Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has taken stern action in the incident involving the deployment of an unsuitable train with its coaches in poor condition for BSF personnel going on duty to Kashmir from Tripura.

Revealing the details of Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of May 8 and 9, in the Jammu region Border Security Force (BSF) DIG, SS Mand said that Pakistan's Chakbura launch pad was targeted and there are reports of casualties to 7-12 people, including 3 Pak Army personnel and a few Rangers.

"As part of this operation, on the night of May 9 and 10, the BSF carried out a deliberate and planned attack on a Lashkar-e-Taiba launchpad in "Looni", which is located in Pakistan just 3 kilometers from the international border," Shashank Anand said.

A total of 153 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were pushed-back through the borders in Sylhet (32) and Moulvibazar (121) by BSF between Saturday night (24th May) and Sunday morning (25th May).
