Subramanian Swamy announces support for head priest of Tirumala Tirupati, to move Supreme Court

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) head priest Ramana Dikshitulu has alleged that the state government and the temple administration are mishandling temple affairs. The head priest had demanded a CBI probe into the role of the state government and temple board in the alleged case of corruption.

“It’s unfortunate that we (hereditary priests), who for generations dedicated ourselves to temple service, are so helpless today. Until 1996, we were custodians of the Lord’s jewellery and maintained up-to-date records of the inventory. But, in the 22 years since Andhra government took over the reins, not once has the jewellery count been done. Of late, only the newer jewellery is given to adorn the Lord. What happened to the ancient ornaments? An open audit should be done. Digital records should be made for transparency,” he said.

The controversy comes merely a month after a non-Hindu was appointed on the Board of Trustees for the temple. The opposition had also lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu for his role in this alleged corruption.

Following the allegations levelled by the head priest, he was made to retire and was subsequently replaced by the Temple board.

Now, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has taken to Twitter to assert that the dismissal of the head priest by the TTD Board was grossly illegal and that he will move the Supreme Court to quash the sacking and also to appeal for a court-monitored CBI probe into the financial misappropriation of temple funds by the Tirumala Tirupati board.

Ramana Dikshitulu also asserted that he was being victimised for meeting BJP President Amit Shah and showing him how hidden treasures were being stolen.  He said, “As a head priest according to the protocol system, I have to receive any dignitary visiting the temple, maybe a President of India, Vice President of India or Prime Minister or Chief Justice of India or the governor or the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. But when Amit Shah came and I showed him the kitchen around and told him what happen there. See .. how it will be, it is carried by the CM and in the light of political turmoil of the state that I have been victimized for meeting Amit Shah and explaining to him everything.”

With the controversy gathering steam, it remains to be seen what steps are taken by the government and if the Supreme Court is moved for a probe into fund misappropriation.

Yogi government orders probe as minority institutions not admitting 50% minority students, say reports

According to report in Times of India, the Uttar Pradesh state government has ordered district magistrates of all 75 districts to probe minority technical and management institutes for not enrolling 50% students from the minority community after allegations were raised that these minority institutes were admitting students from SC category in place of minority students to pocket the scholarship amount. An inquiry into the scholarships awarded to students at these institutes has also been ordered.

The report states that the Uttar Pradesh social welfare department received a complaint on IGRS portal that several minority institutions in UP have not followed set norms and have instead admitted students from other communities. A probe has been ordered for last four years and if found guilty, these institutes would be blacklisted. Jagmohan Singh, district minority welfare officer of Bareilly and Badaun told TOI that minority institutes are allowed to admit students without counselling or giving entrance test. He said that while scholarship to minority students depends on the availability of funds, students belonging to the SC category get 100% fee reimbursement from the central government. They had received complaints alleging that some minority institutions gave 100% admissions to SC students so that they could eventually pocket the scholarship amount given by the Centre for the SC students.

According to officials, the institutes try to take advantage of the delay in the release of funds by the Centre for SC students since there have been times that there has been a gap of two-three years before funds are released. In such cases, institutes ask students to pay fees from their own pockets, which is eventually not reimbursed back to students once funds are released. From 2016-17, the government has started transferring scholarship amounts directly into bank accounts of students. Recently, in Lucknow, an FIR was filed against 10 institutions for fraudulently taking benefits under minority scholarship scheme.

Here is why LG declared invalid AAP’s appointment of lawyers including Indira Jaising, Anand Grover among others

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal has declared a panel of 14 lawyers appointed by AAP as ‘invalid’. According to reports, the Lt Governor has cited procedural lapses as the reason behind the order. The Delhi government had appointed the panel of lawyers to fight its cases.

The panel of lawyers reportedly included the names of prominent lawyers like Indira Jaising, Sanjay Hegde, Colin Gonsalves, Rebecca John and Anand Grover. The LG reportedly has stated that the panel, which was appointed in November 2017 did not have his approval and it had also violated the transaction of business rules. The panel was appointed to fight the cases against the Delhi government in the High Court and to give legal advice.

