From the moment he became Assam Congress President, Gaurav Gogoi’s social media feed has been filled with 'congratulations' from suspicious accounts.

Congress politician Jairam Ramesh used the news to take a dig at Modi and raise doubts on India’s global standing.

The raids are reportedly related to the investigation of an embezzlement of funds worth crores from the Karnataka Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited (KVSTDCL).

The development has come as a major embarrassment for Congress scion Rahul Gandhi, who recently caste aspersions on the BJP government at the Centre regarding the conduct of a national caste survey.

The Trinamool Congress MP, who was jailed for spreading fake news, had mocked the legacy of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar repeatedly between 2019 and 2021.

The BJP President highlighted the notable decisions taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, including abrogation of Article 370, abolition of Triple Talaq, bringing of the Waqf Amendment Act and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), etc.

Dr. Rohini Ghavari informed that Chandrashekhar Azad has the support of big political parties. However, she is confident that once his real character is revealed, these political parties will be ashamed of associating themselves with him.

"He (Newton Das) must be a voter in Bangladesh. He was born there. He had come to India after Covid-19 outbreak to settle some land disputes. I do not know where he lives now. I don't know how he became a voter here," the accused's brother Tapas Das told TV9 Bangla.

"As the Royal Challengers Bangalore team has a large fan following across the country, holding the felicitation at the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha may attract lakhs of cricket fans, potentially creating security challenges due to a shortage of officers/staff in the Vidhana Soudha security wing," DCP Gowda warned.

Instead of self-introspection and course correction, Rahul Gandhi is back at his usual blame game tactics, conspiracy theories, and outlandish claims of institutional corruption (wherever Congress fails to win elections).
