Responding to OpIndia’s RTI, the MHA confirmed over Rs 630 crore released under the Special Infrastructure Scheme to Naxal-affected states, reflecting the Modi government’s focus on accountability and modernisation in its war against Left-Wing Extremism.

The RTI reply highlights a sharp fall in Naxal violence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with BJP-led governments showing stronger centre–state coordination and higher operational success in curbing insurgency across India’s shrinking Red Corridor.