The Principal Secretary to the LG, Vijay Kumar, in a letter to Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash has reportedly written that the orders for setting up the panel has been issued without the approval of the LG and it is also in violation of transaction of business rules under the GNCTD Act. Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash has reportedly marked the copy of the order to the payment and accounts departments under the government of Delhi and hence the said lawyers have not been paid.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is facing probe over an alleged assault on the Chief Secretary, too to Twitter to play the victim without informing people of the entire facts of the case.

It is notable here that the Delhi government has constantly been at loggerheads with the office of the LG and the AAP leaders, including CM Kejriwal, have a number of defamation and other cases on them. According to a report in The Hindu, Rebecca John stated that she has appeared for Kejriwal in the defamation cases and also on the cases on his MLAs regarding the assault on the Chief Secretary.

Amit Shah fires fresh salvo at Congress, talks about their deal with PFI and unholy alliance with JD(S)

The president of Bharatiya Janata Party addressed the first press conference after Karnataka elections. He slammed Congress and JDS for playing negative politics and said the combination of both parties as ‘unholy alliance’.

He thanked the people of Karnataka for supporting the party in tough times. He also thanked the party workers for fighting the Congress and making BJP the single largest party in the state. Amit Shah slammed Congress for poor governance and held them responsible for 3700 deaths of farmers.

“If we had not staked claim to form government, it would have been against the mandate of Karnataka people,” he asserted.

He said that the BJP adhered to all the constitutional values while claiming to form the government and said Congress should be the last party to be speaking on Constitutional values.

He questioned the reason behind the celebrations, as Congress and JD(S) lost in most of the seats they contested including the then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and half of the members of the cabinet. He questioned Rahul Gandhi over his defeats in 14 state elections. “Despite using the money power to create fake election identity cards and joining hands with Islamist organisations like PFI and SDFI, Congress could not win a majority. This is a defeat of the Congress and they have no right to form the government”, he said. He accused both parties of hypocrisy, as both JDS and the Congress had campaigned against each other in the recent elections.

The BJP president also dismissed the opposition’s argument that the Congress was not given the opportunity to form the government in Goa and Manipur despite emerging as the single largest party in both the states. He also said that BJP will comfortably win the majority in next Lok Sabha elections.

Taking a jibe at the Congress he said, “Congress is now starting to have faith in constitutional bodies like Supreme Court, Election Commission and they even like EVMs,” He also said he hopes that the Congress respects the institutions even when they lose in upcoming elections.

The elections to 222 seats of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly were held on May 12th. BJP won 104 seats, emerging as the single largest party, while Congress and JDS secured 78 and 38 seats respectively. The Governor invited B S Yeddyurappa to form the government, following the usual convention of calling the largest party.

Events unfolded as Congress went to the Supreme Court, to stay B S Yeddyurappa from being Chief Minister, but the Supreme Court did not entertain their petition. The Supreme Court ordered an immediate floor test to be held on Saturday. BS Yeddyurappa resigned as Chief Minister as he claimed to not have the required numbers to prove majority. The JDS-Congress coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy will form the government on May 23rd.

Full text : Press conference by head priest of Tirumala Tirupati where he alleged massive corruption

The head priest of Tirumala Tirupati temple AV Rama Dikshitulu on Tuesday along with three other hereditary archakas gave voice to the anxieties and fears of the hereditary priests of the Tirumala temple at a press conference in Chennai. The revelations of Dikshitulu, is a straightforward attack on the temple administration Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), for many misdeeds and mis-governance. Here is the abridged version of the press conference transcript, covering all the major points he raised.

Communicating to the larger world the nature of the hereditary rights of the temple, Dikshitulu began with an elaborate recall of the 2000-year old history of the consecration of the main deity at Tirumala and the continuous history of service at the temple by them as per the Vaikanasa Agama.

The video of the press conference followed by the question and answer session can be viewed on YouTube. Following is the transcription of the same.

