Kya alien le gaye viman? Zee Rajasthan wonders if ‘aliens’ abducted IAF’s missing AN-32 aircraft which is still missing with 13 onboard

The Indian Air Force’s AN-32 transport plane which went missing with 13 people onboard near the China border on June 4 has still not been traced. Meanwhile, Zee Rajasthan ran a program yesterday where they wondered whether the aircraft has been abducted by aliens.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vacHE5I4ZWg

The video starts with a montage of Air Force officers running around, the air traffic control room and other images of Indian Air Force jets taking off. It then informs how the Indian Air Force’s jet has gone missing followed by images and videos of more aircrafts.

The voice-over anchor then says how there is no sign of the missing aircraft. “Na aasman ne viman ko nigla, na hi viman ko dharti leel gayi (neither the sky swallowed the aircraft, nor did the earth swallow it),” he says. “Na hi samandar mein samaya viman (nor did the aircraft crash in the ocean),” he added. This is followed by montage of the ocean, with navy vessels and a submarine.

The dejected voice-over anchor then says, “Char din se talash jaari, phir bhi hai haath khaali (Search operations on since four days but still empty-handed).”

Then, as if on cue, he asks, where did the aircraft go? A graphic of a UFO comes with light falling down. “Kahin alien to nahin le gaye viman? (Whether the aliens took away the aircraft?” he asks very seriously. This is followed by imagery of a spaceship entering over what looks like a stadium and one alien graphic appears next to a flying aircraft (not the AN-32).

In the next slide, he asks whether the missing aircraft is a conspiracy our neighbouring planet. This is again followed by some footage of alien-films from Hollywood. “Are aliens playing hide and seek with us humans? If the aircraft is in this world, then how come there are no signs of it?” he asks.

Then the voice-over anchor wonders whether the aliens reside at the Indo-China border? He asserts that aircrafts just don’t go ‘missing’ just like that and that there will always be some evidence. Whether lack of evidence points to the fact that the aircraft is hidden in a UFO?

He then says how the world is full of mysteries and anything is possible. Then why shrug off the possibility of alien involvement in the missing aircraft? And if the aliens did not take away the aircraft, then why is it not traced yet? He concludes by questioning whether the aliens took away the aircraft.

Disclaimer: OpIndia does not believe the aliens abducted the aircraft and we certainly do not believe aliens reside on the Indo-China border. This is a sarcastic post to show the mainstream media comes up with bizarre conspiracy theories.

Delhi: ABP journalist’s car attacked by bike-borne assailants at Barapullah flyover, three shots fired

An ABP News reporting team was attacked by two bike-borne assailants on the Barapullah flyover in Delhi, at wee hours of Sunday while the team was heading for a night shoot.

The gunmen shot three rounds of bullets at the vehicle carrying its reporter, cameraperson and the driver. The bullets hit the car, but the journalists escaped unhurt.

ABP News, an Indian Hindi news channel owned by ABP Group, has raised doubts on the law and order management in Delhi. While the team claimed of receiving a cold shoulder when they reached out to the cops near INA metro station, the Delhi Police has said that a case has been registered and the investigation is underway.

According to the report, the team had received information about the murder of a readymade clothes trader in Delhi’s Prasadnagar and was heading towards the site via the Barapullah flyover when two bike-borne assailants tried to apprehend the unit with a pistol.

They asked the team which comprised of reporter Siddharth Purohit, and cameraperson Arvind Kumar to park the car at a side. The driver was about to stop the car but after Purohit and Kumar’s suggestion, he sped up.

On seeing the car speeding up, the men fired three shots at the car. The first shot hit the driver’s door, while the second one smashed the driver side window pane. The third shot went amiss in air. After this, the assailants followed the team for about half a kilometre after which they fled.

The team alleged that they approached the police patrol at INA metro station and narrated the entire incident. However, instead of helping them out, or informing other stations, the cops removed the barricades and left.

According to the team, the incident took place around 1:30 am and the first call to the Police Control Room was made at 1:33 am. However, police arrived no sooner than 3:05 am after which, formalities regarding complaint were completed.

