The letter, submitted to the Maha governor at 10.20 am today, stated that BJP's Devendra Fadnavis, who took oath as CM on Saturday, doesn't have the requisite numbers of MLAs on his side to form the government.
Putting the blame on the BJP, Thackeray had said it was BJP who refused to form the government with Shiv Sena by not keeping the 'promise' that it had made before the Lok Sabha polls. The BJP has been firm that no such 'promises' were made.
The Congress leaders in the state have predicted a doomsday scenario for the party if they fail to tie up with Shiv Sena and NCP to form the next government in Maharashtra. The Congress MLAs housed in a Jaipur resort are also reportedly becoming 'aggressive'.