I think the devotees don’t know much about the archakas (priests) till now. Because, in Tirumala, the daily rituals are conducted as per the Vaikanasa Agama. This is a very complex shastra handed over by the God of Tirumala (Thiruvenkatamudayan) himself. The aradhana is conducted as per the agama and even the priests who should perform them have been appointed by the God. This is how: When the mother (mother of the priest) is pregnant, in the eighth month of the pregnancy the ritual of Vishnu bali, of initiating the to-be-born happens. The baby inside the womb receives the Narayana mantra, and the baby is born a priest. That is how the Vaikana priest born to Vaikanasa parents alone perform aradhana at Tirumala, as ordained by the God. That a baby born of the Vaikanasa clan, belonging to the particular order of rishis, following the Shukla Yajurveda shaka should only perform the rituals is the order of the God.

This has been happening for over 2000 years. From the time a Vaishnava, and also a Yadava from nearby, both were asked by Maha Vishnu in their dreams to take out the mula vigraha hidden in the anthill under a tamarind tree near the swami pushkarini in Tirumala to be installed for worship.

As per the divine command, Gopinatha, the archaka of Bharadwaja gotra, of Vaikanasa order went along with the Yadava and installed the murti. Since then his descendants have been performing the aradhana at the temple, divided into four different families, and till date, we are also assisted by the family of that Yadava bhakta. The family of the Yadava bhaktas assist us, to bring the archakas in the morning for the Suprabata sevai open the golden door, and after Ekanta sevai lock the golden door and leave the archakas at their home.

When things were going on methodically, suddenly the government brought about a law and cancelled the hereditary rights of the archakas. That is without creating any alternative provisions. This was a great shock to the archakas who from their birth think of nothing else but doing service to the God. The family of the archakas were left without support. Whatever was ordained to be given to the family of the archakas as per the shastras, the government thought that it was too much and cancelled. The duty of the archakas apart from performing aradhana is to maintain the sanctity of the temple. To adorn the jewellery of the God with sanctity, to protect it. To maintain the daily aradhana, utsavas as per the shastras, without missing the schedule and perform naivedyam (food offerings or bhog) as per the measures prescribed. Archakas were given houses around the temple by the erstwhile rajas. We put up with all these injustices, continued to do the aradhanam as per rules.

Without any bhakti, without any fear of the God, without fear of the repercussions, such officials have been appointed by the government, a big blunder has been committed.

These officials think they know everything. Arrogance born out of ignorance. Out of this arrogance they have interfered in the pujas and rituals beyond a limit. They in order to support their VIPs, film stars, rich visitors ask us to reduce the aradhana and also interfere in timings.

Suprabhatam (waking up the deity) has to be performed in brahma muhurtam, that is at 4 a.m., but is being done at 3 a.m. Not only that, on important days like English New Year, Vaikunta Ekadasi and other important days suprabhatam is performed at 12.05 a.m., considered the beginning of the day as per English calendar. Insisting that VIP’s are waiting for darshan Tomala Sevai (adorning with a garland of flowers and Tulsi), a very important event of the day, all the upacharas for the deity with agama mantras are recited. Even that they want us to conduct in 5 minutes. The sahasrama, 1000 namas, they say 500 is enough, 200 is enough, reduce that. The naivedyams are not as per the shastras, citing reasons of delay in getting them they have reduced it. Their duty is only to get their devotees for darshan, and the gains from that.

Shastras say these shortfalls in offerings, the deity doesn’t grant boons for devotees, many natural disasters can happen.  We fear this could turn out to be a curse on devotees. Since these are human follies, there are enough chances to correct them. The devotees have to come forward. This is a very sacred temple. Therefore, this temple’s sanctity, the power of the deity needs to be protected.

Records of invaluable ornaments contributed by many kings, their feudatories, ministers all those endowments are there, the epigraphic records. When we used to perform duties as hereditary priests we used to preserve them and when we transferred the service from one family to the other at the end of the year, openly in front of officials, gold valuers, we used to check every jewellery, weigh them, and then hand over. If there was any shortfall if there were any gems missing we used to pay compensation as per the valuation. That is how we preserved the jewellery till 1996. From ‘96 to now who has checked them? Are they available or not? We do not know. Only new jewellery is being adorned. Who is checking?

Sometime back there was a controversy over jewellery given by Krishnadevara Raya. Those are old ornaments, no reply was given about the issue of jewellery the great king donated. Old ornaments. They are the heritage of the nation, precious treasure. These belong to all the devotees.

