Vinod Chauhan was arrested by the ED from Goa on Friday for allegedly transferring bribe money in Delhi excise scam to AAP

The affidavit highlighted that Arvind Kejriwal had been evading interrogation, despite being summoned nine times by the ED.

Singh, while addressing a press conference on Tuesday claimed that the Tihar Jail has become a 'torture chamber' for Kejriwal.

"The cause of concern is he was allowed prescribed home-cooked food because he claimed he has high diabetes. But he is having mangoes, sweets, and sugar with tea. This is a basis to create a ground for bail," Hossain submitted.

In a separate legal development in this case, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court extended the judicial custody of Arvind Kejriwal till 23rd April. 

“The Competent Authority hereby terminates the engagement of Bibhav Kumar, in terms of the provisions of Rule 5 of the Central Civil Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1965, with immediate effect," the order by YVVJ Rajshekhar, Special Secretary Vigilance read.

The Delhi HC said the material collected by ED indicates Arvind Kejriwal conspired and played an active role in the use and concealment of proceeds of crime.

Special judge dismissed K Kavitha's plea with certain observations related to her primary facie involvement and destruction of evidence.

ASG Raju said though the ED had an arguable case, it was ready to concede and thus Singh may be released on bail. 

ASG Raju, representing ED, stated that Kejriwal has said that Vijay Nair reported to Atishi Marlena, and not him.
