People have been thronging the place of the encounter, incidentally, the scene of the crime in the veterinarian's murder as the police had taken the accused there to recreate the scene for interrogation.

The affidavit is connected to several allegations against Ajit Pawar, who was the minister of water resources between 1999 and 2009, including that of escalating costs in 32 irrigation projects in Vidarbha by Rs 17,700 crore within three months. 

The victim's father has thanked the government and police for delivering justice to the perpetrators.