The mantapas, what happened to the 1000-pillared hall all devotees know. It was a beautiful, ornate mantapa built in 10thcentury. It was pulled down mercilessly one IAS officer, appointed by the current CM in his earlier tenure; for no reason demolished it. I fought much, that it is an archaeological treasure. Have to pass on to future generations, have to preserve. I suggest that it be relocated like what has been done in the case of another mantapa. We don’t even know what happened to those pillars. The ratha mantapa, a beautiful old mantapa is also gone.

Ornaments, the shortfall in naivedyams, old heritage destroyed, depriving devotees and future generation of such treasures. That is why we wanted the devotees to spread all over the world to come forward to preserve the treasure.

Replying to questions from the reporters Dikshitulu alleged that there is a deep conspiracy to bring down the sanctity of the temple, to bring trouble to the devotees. He alleged it is a long-term plan to destroy the temple.

Q: Do you want ASI to take over the temple?

ASI said we will come take a look at the temple, the alterations, damages, but it was painted as a politically motivated move. I prefer ASI examination. Let them examine, assess what are the damages done to the ancient structure. What is the future? Drilling holes on the floor, in the name of installing tube lights, air conditioners. Every time a new officer comes they change and go on drilling new holes.

Q: Is there any damage?

Not yet, fortunately. But, if you have seen Ranganayakulu mantapam, you can see some new pillars have been erected because the ancient pillars have been sinking. Also been done at the Tirumalaraya mantapam.

Q: Don’t the consult experts?

I am the Vaikanasa agama advisor with Manoj Sonthalia as the head. They don’t ask for any advice from us. They are also beyond RTE. You can’t ask for any information. So it is all like an iron curtain, nothing comes out, what is happening inside the temple.

Q: Does the chief minister not know of this?

CM, he has been told many times. Maybe he is a good administrator, skilled, politician. He is from Tirupati when it comes to the temple I don’t know for what reason he never interferes, he never comes into the picture.

Q: Has there been any audit on old ornaments?

No, we are demanding audit… Till ‘96, we had detailed records. We still have them. In processions, we see some of the old ornaments, most of the ornaments not seen, only new ornaments. We use whatever they give. They give most of the time new ornaments.

Q: What do you expect?

We have prepared a presentation, sending to the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Supreme Court, Chief Justice of AP High Court. We want accountability, we demand accounts of Hundi collection.

Even today a ruling party MLA wanted Rs.10 crores of building a marriage hall in his constituency. There are already three halls built by TTD, sparingly used. Where is the need to build a new one with funds from TTD?

As per the TTD rule, the contributions made by the devotees have to be used only for the Sevas of the God and for creating facilities for the devotees. It is very clear, but leave that aside and marriage halls somewhere, concrete roads at some place. Some devotees have gone to Court.

Interference of authorities, deny those families that have been in service for 2000-years, bring people they want in as archakas. We are going to court against this.

Next generation, ready after studies, and equipped with Shastra studies, the hereditary archakas. But they are not being appointed. There are court orders that say they should be appointed. But that is not followed, and there is corruption in that.

Officials appointed as employees, there should be a code of conduct, there should be minimal training in adhyatmika, dharmika tradition.

There should be a CBI enquiry on corruption.

India shines in the list of wealthiest nations, while Pakistan faces humiliation

0

In another tale of Indian economic reforms bearing fruit, India has become the world’s sixth wealthiest nation with a private wealth of $8,230 Billion. India has topped the list of “best-performing wealth markets” while Pakistan leads the worst performing wealth market list according to a report according to the AfrAsia Bank Global Wealth Migration Review 2018.

India grew at a rate of 25% TO $8.23 trillion while the world average rose around 12% from the 2016’s $ 192 trillion. Pakistan has suffered a decline of 10% per annum in 2017 along with Nigeria. Uncertain political and economic environment has deterred investors from investing in Pakistan.

The said report also forecast that India will continue to have this growth culminating in 200 percent over the next ten years. It also predicts that India will become the fourth wealthiest nation in the world, overtaking the United Kingdom and Germany with a private wealth of $24.69 Trillion.