However, the Delhi police maintained that a case has been registered and investigations were underway.

Girls in a dance group invited to perform in Eid program forced to dance naked in Assam

In a shocking incident in Assam, girls in dance troop invited to perform at an Eid celebration were forced to strip and dance naked by rowdy spectators, although they managed to escape.

According to a complaint filed with police by Arup D Rabha, director of the dance group, a special cultural show was organised on the occasion of Eid in the Asolpara village in Chaygaon area in Kamrup District. Kuddus Ali, one of the organisers of the event, had contracted the Rainbow Dance Group of Boko in Assam for performing in the event on 7th June, and an amount of ₹37,000 was agreed upon for the same. Accordingly, the 42-member dance group reached the venue in the evening on that day, but they were surprised to see that there was not any environment of a cultural program there. When they contacted Kuddus Ali, he took them to a weird looking place which was surrounded by corrugated sheet fences on all sides.

When the dance group started their traditional dance performance, around 700-800 youths present their created a ruckus, and started trying to pull the clothes of the girls in the group. Instead of controlling the mob, the members of the organising committee also participated in this assault. They asked the girls to strip and dance sexual numbers naked, and threatened to attack them with daggers if they don’t comply.

Apparently, the organisers had lied to the public that they have invited a naked dance group from Cooch Behar in West Bengal, and had collected a huge sum from the public in this pretext. The complaint says that organisers and spectators touched the girls inappropriately while trying to get them to strip. They also verbally abused the group for refusing to dance naked.

Eventually, the group somehow managed to escape from the barricaded venue, some of them barefoot, and called their friends for help and also called the Boko police station. One vehicle of the dance group was also attacked by axes and steel digger bars, causing substantial damage to the vehicle.

The complaint filed with police, source: time8.in

Later in the night, the dance group reached Boko with police escort. The Rainbow dance group’s director Arup D Rabha filed an FIR with Boko police station regarding the incident, where he has named Kuddus Ali, Sayed Khan, Atikul Islam, Samajuddin, Jeherul Islam and Abbas Ali, along with all the members of the organising committee of the event as the accused in the case.

The police have started investigating the case, and have made two arrests so far, Subhahan Khan and Shahrukh Khan.

Bihar: Minor girl brutally raped and murdered in Jamui, protestors alleging police inaction sit on indefinite hunger strike

In yet another horrific incident a 16-year-old minor girl named Meena (name changed) was brutally raped and murdered in Jamui district, Bihar on May 26. The incident gained significance after several members of the Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya (Rajput) Mahasabha started protesting against the Bihar police alleging negligence in handling the case.

A group of members of the Mahasabha accompanied by several villagers assembled in Kachhar Chowk in Jamui on May 8 to sit on an indefinite hunger strike demanding justice for Meena. While addressing the dharna (sit-in protest), Sanjeev Kumar Singh said that a Special Investigative Team (SIT) should be formed to probe the case at the earliest.

The protestors further demanded that the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police should fast track the process and ensure that the culprits are brought to justice.

The Kshatriya Mahasabha’s State General Secretary Vishal Singh and Vinod Yadav said that the victim’s family should be provided police protection as the family was allegedly receiving threats to withdraw the case. They also demanded a compensation of Rs 3 lakh for the victim’s family.

A day before, dozens of people from Jain Sangharsh Samiti had also met the victim’s family and assured justice. They too had blamed the police for not giving importance to the case. Moreover, a member of the Samiti also handed over a demand letter to the District Development Officer, Dharmaveer Kumar Prabhakar demanding immediate action against the perpetrators.

The Convenor said that the police-administration should soon arrest the accused and provided compensation of Rs five lakh to the victim’s family. If no such action is taken by the administration, then the members of the Jana Sangharsh Samiti would be forced to agitate, and that the district administration would be held responsible for it, said the letter.

The protestors have alleged that the police were trying to shield the accused and the passiveness that was being adopted in the inquiry was because the authorities were trying to play vote bank politics. Further alleging that the police was not taking any concrete steps to arrest the miscreants the members of the Rajput Mahasabha said that they would take up the matter with the Chief Minister.

