Rahul Gandhi resumed attack on PM Modi after Financial Times and Guardian claimed that Adani secretly invested in own shares

Smriti Irani stated that those that Soros considers pliable need to be aware that India has already thwarted imperialistic plans and will do so again. "In India, democracy has and will continue to triumph.  These attempts to weaken Indian democracy will be addressed with the might of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," she stated. 

On February 13, Adani Group, during a market crash following a short-seller report, declared that each of its portfolio firms' balance sheets was very healthy, that it had good corporate governance, and that its assets were secure.

Adani Group stocks were put under Additional Surveillance Measures (ASM) to curb short selling and stock volatility.

Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Enterprises Ltd referred to the volatility in the stock over the last week and said the interest of the investors is paramount and to insulate them from any potential financial losses, the Board has decided not to go ahead with the FPO.