The US is the wealthiest country in the world with a total wealth of $62,584 billion, followed by China ($24,803 billion) at the second place and Japan ($19,522 billion) at the third place. The others in the top 10 list include the UK ($9,919 billion), Germany ($9,660 billion), India ($8,230 billion), Australia ($6,142 billion), Canada ($6,393 billion), France ($6,649 billion) and Italy ($ 4,276 billion).

The report defines total wealth as private wealth that is held by all the individuals living in the nation. The report excludes government funds from the calculated sums. The individual’s assets including equity, cash and property and business interests are also calculated.

Pakistan has been bearly making ends for quite some time now. It is sustaining on Chinese loans which are forcing them into an effective debt-trap.

Opposition lashes out at Naidu after Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chief Priest accuses him of corruption

We had earlier reported that Chief Priest of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Ramana Dikshitulu, had accused the state government and Temple administration of corruption, impropriety and mishandling of Temple affairs. Since then, he has been made to retire by the TTD Board and has been replaced by A Venugopala Deekshitulu. He has also directly accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the officials appointed by him for the disappearance of jewels donated by devotees.

On the allegations against the Chief Minister, leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Jaganmohan Reddy, has asserted that Naidu’s “lust for money and power is evident”. He said, “Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam (TTD) has become an epicentre of corruption, with continuous disruption of tenets and practises in Agama Shastra. The state is resorting to taking the wrath on priests who question the policies of the Government.” He went on to add, “The recent issue of Chief priest in Tirumala is a case in point where Chandra Babu’s lust for money and power is evident. As a mark of legacy, the “Anuvanshik sevakulu” have right to serve the lord till their age and energy permits them. As there are no pay scale or retirement benefits accrued to these ‘Anavamsika Sevakulu’, there is no purpose of fixing a retirement age for these priests as they don’t come under regular employees. In the history of TTD, no government or leaders have ever resorted to such gross actions.” He also promised that should the YSRCP be elected to power, he will revoke all the decisions taken by the Chief Minister, including the retirement policy for the priests.

During an interview with Prema Sridevi of Republic, the Chief Priest said that he was victimized for meeting Amit Shah when the BJP President visited the Temple and he showed him how hidden treasures from the temple kitchen was stolen away.

Allegations of mismanagement of Temples and the appropriation of their wealth by the Secular State is nothing new. The loss of our cultural heritage as a consequence of mismanagement has been well documented by various media outlets. From looting of Temple funds to the encroachment of temple lands, the secular state has been accused by various groups of misusing Temple wealth. Indic Collective, a civil liberties group, has been campaigning to free Hindu Temples of government control.

Mayawati devises ‘tricks’ to save her govt bungalow after being given eviction notice by Yogi govt

BSP supremo Mayawati seems to have started to devise tricks to save her government bungalow in Lucknow, which she has been asked to vacate by the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government, Dainik Jagran has reported.

As per the report, Mayawati after deciding to leave her 13 A Mal Avenue bungalow, has planned on making it a memorial rest house, named after BSP founder Kanshi Ram. Till date, the place adjacent to the bungalow was called the memorial rest house.

The report has claimed that Mayawati was reluctant to vacate her house and hence decided to put up the Kanshi Ram memorial board, a picture of which was carried by a Jansatta report:

Mayawati devises 'tricks' to save her govt bungalow, after being given eviction notice by Yogi govt
Mayawati house board

As per the Jansatta report, this move will result in her not letting go of the bungalow, while she shifts to the nearby 9 Mal Avenue house, which is privately owned. The report also claims that owing to the bungalow being linked to Kanshi Ram, the Yogi government would be cautious in its approach.

We had recently reported how the Yogi government had issued notices which directed six former state Chief Ministers to vacate their official bungalows within the next 15 days. These notices are in line with a 7 May Supreme Court order which struck down the act which enabled the former Chief Ministers eligible for official accommodation.

These six former Chief Ministers include Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, Rajnath Singh, Kalyan Singh and N D Tiwari.

Earlier it was noted that Mulayam too had tried to save his and his son Akhilesh’s bungalow by requesting CM Yogi to get around the rules and allot those bungalows to SP leaders Ram Govind Chaudhary and Ahmed Hasan.

