The TMC leaders met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as visited the residence of National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah. The TMC delegation met the family of retired army officer Amarjeet Singh who was killed in Pakistani shelling on 8th May.

It is notable here that Omar Abdullah neither spoke about attacking Pakistan, or doing any sort of act of aggression towards Pakistani people. He was merely suggesting the revival of a navigation project that would better utilise the waters of Jhelum and open up navigation routes, besides bringing development for the people of north Kashmir.

Six terrorists were neutralised in Jammu and Kashmir under two separate operations in Kelar, Shopian and Tral, VK Birdi, Inspector General of Police for Kashmir Zone, said on Friday.
