On Wednesday, February 14th, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the first Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates.

The 108 feet tall BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi is the first stone Hindu temple in the UAE and the biggest in West Asia.

In May this year, a group of Indian workers in US had filed a lawsuit alleging human trafficking and forced labour and had claimed they were confined and forced to work for as low as USD 1 on construction of the Swaminarayan temple in New Jersey's Robbinsville.