It is now also being claimed that Akhilesh on Monday wrote to the state property officer asking for more time to vacate his bungalow.

In an open letter, Savio Rodrigues slams Delhi Archbishop who appealed to ‘pray for new govt in 2019’

The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Delhi, Anil Couto, has issued a letter calling for the Catholics of India to start a campaign of fasting and prayers for a new government in upcoming general elections in 2019. Savio Rodrigues, former senior Congress leader from Goa, who resigned after the Goa election debauchery took to Twitter to express his shock on the Catholic Church walking on biased propaganda.

Condemning Archbishop’s letter, he questioned the media for not calling out the communal propaganda.

He then took to Goa Chronicle, a publication he owns, to pen a stinging open letter addressed to the Archbishop.

His letter has been reproduced here in totality with due permission. He writes :

The Holy Bible in the Chapter 11:11 of Gospel of Luke, “Jesus asks, “What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead.”

It is with extreme disappointment that I have to once again write on a topic that disturbs me because the values of peace, love and hope that I have imbibed in me comes from my unflinching beliefs in the teachings of Jesus.

Unfortunately its the Catholic Church who acts as custodian of Jesus’s teachings that appears to be walking the path that is completely opposite to the lessons in humanity that Jesus expressed through his teachings. Instead of offering a fish are we attempting to offer the child a snake.

With due respect to your office and your vocation as Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Delhi, I am shocked, disappointed and downright angry reading the contents of your pastoral letter.

Here is an extract of that letter that has disturbed me the most:

“We are witnessing a turbulent political atmosphere which poses a threat to the democratic principles enshrined in our Constitution and the secular fabric of our nation.”

This country has witnessed immense communalism, terrorism and rampant corruption in every corner of democracy from Emergency to communal riots under the watch of different political parties in power and every Indian knows this to be true. But are you categorically stating the India is currently witnessing a turbulent political atmosphere that is different from any other political year in the past.

Please tell the people of India what is your view on the Emergency that took the very principle on which the country was formed on and threw it in the dustbin because one particular political leader thought its was her birthright to do what she felt was right for her political party in the guise of doing it for the country. I was not even born when it happened, I would like to know what was official stand that the Catholic Church took at that time.

Please tell the people of India when innocent Kashmiri Pandits were raped and killed by Kashmiri Muslims driven out of their home and left to fend for themselves, what was the stand of the Catholic Church and did it official condemn the rape and murder of innocent Indians. Was there not a political turmoil at that point of time.

Please tell the people of India more recently what is stand taken by the Catholic Church in the numerous killings of Hindus on the grounds of religion and politics in different parts of India. Do I, as a Christian turn a blind-eye to this truth or does the Church see only Christians and Muslims as victims of atrocities?

Please tell the people of India the stand of the Catholic Church of the media reports and cases filed against Priests abusing minors in different parts in India and the world; is that not turmoil in the innocent minds that have been brutally violated by a representative of God.

The game that the Catholic Church is playing of division is devious and demonic in nature. The democratic principles of this country is not only for us minority but for the majority as well.

Look at the India around you and don’t go by media reports, its a Hindu at St Michael’s Church in Mahim, a Christian at the Ajmer Dargah and a Muslim at the Shantidurga Temple in Goa. This exist is because they understand the true meaning of secularism.

Secularism is not acceptance of all religion in governance, it is the acceptance of no religion in matters of governance.

I agree with you that we should fast and pray but this must be done to eradicate all those who on the basis of religion divide us Indians.

I am proud of my Hindu lineage, it has helped me understand the message of Jesus and the purpose to my life.

It is my belief in the teachings of Jesus that I have the courage to stand up and tell you that as Christians we must unite all, even those that we think are the sinners; but repentance must come from us first before we go to change others.

The Bible says, “I have carved you on the palm of my hands”. I was taught by my parents that, that line in the Bible was for every single human creation of God and not only those who follow the Catholic Church.

India is a nation of unity in diversity, I believe we are more spiritual a nation than religious.

Savio Rodrigues, known for his extremely forthcoming views, had earlier also slammed Archbishop who appealed to ‘save India from nationalist forces’.
