastava also commented on the temporary measures utilized on January 26th, including the shutdown of 4G Internet, and said that the temporary measures were ‘understandably undertaken to prevent further violence.’
The MEA spokesperson was also asked to comment on the Pakistan Army Chief’s remarks on peaceful co-existence with India. Mr. Srivastava remarked that, “India desires normal neighbourly relations with Pakistan in an environment free of terror, hostility & violence. The onus is on Pakistan to create such an environment.”
On the 2nd of February, environmental activist and baby-protestor Greta Thunberg and Rihanna tweeted in favour of the so-called farmers who have been protesting at the borders of Delhi for the past almost 3 months and now, there could be a possible Congress link to the saga.
It was these ‘protests’ that had taken a violent turn and the result, on the 26th of January, was a planned insurrection where these protestors and Khalistanis overtook the Red Fort, hoisted religious flags and indulged in widespread violence.
After tweeting in support, Greta Thunberg inadvertently revealed the sinister global campaign against India after she shared a ‘Toolkit’ for those who want to support the ongoing ‘farmer protests’ in the country. While the ‘Toolkit’ was deleted shortly after and a sanitised version was tweeted again later by Greta, the cat was already out of the bag.
Only a few hours ago, OpIndia reported how the documents exposed the nefarious, global plans to destabilise India and how, the plan to make Rihanna and Greta Thunberg tweet was afoot well in advance. However, now more details have come to light that shed light on the fact that plans were far more sinister than previously imagined – and Congress is smack in the middle of it.
On the 18th of January, Kerala Congress tweeted about the farmer protests. The tweet, which has now been deleted, said, “The Modi government launched a full scale attack on the survival of a large section of population. The3farm laws will further worsen the situation for women whose lives are already facing severe crisis due to skytocketing prices of essential commodities” #MahilaAdhikarDiwas”.
Tweet by Kerala Congress on the 18th of January 2021
At first glance, the tweet seems like just another rant by Congress, however, upon closer look, a nefarious plans exposes itself.
A part of the tweet by Kerala Congress is verbatim taken from the ‘toolkit’ tweeted by Greta Thunberg, which, the Delhi Police is now investigating.
The document shared by Greta Thunberg listed a series of actions that people across the world could take to support the ‘farmer protests’ and also listed actions that had been undertaken. The document also made it clear that the global attempts to incite unrest in India had begun prior to the Republic Day riots. The document also contained several sets of pre-determined tweets that were supposed to be tweeted and when OpIndia searched, some of those tweets were posted on Twitter on November 2020, verbatim.
One of the documents embedded in the toolkit, titled ‘Solidarity with Indian farmers – Twitter storm’ contains meticulous planning about the tweets to be posted to ‘garner international attention’ to the ‘farmer protest’. It is this document that listed the tweet by Rihanna and the support by Greta Thunberg and it was on the basis of this documented that we had concluded that Rihanna’s tweet was not spontaneous and indeed, planned well in advance.
One of the tweets mentioned in the document is as below:
Excerpt from toolkit tweeted by Greta Thunberg
If one notices, this is the same line that was tweeted by Kerala Congress. Verbatim.
It thus proves that Congress was in possession of the toolkit and possibly, involved in the creation and/or maintenance of the toolkit too. Perhaps, even of getting Rihanna on board to extend support to the violence in India. With the Delhi Police now investigating who really created the toolkit, Congress could be in serious trouble if at all they had something to do with the creation of the document.
The tweet by Kerala Congress, however, exposes one more crucial element.
Congress link and Rihanna tweet possibly planned two weeks ago?
It is pertinent to note that Kerala Congress had tweeted from this very document, verbatim, on the 18th of January. It therefore stands to reason that the document was created well before 18th January.
Since Rihanna’s tweet was also mentioned in the same document, logic dictates that it is entirely possible that Rihanna was roped in well before 18th January to tweet in support of the violent rioters and Khalistanis. It must be kept in mind that Rihanna had finally tweeted on the 2nd of February 2021. This would mean that the plan to make Rihanna tweet was afoot for at least 15 days and Congress, was possibly, in on it.
At this point, however, Congress’ involvement in roping in international elements to meddle in India’s internal affair is only speculation, at least as far as this document is concerned. One hopes with the Delhi police launching an investigation, the truth will reveal itself. However, two things can be said with near certainly under the circumstances:
Congress had access to the Toolkit and it is proved by the fact that it tweeted content verbatim taken from the toolkit tweeted by Greta Thunberg
Rihanna was roped in well in advance – possibly – way before the 18th of January 2021.
With the meticulous planning that has gone into defaming India on a global scale, the Delhi Police’s investigation becomes all-important in unravelling who from India was instrumental in the formulation and execution of this plan.
