Addressing people during the padyatra, Sinha said drug trafficking was directly linked to terrorism in the region and warned of strict action against anyone connected to such networks.
The tourist spots were closed since the ghastly Pahalgam terror attack in April this year, in which Pakistan-based terrorists killed 26 tourists after verifying their religion.
"When a terrorist is neutralised in Jammu and Kashmir, his funeral procession is no longer allowed to be taken around the city amidst sloganeering; instead," LG Manoj Sinha said.