Meena was brutally raped and murdered on May 26 after she went out of her house to defecate around 8 am. The family became suspicious when Meena did not return home for long. Her mother Mamata Devi and sister Shabnam looked around in adjoining areas but could not find her. Later the villagers informed that a teenage girl’s dead body was lying nearby. When the family reached the spot they identified her as Meena. Her face had been mercilessly smashed with a rock as she lied there in cold blood.

We have earlier too reported various such cases where the police have delayed action due to its biases.

Recently, in the Aligarh murder case, wherein a two-and-a-half-years-old Tina (name changed) in Aligarh’s Tappal, the Uttar Pradesh, was brutally murdered, the SIT had taken action against the concerned SHO for delinquency. The DG had said that action was being taken against the police officials for negligence.

In April we had reported how Mumbai Police had reportedly not only declined to mention Akhtar Sheikh’s name in the FIR but also ignored invoking the crucial POCSO. Akhtar Sheikh was accused of raping a minor girl in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

Swarjya an online news portal had then identified two more such biased cases, one from New Delhi and one from Uttar Pradesh — where minor girls were kidnapped in a similar way but the police, in both cases, refused to add the accused’s name and POCSO ACT in the FIRs.

Uttar Pradesh: Shahnawaj caught red-handed for raping 9-year old Dalit girl in Varanasi

Within days of the barbaric act of killing a 3-year old girl at Aligarh surfaced, another act of child abuse has occurred in Varanasi when a man named Shahnawaj was caught red-handed after he raped a 9-year old Dalit girl.

According to the Times of India, Shahnawaj, a native of the town, had called the victim to his place on the pretext of giving her some clothes. As soon as the victim reached his place, he took her inside a room and allegedly raped her.

Reportedly, the girl began to cry after he tried to rape her and later pushed her outside his room. Later, the girl returned home and informed family members about the incident, who caught the accused and took him to the police station.

The police have lodged an FIR under section 376 (rape), 511 (punishable offence) of IPC, 325 SC/ST Act and section 7/8 POCSO and sent the girl for medical examination after taking the accused into the custody, said inspector Sharad Tripathi.

Similarly, in March 2019, a 17-year-old minor Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. The accused had even reportedly filmed a video and threatened to make it public if the girl reported the matter to anyone. The five accused, Danish, Farid, Umama, Maj and Sabur were arrested by the police.

In a similar deplorable incident at Aligarh, a Muslim man named Zahid had brutally choked a minor girl, Tina Sharma (name changed) to death over an argument with her family regarding a small loan amount. The brutal incident had shocked the conscience of the nation.

Zahid had brutally choked Tina with a dupatta (scarf) and hid the body in his house in a straw bag. After three days when the corpse started emitting a foul smell, Zahid threw Tina in a pile of trash. Tina’s body was completely decomposed with her eyes gouged out.

Media troll, who equated Dalits to animals, arrested for objectionable comments

On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh police arrested journalist Prashant Kanoja over spreading rumours and making offensive comments. Kanoja was once associated with ultra-left wing propaganda website The Wire.

According to the statement released by the Uttar Pradesh police, the officials picked up the accused after a case was registered at Hazratganj police station, Lucknow. The arrest was made after he was accused of spreading rumours on social media. The police officials have confirmed that the accused has confessed to his crime.

A case has been registered under IPC section 500 (defamation), 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) and section 67 of IT act (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form).

UP Police statement on the arrest

Contrary to his former employer, TheWire’s Founding Editor Siddharth Varadarajan’s opinion that Kanojia was arrested for his remarks against UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Police statement does not mention the ‘offensive remarks’ and rumours he was arrested for.

The accused Prashant Kanoja is notoriously known in social media circles for spreading fake news, rabid anti-Hindu hate especially against Dalits by making atrocious statements. Prashant Kanoja has a history of making vile comments on Dalits and Hindu saints. He had even referred to Dalits as ‘animals with no brains’.

Prashant Kanoja had even called for violence against Hindu saints and had expressed that Hindu saints should be killed to save humanity.

He had even mocked Hinduism and had referred to it as a “useless religion”.

