The Congress party weaponised language politics during the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha elections. However, playing with people's insecurities seems to have now backfired on its leaders and workers.

When the Maharashtra Assembly Election results are compared to the Lok Sabha elections held just five months ago, the victory becomes even more impressive.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi has now been reduced to a paltry 46 seats in an Assembly of 288 seats. The rival MahaYuti, on the other hand, secured a mammoth 230 seats.

Among the total voters in the constituency, 62% are Muslims. Of these, around 45,000 are Muslim Rajputs, and around 40,000 are Turks. They played a key role in the victory of Ramveer Singh Thakur in Kundarki.

As the Mahayuti alliance inches closer to a landslide victory in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, incumbent CM Eknath Shinde stated that, just as the alliance fought the elections together, they will collectively decide on the CM face once the final results are declared on Saturday.

However, the debate panellists were in splits as it turned to a picture of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra with Adani. Appearing as a guest on the debate OnlyFact India’s founder Vijay Patel said, “This photo is with Jija Ji (Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law,) not Modiji”.

BJP highlighted the track record of opposition parties and their business dealings with the Adani Group.

The Adani indictment document itself mentions that “the charges in the indictment are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.”

The authorities clarified that police official used his pistol to control the violent Muslim crowd which attacked them.

According to Today's Chanakya exit poll, BJP-led NDA is likely to win 45-50 seats in Jharkhand while JMM-led alliance could win 35-38 seats.
