26-year-old Suchir Balaji, former OpenAI researcher was mysteriously found dead at his San Francisco apartment by the police. Balaji had raised concerns about the Artificial Intelligence Company’s way of functioning while working there.
San Francisco Police was called to Balaji’s apartment by his friends after they got concerned about his well being. When Police arrived there, they found Balaji’s body. His body was apparently discovered on November 26, but the news has only come to light now.
Reportedly, there is no foul play involved, and it is being considered a case of suicide.
Suchir Balaji had accused OpenAI of copyright violations after resigning from the company. He left OpenAI in August this year.