Kanojia, who claims that he is an IIMC alumnus, was suspended from the IIMC for abusing a senior faculty according to Prof KG Suresh, an Emeritus Professor and former DG, IIMC.

Much like his former employers – The Wire, Kanoja has also been forefront at making a false allegation, insinuating hatred towards Hinduism and deliberately indulging Hinduphobic narratives.

Recently, along with another Samajwadi Party-friendly journalist associated with The Wire, Rohini Singh Kanoja had indulged in similar propaganda against Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath by twisting and attributing statements made by Mayawati to him which he had never made.

Hours after Parvez Ahmad was removed as Jammu and Kashmir Bank chairman, state vigilance dept raids the headquarters

Jammu and Kashmir government removed Parvez Ahmad as Chairman and Managing Director of J&K Bank and appointed R. K. Chibber as the interim chairman with immediate effect. Within minutes of Ahmad’s departure, state vigilance department proceeded to raid the bank’s corporate headquarters at MA Road in Srinagar.

Ahmad, who was appointed as the chairman by PDP-BJP government in October 2016 was removed five months ahead of the completion of his term.

Chibber previously served as the chairman of Grameen Bank and was one of the executive presidents of J&K bank before being appointed as the first non-Kashmiri chairman.

Since the raid, speculations are rife about the internal functioning and future of the bank.

As per reports, the government order, which was was signed by the additional secretary read, “Parvez Ahmad, chairman cum Managing Director shall cease to be Director on the Board of Directors of the bank and consequently be no longer the chairman cum managing director of the bank.”

The vigilance officials are looking out for records of nearly 1,200 appointments allegedly made as political recommendations by Ahmad’s under the previous state government. Earlier, in October 2018, J&K Governor Satyapal Malik had accused the bank of appointing employees on political recommendations. The issue was brushed under the carpet but a month later, State Accountability Commission headed by Malik had decided to treat the bank as Public Sector Undertaking.

The decision was, however, revoked after political outrage. The governor had come out to clarify that J&K Bank was registered as a government company under the Companies Act. Therefore, the bank would continue to be regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

J&K bank was incorporated on October 1, 1938, as the first bank in the country to emerge as a state-owned bank.

Former chairman Haseeb Drabu, who joined Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP in 2014, went on to serve as the finance minister in the last government.

This year about 1,44,800 candidates appeared for the bank’s online recruitment test for the posts of 250 probationary officers conducted between April 22 and 26.

According to reports, the bank was accused of favouring the students of Kashmir region by applying different selection criteria for different districts of Jammu and Kashmir region. While the cut-off marks for Jammu was 63, for Srinagar it was 42. For Samba and Kathua it was 56, for Udhampur it was 57. Whereas for Pulwama, Baramulla, and Rajouri it was 40. However, for Kupwara, Anantnag, Bandipora, and Kulgam it was 41.

In May, a group of candidates had protested against the alleged discrimination with Jammu region in the selection process. Their outrage found backing in political parties including the Congress and the BJP that openly supported their protest and demands. As the voices grew louder, and governor Malik intervened in the matter, the bank was forced to alter the cut-off marks to a uniform number of 40 across all districts of the state.

However, the protesting candidates demanded the recruitmentprocess be thoroughly investigated.

Ahmad, the then chairman later announced on Twitter that all aspirants with 40 plus marks would be eligible to sit for the mains of the PO exam. He added, “All those candidates having an assessment score of 40 and above shall be eligible to write the mains. Good luck aspirants. Stay tuned for a rescheduled date after arranging logistics.”

However, after the result for the PO conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai was declared, some students in Jammu also protested against the results. These protests continued for a few days. The bank, however, denied all allegations and dismissed the protests by terming their recruitment process ‘transparent’.

That bank later clarified its stand through an advertisement in local dailies, which read “Post declaration of the results of the bank’s online recruitment test for the preliminary examination conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai for the selection of probationary officers in the bank, it has come to the notice of the bank that there is a parochial attempt by some vested interests to misguide the applicants with baseless misinformation on the selection process being skewed to a particular district on the basis of merit cut off.”
